Hi, my name is Raika. I am a certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist with approximately five years of experience supporting newborns and their families. I provide calm, compassionate, and individualized care, helping parents feel confident and supported during the postpartum period. My experience includes overnight newborn care, feeding and bottle support, diapering, soothing techniques, newborn sleep guidance, reflux and colic support, nursery organization, and detailed baby-care reports. I am CPR certified, TrustLine registered, HIPAA trained, and currently studying Early Childhood Development to continue expanding my knowledge of infant and child development. I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish and respect each family’s culture, values, routines, and parenting preferences. My goal is to create a peaceful and nurturing environment where parents can rest, recover, and enjoy this special season with their baby.

Recent review

Raika supported our family for 8 weeks, and we are very grateful for the care she provided. She was professional, reliable, kind, and attentive throughout the entire time she worked with us. She showed great knowledge and confidence in newborn care and always made us feel comfortable and supported. Raika was very caring with our baby, communicated clearly with us, and was always willing to help with whatever was needed. Her calm and gentle presence made a big difference during the postpartum period. We truly appreciated her dedication, professionalism, and the care she gave our family. We would highly recommend Raika to any family looking for a dependable and experienced postpartum doula.

My name is Shakila Marando, and I am the founder of DOULAS by the BAY. I am a mother of two and have spent over 25 years working with children and families, including the last 17 years supporting families as a doula through pregnancy, birth, and the early newborn days. This work comes from a deep belief that no family should ever feel alone during this journey. I work closely alongside our team of doulas, sharing the same commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care. Together, we have supported thousands of families across Northern and Southern California, providing steady guidance, reassurance, and hands-on support when it matters most. Our doulas are carefully selected, certified, and deeply cared for. Every team member is Birth and Postpartum Certified, Perinatal Mood Disorders Certified, CPR trained, HIPAA compliant, fully vetted, and insured. With ongoing mentorship and professional development, we ensure families receive safe, reliable, and heart-centered care in their homes. I created DOULAS by the BAY to build a trusted, supportive space where families feel seen, informed, and confident—while expanding access to doula care and strengthening our community, one family at a time.

Shakila is the best there is. We did not have a night doula for our first child. For our second, we needed one because I had to go back to work right away. I was very nervous about leaving my baby with someone else during the night hours, particularly at just two weeks. Shakila let me control as much of the process as I wanted to so I always felt like she was doing what I wanted. She has a magical touch with babies and had our daughter sleeping through the night by two months old. She would not even leave in the morning until the baby was back to sleep, which allowed us an extra hour of sleep on top of the time she was with us. She was worth every penny and then some. THANK YOU SHAKILA! We miss you.

Hello! My name is Lynda Pius, and I am a Certified Postpartum Doula based in the Bay Area, California. I am passionate about supporting families through their postpartum journey, providing a listening ear, compassionate care, and a welcoming presence. I hold a degree in Health Education and I am currently pursuing my second degree in Nursing, with the goal of becoming a pediatric nurse. I am committed to continually expanding my knowledge and skills. I am certified through reputable doula training programs and have also earned credentials as a Certified Nursing Assistant, First Aid/CPR for infants and adults, and have volunteered with organizations such as the United MSD Foundation as a professional ambassador. I believe the postpartum period can be a time of healing, connection, and peace when we create a supportive environment and use positive affirmations to nurture both parent and baby. My practice focuses on providing a judgment-free space where parents can access both emotional and informational support. In my free time, I enjoy reading to my baby, experimenting with new recipes, and listening to good music.

Having Lynda as my doula was one of the greatest blessings during such a vulnerable and life changing season. From the very beginning, she created a space where I felt safe, heard, and completely supported. Her calm presence reassured me in moments of uncertainty, and her knowledge gave me confidence in every decision I needed to make. She did not just care for me physically, she cared for me emotionally. Lynda took the time to explain things clearly, offered practical guidance, and supported my choices without judgment. That balance of professionalism and compassion made all the difference. What touched me most was the way she extended that same warmth and patience to my daughter. She was gentle, attentive, and genuinely kind, which meant so much to me as a mother. Seeing my child comfortable and cared for while I received support was incredibly reassuring. Because of Lynda, I look back on my experience with gratitude rather than overwhelm. I feel stronger, more confident, and deeply thankful that she was part of our journey. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any mother seeking not just a doula, but a steady and compassionate presence during such an important time.

