Hi everybody! My name is Hayden Brame and I am a doula here in the Twin Cities. I have been working with children and their families since I was a teenager (more than 10 years now!) and am so passionate about families and making sure that every family has the best start imaginable. I believe that giving birth should be empowering and focus on the choices that you are able to make and on giving you the information that you need to make those choices. I will advocate for your decisions, from everything from what music to be played to what pain management you would prefer, and I will also hold space in the moment for any changes that you need. Birth is sacred and should be treated as such- at the end of this experience, you'll have a new member of your family to start a life with and I want to make sure that you are set up for success every step of the way!

Hi, I'm Eleanor Trenary. I believe that all expectant parents deserve an empowered birthing experience. No matter how you give birth, you should feel like you understand your options and are respected, supported, and cared for throughout your birthing journey. I am a mom with a lifelong passion for reproductive rights and gender equity, and have enjoyed being an advocate in many different settings. As my friends started having kids, and I went through my own pregnancy and birthing journey, I realized the powerful role that doulas play and the benefit of having continuous support for birthing people and their partners. I started reading and learning more about birth, taking childbirth education classes, and eventually completed full Doula and Lactation training with Community Aware Birthworker. When I’m not doula-ing, you can find me hiking, drinking tea, knitting, and soaking up snuggles with my husband and son. My first career is in public policy and I currently work as an environmental lobbyist. I graduated from Macalester College and have a Masters in Public Affairs from Indiana University.

As a parent myself, I know how overwhelming it can be to navigate pregnancy, birth, and parenting. My goal is always to help you fully understand your options, confidently make your choice, and effectively communicate your needs to those around you. I believe that the development of these self-advocacy skills will serve you for the rest of your life. I am 21 years old and I am also married with 2 wonderful children! I had a doula for my first birth and I've never felt so secure. I had someone who had me, my boundaries and wants in mind. I never knew what i wanted to do as a career and after that whole experience I knew exactly what i wanted to do. Birth is such a vulnerable process and emotions are high. Hello, my name is Amanda Jurrens, and I am deeply honored to walk alongside you on one of the most transformative days of your life, the day you welcome your child into the world. My journey into birth work began with nearly a decade of experience in the assisted reproductive technology industry, both professionally and personally as a three-time gestational carrier. Those experiences lit a fire in me that has only grown stronger with time. Over the years I have had the privilege of supporting many births, and each one has deepened my reverence for the incredible things the human body is capable of. I am, at heart, a total birth nerd, especially when it comes to the biomechanics of labor. I am endlessly fascinated by pelvic dynamics: how the pelvis moves, how a baby navigates through it, and how small positional shifts can open space and work with physiology rather than against it. This passion led me to complete training in the Body Ready Method, an evidence-based approach focused on preparing the body for physiologic birth. Understanding the interplay between posture, movement, and fetal positioning is not just an intellectual interest for me. It is something I bring directly to your labor support. I believe deeply in physiologic birth, in trusting the process, working with the body's wisdom, and creating the conditions for birth to unfold as naturally as possible. That said, I meet every family exactly where they are. My role is never to push an agenda but to make sure you feel informed, empowered, and genuinely supported in whatever birth looks like for you. Hi there! I’m Megan (she/her). I’m so glad you’re considering doula support for your or your partner’s upcoming birth. I believe all parents deserve judgement-free, evidence-based support during their labor, birth and postpartum. My journey to fully birth obsessed began during my first pregnancy. I needed to know all the things and hear all the stories. I quickly learned that many birthing people, especially those in marginalized communities, do not receive the care they deserve during their journey to and through parenthood. This is when I discovered doulas and the support they provide. So I hired my doula, had two supported and empowering in-hospital birth experiences and went on my way as a mom of two, working a typical 9-5 in corporate marketing— never quite shaking a new found desire to make a difference in the birth community. Fast forward a few years, endless heart-to-hearts with my family and friends about making a change and I finally enrolled in a doula training. I truly believe this is what I’m meant to do and I’m so glad to have found my way here. My goal as a birth and postpartum doula is to empower birthing people and their partners through judgment-free and evidence-based support. When I’m not doula-ing, I’m usually spending time with my husband, our two daughters and two elder pups. Before parenthood and a pandemic hit, you could find us skiing, hiking, trying new restaurants, taking on a house project we probably should have left to professionals or binging our favorite shows. Jerriah Marie (She/Her)… is a wellness practitioner, birth worker, and medicine wombman located in the twin cities. When she is not serving families in the birth space you can find her writing poetry, whipping up herbal remedies in her kitchen, and sharing cuddles with her daughter Leilani. Her passion for birth work began at age 5. After witness her first birth, she knew that being a birthworker was her mission. As a young adult Jerriah was always deeply moved by birth and found her way supporting family members and friends during their labor. It wasn't until 2020, after the birth of her daughter, that this spark reignited back into her life and she dove deep into the meaningful work that she now does as a birth worker. This is a quote that has stuck with me as I explore my career path. Becoming a doula is something I did not follow through with until the murder of George Floyd. Seeing the striking images of pregnant Black mothers protesting around the country ignited the fire in me to finally complete my training to become a certified perinatal educator - meaning I can provide childbirth education, prenatal support, labor and delivery support, lactation support, and newborn care support. But my calling to birth work started on the day I was born with my mother being hospitalized for 2 months postpartum from an avoidable mistake during an emergency c-section. I value empathy, collaboration, and being open minded. As a doula, I am intentional about serving my clients in a way that supports self-empowerment, so they feel they have all the information they feel they need to make the best decision for them and their baby/babies. I do not shy away from vulnerability, and I believe this allows me to have relationships with my clients built on trust.
