My whole family is obsessed with Rabsaris. We had the pleasure of having her as our doula a couple years ago for the home birth of my second born, and she was so amazing every step of the way. She is warm, knowledgeable, and hilarious. She’s not afraid to give you the truth, and she’s very straightforward, which I appreciate. Also, her chocolate chip cookies are unmatched. She is a wonderful, honest, genuine person. She has such a passion for supporting pregnant people and their families and it shows in how intentional she is about everything she does. Every prenatal felt like a full childbirth education course. I learned so much during her visits. I still use the calming techniques she taught my husband and me for everyday life with a toddler! At my actual birth, I felt like my sister was taking care of me. I felt so loved and supported. It was like she was reading my mind every step of the way. I can’t even really describe it, but I can’t imagine my birth without her. It was so beautiful to have her there for me, my husband, and my oldest kiddo (who, again, is OBSESSED with her). I could go on, but to keep it short: Rabsaris’ services were worth every single penny and then some. I cannot recommend her enough. Do yourself a favor and hire her as your doula. You won’t regret it!

An Incredibly Positive and Blessed Experience with Abbie! As a first time mom, I cannot speak highly enough about the support and care I received from Abbie. From our very first meeting, it was clear that she was not only knowledgeable and experienced but also deeply compassionate. She took the time to get to know our preferences, answer all of our questions, and make sure we felt comfortable and supported throughout my entire pregnancy journey. She was great with communication and provided us with resources throughout pregnancy for birth prep. When labor came, Abbie was calm, present, and prepared. She gave us reassurance and confidence in our birth plan/decisions throughout, while respecting the space and prioritizing baby's health. She was present throughout all of labor (A LONG TIME) and was able to help me try different positions, offer hands on support and holistic pain relief strategies, prayer, Bible verses, positive affirmations and encouraged me to eat & drink. Her presence made all the difference—I felt empowered and confident knowing she was there advocating for me and my baby. What truly stands out about Abbie is her ability to create a warm, non-judgmental space, no matter what the circumstances, and her shared faith which allowed me to open up and feel comfortable having her at my birth. She was prepared during the labor process and helped my husband and I feel confident. Thanks to her support and expertise, I felt so much more prepared for the challenges of labor and postpartum. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula, and I highly recommend her to anyone. I also want to share that I originally was skeptical of having a doula, but after many prayers I am so grateful we found Abbie and had her support during my unmedicated birth. God is good! Thank you, Abbie, for being such a vital part of our birth story and for helping us bring our baby girl into this world!

I'm Gwynne Knap, CAPPA Certified Postpartum Doula and Lactation Educator serving Atlanta area families since 2009. Postpartum Doula support has been a passion of mine, especially because I did not have any support when my 2 babies arrived. I provide families with emotional, informational and physical support as they begin their parenthood journey. I provide primarily overnight postpartum doula (10pm-6am) services. On occasion, I do provide daytime support… I’ve been a sunrise doula from 6am-12 noon and I’ve been a “witching hour” doula supporting a family through an often challenging part of the day, 4pm-10pm. I like to meet the new parents in their home about 6 weeks prior to the estimated due date. This meeting helps new parents feel a level of comfort with their contracted postpartum doula and it helps me get any questions, out of the way, so that on our first night together, you can head to sleep. I like to arrive at least 20 minutes early to a shift so that we can discuss your feelings and concerns. I like to know how the baby has been before my arrival. I often do my first overnight shift with you, right after you’ve been discharged from the hospital or birth center. We've already decided where caring for your newborn is most appropriate for your needs. Sometimes that place is in the nursery or sometimes that place is in the living room, near the kitchen and laundry. You determine if I am bringing baby to you to nurse at night while I’ll provide real-time lactation support. Or perhaps it makes more sense to feed the baby overnight with pumped milk and/or formula. While baby is settled and sleeping, I will wash/sanitize all pump parts and bottles, I will empty or fill the dishwasher, fold laundry and even make some blueberry muffins or a breakfast casserole. I want you to wake up feeling rested and refreshed and begin your day with a tidy kitchen and breakfast ready to eat.