Mindy has been an incredible postpartum doula, and I would give her a 5-star review without hesitation. From the very beginning, she was warm, caring, and genuinely affectionate with my baby. Within just a few days, I felt completely comfortable trusting her to care for my little one independently, which gave me much-needed time to rest and focus on my recovery. What stood out most was how thoughtful and respectful Mindy was about our family’s preferences. She always checked in with me, followed my choices, and offered helpful suggestions when it made sense. When my daughter developed a severe diaper rash, Mindy shared practical guidance that truly helped her heal. She was also incredibly efficient and proactive. She helped with bottles, laundry, and other household tasks while the baby was sleeping, often without even being asked. Mindy is reliable, punctual, and deeply supportive. I feel very lucky to have had her help during such a vulnerable time, and I would absolutely hire her again and recommend her to any family looking for postpartum support

Hey, My name is Divya. I am a pediatric Sleep consultant and mom of two toddlers. I know the importance of sleep in a family and work towards spreading my knowledge across families. When I talk to a struggling parent, I know where they are coming from. If you are struggling with your little one’s sleep struggles, please reach out to me and we should talk

Recent review

We highly recommend Divya to anyone struggling with their baby's sleep. Before we found her, bedtime was exhausting. We had to rock our son for 15–30 minutes just to get him down, and even then he'd only sleep 2–3 hours at a stretch. We were both drenched in sweat from all the rocking, and only my wife or I could get him to sleep, even with help at home, no one else could manage it. Divya reassured us that even a 10 week old could be sleep shaped and eventually sleep trained. We followed her guidance, and within just 2 days, our son was sleeping independently in his bassinet. He's now 7 months old, and he has slept independently ever since. We've never had to rock him again. Divya helped us build a solid bedtime routine, and now he wakes up at most once during a 12 hour night, sometimes not at all. Naps have become effortless too. What surprised us most is that better sleep didn't just help nighttime, it transformed his wake windows too. He became more predictable, more active, and more engaged while awake. That gave us the confidence to travel with him, and since then we've taken him to 2 countries, 7 states, and 9 flights, and he's thrived through all of it, even across different time zones, thanks to Divya's guidance on managing sleep while traveling. Without Divya, none of this would have been possible. She gave us our lives back while giving our son the gift of great sleep. If you're a new parent struggling with sleep, don't wait. Reach out to Divya as early as possible. It will make parenting so much easier.

Hi, I’m Sheila. I’m a faith based birth & postpartum doula, photographer, and most importantly, a mom who knows how deeply personal this season of life can be. Becoming a mother myself changed the way I see birth. I remember the emotions, the questions, the vulnerability, and the overwhelming feeling of wanting someone beside you who simply gets it. That experience is what led me to doula work — because I wanted to become the person I wish every mother could have in her corner: someone who listens without judgment, stays calm when things feel overwhelming, helps you understand your options, and reminds you of your strength when you need it most. With over six years of experience working with children and families, professional doula training, continued mentorship, and my own experience as a mom, I bring both knowledge and genuine heart into the room. I’m not there to take over your birth or tell you how it should go — I’m there to learn you, support your wishes, help you feel prepared, and be the steady presence you can lean on. And because I’m also a photographer, I have a special love for capturing the little moments you may not even realize are happening — the first touch, the tears, the tiny details, and the way your family changes in an instant. My packages can also include birth photography, postpartum meal prep, and a postpartum visit, so my support doesn’t simply end when your baby arrives. I want you to feel like you found your person someone you can text, laugh with, cry with, ask the “is this normal?” questions, and feel completely comfortable being yourself around. If you’re looking for someone who will care for you like a person, not just a client, I’d love to meet you. 🤍

