Heather is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Certified Educator in Infant Massage (CEIM) with over a decade of experience supporting families. Since 2012, she has helped thousands of parents and babies navigate breastfeeding and feeding challenges, offering both in-person and virtual care across San Diego and beyond. Her practice is family-focused, tailoring care plans to each family’s unique goals rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions. I can not recommend Heather enough. She helped me through one of my most vulnerable times and became a key player in my breastfeeding success. Heather accurately identified tongue, lip, and cheek ties in my daughter and helped shed light on why we had been having feeding issues. She supported us through our decision to get her ties revised and helped us navigate her recovery. Heather is an expert in her field and continues to be a main source of support with my breastfeeding journey. I am so happy we found Heather and would recommend her whole heartedly to anyone who finds themselves overwhelmed or struggling with breastfeeding.

I am beyond grateful for the incredible support and guidance I received from Dana in the early days of my breastfeeding journey. Right after birth, we faced several challenges—including low milk production, latch difficulties, my baby’s slow weight gain, and eventually a diagnosis of cow’s milk protein intolerance. Through it all, Dana met us with patience, encouragement, and genuine compassion. She not only offered practical solutions and expert knowledge, but also created a space where I felt heard and supported during a vulnerable and emotional time. Her presence helped me build the confidence I needed to keep going, even when it all felt incredibly overwhelming. Now, nearly 10 months later, I’m so proud to say we are still breastfeeding—and thriving. The benefits to both me and my baby have been remarkable: a deep bond, strong immunity for my little one, and significant cost savings (especially considering how expensive hypoallergenic formulas are!). I truly believe we wouldn’t be where we are today without Dana’s dedication and support.

Breastfeeding Savvy (BFS) is a breastfeeding clinic, emulating a homelike setting, located at 58 Clifton Country Road, Clifton Park, NY, 12065, Suite 106. Our breastfeeding clinic was created to support the postpartum period and optimize the breastfeeding/ pumping dyads journey. Our mission is to provide empathetic and evidenced based support to families in the community. To ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of both the breastfeeding/pumping patients as well as the safety of the neonate. We follow AAP guidelines as well as ABM protocols. We believe it is essential to provide breastfeeding/pumping education and support to the entire family (partners, siblings, grandparents etc.) to ensure the most enjoyable and safe feeding journey obtainable. We devise an individual feeding plan based on a mothers breastfeeding goal, while making priority that this goal is safe and conducive to infants physiological and psychological development. We work closely with other health care professionals such as fellow lactation consultants, nurse practitioners, family practitioners, pediatricians, midwives, obstetricians and pediatric dentists to ensure optimal outcomes. We offer the postpartum community a safe haven for breastfeeding/chest feeding mothers to gather and connect with one another via support groups, individual consults and virtual consults. We also offer breastfeeding classes antenatally as well as CPR classes.

I have a masters degree in pediatric nursing and I’m an internationally board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). My career started 10 years ago in inpatient pediatrics and the neonatal ICU. I then moved to a pediatric outpatient clinic due to a desire to focus on preventative medicine and patient education. When I had my own struggle breastfeeding my daughter it drove me to focus my career on lactation. I have personally experienced triple feeding, bottle refusal, oral function concerns, maintaining supply while working and breastfeeding in toddlerhood. I have a passion for helping moms understand how their babies developmental milestones influence their breastfeeding experience. I pride myself on providing education rooted in evidence based research. Becoming a mom changed my life so profoundly that now motherhood and breastfeeding are my favorite things to get to talk to other women about.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brooke and the incredible support she provided throughout my breastfeeding journey. From the very beginning, Brooke was a calm and reassuring presence during the early, often overwhelming, stages of breastfeeding. Her gentle approach and deep knowledge immediately put me at ease, and she helped me build both confidence and trust in the process. What truly stood out was Brooke’s exceptional communication—she explained everything clearly and thoroughly, always taking the time to answer my questions with patience and kindness. I never felt rushed, and she consistently made sure I felt supported and heard. As my journey evolved and I transitioned to exclusively pumping, Brooke remained an invaluable resource. Her expertise extended far beyond the basics—she guided me through the challenges of pumping with practical tips, emotional support, and a deep understanding of how to make the experience sustainable and positive. Thanks to Brooke, I felt empowered and informed every step of the way. She genuinely cares about the families she works with, and it shows in everything she does. I am beyond grateful for her guidance and could not have asked for a better lactation consultant. Highly, highly recommend!

I came to liz to seek lactation support. My 2 month old was struggling at nursing, getting very rigid and stiff with colic and eventually was only able to nurse in one position. She helped me get to the root cause of my babies struggles which ended up being a tongue tie. She referred me to great providers to help with this process. I followed up with her after to help my little one retrain his tongue and making sure latching continued to go well.
