I am extremely passionate about helping women to be prepared for childbirth. I am especially concerned with their mental health and taking the necessary steps to be fully prepared for labor, birth, and postpartum. Because of this, I am currently working towards becoming a biblical counselor. I have naturally birthed 6 babies in US hospitals without any medical intervention so I understand firsthand what my clients need and are experiencing. I believe that all women deserve someone to encourage, support, and guide them through childbirth, and find it a privilege to serve mothers in this capacity.

I feel honored to be able to share my expertise with women and families around Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. As a doula, I approach each birth with empathy, understanding, and a commitment to providing personalized support. I am committed to providing education & services to those who face disparities-those who are at an increased risk for complications and or death during childbirth. As a young nurse, I became fascinated with pregnant women and newborns and was quickly drawn to women's healthcare. As a mother of three and a practicing OB/GYN nurse has led me to becoming a doula. I became a doula because I’m passionate about supporting individuals during the transformative journey of childbirth. It’s gratifying to offer guidance, comfort, and encouragement during such a significant and profound moment in people’s lives.

My name is Taryn Morris. I'm a certified birth and postpartum doula. I am from Tampa, Florida and relocated to Georgia in 2019. I felt lead to change my career path during the pandemic and I have truly found my niche in supporting expecting families. As a kid I was always fascinated by the show on TLC called, 'A Baby Story' . I was surley grossed out but yet in awe of the strength those mothers had! So becoming a birth worker was a full circle moment for me. I'm elated to be in such a sacred and trusting space to advocate, educate, provide emotional and physical support so that expecting mothers can have their baby with confidance. As a mother myself I understand the importance of needing additional support during such a vulnerable time. I enjoy making candles, breast-milk soap bars, spending time with my family, traveling, coffee shop runs, and lastly all things relating to self-care because I owe that to myself to show up and show out for my clients.
