Lindsay Scott, Certified Doula Lindsay is a Colorado native and lives in Aurora with her husband and three children. Lindsay has always been interested in pregnancy, birth and postpartum. After she had her children, she realized there is a definite need for Doula support, knowledge and advocacy, so she changed her career path and trained to become a certified Doula and now attends and supports births. Lindsay also works with a local non-profit organization offering on-call Doula support to a local hospital where she attends and supports one to two births per month. Helping birthing people is truly her passion and love. Continuing education is very important to Lindsay. She is constantly learning new techniques so she can best serve and support her clients. Beside being knowledgeable in pregnancy, birth and postpartum, Lindsay can also assist with cloth diapering, wash routines and other zero waste options for babies. Hello! I stumbled headfirst into the birth world through a non birth related podcast. After hearing the host’s birth story I was awestruck. I needed to know more. The more I learned, the more I felt called to this work. I firmly believe that everyone has the right to reproductive justice, to birth the way they want to, and to be able to define their birth experience their way. Choosing your birth team is one of the most important choices you can make during your pregnancy. I completed my formal birth doula training with Childbirth International in 2024 but have been practicing since early 2023. What sets me apart is my background as an engineer. This background when combined with my birth doula training gives me the unique ability to take in information (the cues you are giving, your words and actions, your progression, your outlook on the situation, and the care providers words and actions) and move forward with a plan for the next few moments, and then reassess and move forward once again.

Now on to why you’re here! After the birth of our first child, I realized there were some big gaps in the childbirth classes that we took. Before we became pregnant again, I was researching what we had missed and awoke a passion for childbirth and maternal care that has only deepened over the years. After our three kids were born, I became a Childbirth Educator in 2017 and a Birth Doula in 2018. I also delivered two babies as a gestational surrogate in 2019 and 2021.