I’m a Mother of 5 and have been a Birth and Postpartum Doula since 2005. I believe informed, supported families make confident decisions and that emotional safety matters just as much as physical care. My approach is calm, judgment-free, and deeply client-centered. I support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with hands-on education, advocacy, and compassionate emotional support. I’m especially mindful of how past experiences, expectations, and birth trauma can shape the way someone moves through pregnancy and birth, and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I don’t believe there’s one “right” way to give birth. My role is to meet you where you are, help you understand your options, and support you in making decisions that feel aligned with your values. Whether you’re planning a low-intervention birth, navigating medical care, or processing a previous experience, I’m here to walk alongside you. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me staying active in the gym, learning more about holistic health, or soaking up time with my own family.

She was truly a lifesaver for us. We hired her as both our birth doula and postpartum doula, and she consistently went above and beyond. She answered my questions at all hours, day and night, and always provided knowledgeable, thoughtful responses. If she didn’t know an answer, she took the time to research it thoroughly and followed up with well-informed guidance. Her communication was incredibly prompt, which made her extremely reliable. She is also remarkably proactive—I never had to tell her what needed to be done. She continuously looked for ways to help and always thought about how to make our lives easier. We initially planned to hire her for just the first month, but we quickly decided to extend her time with us because of how exceptionally helpful and caring she was with our newborn. She taught us many practical, realistic tips for caring for our baby and was always patient and observant. It was truly a pleasure to work with her, and we are so grateful to have had her support.

