I immediately entered the medical field and found myself as an Obstetric and Perinatal Palliative Care Social Worker. I loved that job and realized that birth work is my heart work. I was able to help countless families through their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. My shift from inpatient medical social work to birth doula has allowed me to be more present with my family and still use my clinical skills. I am calm, patient, mindful, flexible, and trauma-informed. I have a special interest in perinatal mental health and helping individuals find joy and healing through their life transitions.
