Hello! My name is Racquel. I am an advocate to my core. I have always been passionate about advocacy and support. It is my belief that we can all make better decisions when armed with the right information. We have choices in everything we do. I feel that when we make decisions from a place of being informed we feel better about the choices we make. My background is in education, counseling and advocacy. My journey to birth work began after the birth of my son and subsequent pregnancy losses. Through these experiences I was able to see the importance and need of birth workers to support families. Pregnancy, child birth and pregnancy loss are sacred times and can also be scary. It is my goal to help ease the fear and focus more the on the sacredness of this time. All women deserve support regardless of their journey; whether that is pregnancy, miscarriage, still birth, abortion, birth and postpartum.

I am a birth and postpartum doula serving all types of families and birthing people in the Charlotte area. A deeply held belief in intersectionality guided my path to this line of service. As a Black, queer, childless woman, I want to give others the encouragement to advocate for themselves and have the birthing and postpartum experience they dream of. Birth equity is only achievable when the entire person is acknowledged, including their experiences within the racial and social areas of healthcare. Outside of doula work, I recently received an MS in human nutrition. I also offer 1-on-1 wellness guidance sessions where we focus on designing the path to your nutrition goals. I’m currently a ProDoula Certified Labor Doula (CD-L) + A Dona International Certified Doula (CD). I am also a Certified Fertility Doula (CFD), Reproductive Health Specialist (RHS), Postpartum Doula (PPD), Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), and Infant Feeding Specialist (IFS). I know it’s a mouthful but it was all totally worth it. ​ I support unmedicated and medicated births and believe they are both outstandingly beautiful. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ+ families. I am obsessed with multiples as a result of my younger twin siblings, Claire and Cooper. Thankfully, my obsession has led me to experience some amazing twin and triplet births (vaginal and cesarean). I also fully support and love those who birth their babies from their bellies. I now offer planned cesarean support as well! ​ I have been trained in a variety of comfort measure techniques including, rebozo, acupressure, massage, guided meditation, and aromatherapy. I am a certified Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula. Additionally, I have significant experience with clients using other forms of Hypnosis for birth. ​ I have a fierce desire to help clients who struggle with walking a unique fertility path. As the first Fertility Doula in Charlotte, NC, I know just how much support surrounding fertility complications and infertility is needed in our community. I have recently started organizing a collective of doulas committed to offering support to families and individuals undergoing any fertility assistance. Fertility work has led me to find passion in also supporting families with surrogates and those going through surrogacy. ​ Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding, pumping, supplementing, and formula feeding are all journeys that I’m in full support of and have significant experience with as well. My name is Rachel Campbell. I'm a 30-something wife and mama to two crazy kiddos and one dog. I have been immersed in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum world since 2017 and had two amazing doula-attended births of my own. I decided to take the plunge into doula work in 2021. I completed my CAPPA training in November of 2021 and I'm working toward my official certification. I've seen firsthand what it's like to have long and difficult labors, challenging physical and/or emotional recoveries in the postpartum period, and just about every breastfeeding struggle in the book. It is my hope that the skills I've learned in finding good help and working to identify solutions that aid both Mama AND Baby in equal measure can help other families.

I love helping others and am truly passionate about contributing to the greater good with small acts of kindness every day. My heart is in this work. In high school I learned how much I loved working with kids and their families. When I received consistent praise for my abilities, I committed to nannying for a livelihood. Nineteen years and many episodes of "One Born Every Minute," "A Baby Story," and "Maternity Ward" later, I am pursuing something that has been on my mind since childhood. Through my own therapeutic work and reproductive journey, I knew I had much more to offer than just childcare. I have always been fascinated by the human body and its capabilities during conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Newborn and child development have always been at the forefront of my mind and something I love witnessing as a nanny and aunt. I have been a lifelong learner in these topics. I also love encouraging birthing folx to be empowered and confident in their choices and experiences instead of feeling embarrassment, shame, inferiority, or fear.