Review of Doula: Molly Raynor- long but thorough First to give some background information about myself: I am 38 years old, mother of four, two high risk pregnancies, used Molly for three out of the four births. Note: I do have a great husband who helped me throughout the pregnancy and birthing process but he would even say Molly helped in ways he couldn't enter into nor wanted to- 1st Pregnancy/ Delivery: 2015 I did not used a doula for my first pregnancy/birth because I thought I could handle the pain, the process, the unknowns because I was a student athlete in college; but I was naive and foolish. I did not education myself on the birth process, options available nor any postpartum possibilities. It was an incredibly difficult pregnancy with intense nausea and poor eating and exercise habits. In labor and delivery the baby was stuck on my pelvic bone, it was three hours of pushing, throwing up, and almost ended in a c section but the doctor used a vacuum to pull baby out. Recovery was a long road and the memory of it all felt like a train wreck. 2nd Pregnancy/Delivery: Macon, Ga. 2016 I called Molly right after a positive pregnancy test. This pregnancy was much better because we monitored my diet and exercise so I could handle all the ups and downs of nausea and appropriate weight gain. At 20 weeks this pregnancy turned into high risk as the baby had a spot on her kidneys. Molly helped me navigate the unknowns of going to obgyn and high risk doctors. At 34 weeks baby tried to come and I was sent to the hospital for steroid shot and bed rest, Molly was there with me through this process. Finally at 39 weeks baby girl decided it was time to meet everyone. Molly made the 2 hour drive to Macon, GA from Atlanta, GA to assist me. It was an uneventful birth of 12 hours. I was planning on going natural but the pain caught up with me and I ended up with an epidural and a baby an hour later. Molly comforted me in that I wasn't any less than a mom because I made a change in my birth plan. I had a lot of guilt about this that she helped me shift through. She held me through the epidural and then attended to the baby post birth to make sure all the nurses and doctors followed my birth plan exactly. She became what I found most helpful as my "external thinking brain" because during the pains of labor and post birth highs, I was in my own world; Molly was the one who kept me balanced and helped the staff stay on track to my wishes. 3rd Pregnancy/Delivery: Cartersville, Ga. 2021 Again, called Molly as soon as we knew we were pregnant. This time I knew I wanted an unmedicated birth and expressed that earnestly. Molly quickly and thoroughly got me resources to watch, read, listen to so I could prepare my body and mind. She would send me videos, I would put in the mental and physical effort to obtain my goal. This pregnancy went by fast, maybe with other two kids in full swing of life. But found myself at 38 weeks with contractions every 20 minutes apart and headed to see my midwife. She confirmed I was in active labor and sent us to the hospital. Molly kept my labor from stalling by using different techniques: birthing ball, walking halls with me, rubbing backing during contractions and many other options. With my water breaking, I quickly went from 8cm to 10cm to pushing. Molly worked with my midwife to think through different pushing positions to help baby. Finally after 30 mins of pushing, I held my baby. Molly again took over watching baby and making sure what I wanted on my birth plan was followed, nothing more, nothing less. Fourth pregnancy/delivery: Rome, GA. 2025 This was my hardest pregnancy, maybe due to age, the unexpected positive pregnancy because of a blood clotting disorder and the fact of older kids and their activities. Again, I saw a high risk doctor and an OB. We planned for another unmedicated birth by watching videos, listening to audio books, and walking through all the details we could forsee and control. With a more serious situation of my blood clotting we walked more thoroughly through c section possibly, my wants, my goals, the medicine I can and can't have and the NICU possibilities. I started having consisent contractions at 36 weeks and went on bed rest. These contractions stayed and made rush to the hospital a few times. Finally at 39 weeks 4 days, my water broke and was 5cm. Molly and I did everything we could to progress labor with many different stretches, poses, walking, miles circuit, and yet after 18 hours, I hadn't progressed any but was exhausted from the intense but irregular contractions. My gut told me baby was stuck on my pelvic bone and I couldn't keep going without an epidural. With a long conversation with Molly and the labor and delivery nurse, I knew it was what was best for me. Molly held me again during the epidural and they positioned me so baby would descend and within an hour I was pushing. Molly and the labor and delivery nurse worked together to put me in the best pushing positions. Again, post birth, Molly instantly attended and followed the baby around. Molly helped me a lot post partum this pregnancy as the baby blues were very strong and overwhelming. I could call and talk with her anytime. She encouraged me of the good things, listened to me express my sadness of not being pregnant and just helped me navigate waters that I thought I could cross by myself. Personal aspect: Molly not only became a source of strength for me each pregnancy but a comfort that she would advocate for me and my baby. Having her by my side gave me confidence to approach the unknown and yet allowed us to control the controlables. I can't recommend her enough, she knew when to be serious, when to make me laugh, when to be firm with me and the hospital staff, and when to let things be. Note other things she did worth mentioning: Came to my OB appointments to meet my midwife and doctors. Toured all three different hospitals with me to know where and how to get to labor and delivery. Made a hospital labor and post delivery snack bag. Made texting groups for family and friends to keep them posted on labor and delivery. Handed out copies of my birth plan to labor and delivery staff. Helped me with postpartum blues. Helped me with breastfeeding techniques and proper latch. Gave me a post partum visit each pregnancy to check on me and baby.

Review for Candice Thomas, Doula Working with Candice Thomas was nothing short of a blessing for our family. As a grandmother, I came into this journey wanting to be supportive without overstepping, present without overwhelming, and helpful in ways that truly served my daughter during one of the most transformative moments of her life. Candice coached me with grace, intention, and clarity—and because of her, I showed up exactly how my daughter needed me to. Candice has a rare gift. She doesn’t just prepare the mother—she prepares the village. Through her guidance, I learned how to be emotionally grounded, how to read the room, how to support rather than direct, and how to hold space with love and confidence. She reminded me that birth is not about control, but about trust, patience, and presence. What stood out most was Candice’s ability to empower without judgment. She honored my role as a grandmother while helping me understand the modern birth experience and my daughter’s unique needs. Her coaching helped strengthen our bond during this season and allowed my daughter to feel supported, protected, and deeply understood. To fellow parents and grandparents: The greatest insight Candice shared—both spoken and unspoken—is that support during birth is not about what you know, but about how well you listen. Candice teaches you how to be calm, informed, and intentional so that the birthing mother feels safe and confident. If you want to truly show up for your child or loved one during birth, Candice Thomas is the guide you want by your side. I am forever grateful for her wisdom, her patience, and her heart. Because of Candice, I didn’t just witness the birth of my grandchild—I became a better support system for my daughter. — A grateful GiGi
