My name is Christina, and I have been a doula since 2011. I have always had a deep passion for helping expectant mothers, and being a doula has been a very rewarding calling in my life. While living in Chicago in 2011, I pursued my doula training through DONA International and also attended Bradley childbirth education courses, as part of my training. I worked with the Chicago Volunteer Doulas in four Chicago hospitals, served private clients, and became a New Moms Group facilitator. I moved to Boston in 2012 and continued to be a doula, while working at a national maternal and child health nonprofit. I also received a Master of Public Health degree and specialized in Maternal and Child Health. In the spring of 2014, I attained my certification in Lamaze Childbirth Education and loved being an educator for new families. Hi, I’ve been an overnight postpartum doula for 4 years and a birth doula for one year. I’m a mother of two and a grandmother to two grandson. I believe parents need support within the first few weeks after coming home with the new addition. Sleep deprivation is real and there might be older siblings that need you, so getting the proper attention of sleep is important . I am there to help you with whatever you need to make your life and your family’s life manageable. I will care for your baby overnight ( feeding, changing, burping, rocking etc)while you get the sleep you deserve. I’ll tidy up your kitchen and wash, dry and fold a load(s)of baby laundry that you might have. If your family has laundry I will be more than willing to wash their laundry as well. If you are breast feeding or bottle feeding I am here to help and support you in any way I can.

Emily is the founder and owner of Carolina Birth and Wellness. She is passionate about advancing maternal care throughout the Triangle and North Carolina as a whole. Over the years, Stacy has been trained at Bumi Sehat, a birth center in Bali, Indonesia, where she had been learning and volunteering off and on for the last 18 years. Stacy is the mama to three daughters who were all born in their own ways on their own time at home. Earlier in life, to stay near her children, she taught in Waldorf education and guided youth on outdoor hikes. Movement and nature contribute to trauma recovery.