My name is Rebecca Garcia and I am thrilled you are seeking out a Doula for your journey. I have a strong energetic pull towards this life changing work, and I am so honored to be pursuing my passion as a birth worker. I love all things birth and feel that my strongest assets are listening, empathy, providing resources and cooking homemade meals for others. I tell all my clients, if there is a birth I am there. With all the stigma and negative depictions in the media surrounding birth, I want to ensure that my clients feel secure in all their decisions without any judgments. This Is Your Body, Your Birth & Only You Get To Make The Decisions That Works Best For You & Your Baby. I have two spirited little ones of my own; ages 4 and 6. I had doulas for both births and feel as though they made my birthing journey undeniably memorable. They feed me, hit pressure points during labor, loved me, educated me and most importantly encouraged me to find my voice and strength. These are the experiences I wish to provide to my future clients. I have experience in homebirths, birth centers & hospital settings. I understand that ones birthing journey is a sacred space, and wish to only support and offer any resources that may help aid in this time. If you are interested or just want to connect and talk anything birth, postpartum or baby please feel free to reach out. Rebecca was very thorough in the education she provided to us as first time parents in the lead up to the birth. There were 4 in depth sessions which were really appreciated and learned tons during. It alleviated some nervousness around giving birth. During the birth, she came over just before the baby was born at the hospital and gave me a massage and really helped advocate for my wishes as predefined in the birth plan (which she helped me develop). After the baby was born, we had a few additional sessions with her. She brought over bone broth, did a baby massage, and really made the day special for me with a tray of yummy treats. Additionally, she did a closing of the bones ceremony. It's really when i realized that in becoming a mom I went through a transition and a change that was more than I really understood pre-birth. I remain super grateful to Rebecca for the wonderful care she provided me during our time together. Thank you for all the training and education prior to the birth and in taking care of me post partum. I wished I had more time with her!

I’m a Certified Newborn Care Specialist with nearly 7 years of childcare experience and a special passion for caring for newborns and infants. Throughout my career, I’ve supported families through both daytime and overnight care, and the newborn stage has always been one of my favorites. I find it amazing to watch babies grow and develop so quickly, from learning their individual cues and personalities to seeing the little milestones they reach along the way. I understand that welcoming a new baby can be both exciting and overwhelming, and I love being able to support parents during this transition. My goal is to provide a calm, loving, and safe environment for their baby while also helping parents feel confident and supported in their new role. I enjoy sharing the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years, while always respecting each family’s preferences and parenting style. Most importantly, I want parents to feel safe, comfortable, and reassured knowing their little one is in caring and experienced hands.

Caroline provided night nanny care for our 2 month old over the course of 3 months. Caroline is an incredibly warm and thoughtful nanny and receptive to feedback. We fully trusted Caroline with the overnight care of our newborn. The only reason we parted ways was because our son began to sleep through an entire night and we felt it unnecessary to have overnight support.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Leticia as our night doula during these first weeks with our newborn. Looking back, I honestly don’t know how we would have gotten through this postpartum journey without her. What really sets Leticia apart is how much she genuinely cares about our baby and our family. We can tell that she takes care of our baby with so much patience, gentleness, and love. She is attentive to his needs and treats him with warmth, care, and professional knowledge. It feels like our baby can always calm down immediately in Leticia’s hands. Knowing that our baby was in such good hands allowed us to truly relax when Leticia was here at night. That peace of mind is something we cannot put a price on. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, calm, reliable, and dependable. Her communication is also exceptional. She is clear and precise, but never cold or clinical. We always felt completely comfortable asking her questions, no matter how small or repetitive they might have seemed. We really appreciate how approachable and generous Leticia has been with her guidance and how willing she is to answer all of our questions. We are so grateful for everything she has done for us and for our baby. Leticia is truly outstanding at what she does, and I cannot recommend her enough. Any new parent would be incredibly fortunate to have her supporting them through those precious, exhausting, and sometimes difficult first weeks with a newborn.

We had such a wonderful experience with the Stork & Sprout North Bay team. From the beginning, Brittany made us feel supported and helped us understand how the team approach worked and what to expect. We also had the opportunity to connect with Juliana, Samantha, and Yohki, and each of them brought something different while still making the care feel consistent and personal. What we appreciated most was knowing we had a whole team behind us rather than feeling like everything depended on one person being available. Everyone was warm, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely respectful of the kind of birth and postpartum experience we wanted. We never felt pressured or judged, and our questions were always taken seriously. Having local doula support here in the North Bay made such a difference for our family. We would absolutely recommend the Stork & Sprout North Bay team to anyone looking for thoughtful, dependable, and compassionate support during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum.
