As a certified birth doula, I'm passionate about supporting families through the incredible journey of childbirth. Being bilingual in Spanish and English allows me to connect with a diverse range of clients, ensuring everyone feels understood and supported. As a Latina Mexican American, I’m deeply committed to reproductive justice and making sure that every birthing person, regardless of gender, feels safe and respected. My goal is to provide inclusive care that honors each person’s unique experience. When I’m not working, I’m a full-time mom who loves to volunteer and give back to the community. I’m Em - mama of many, wife to my best friend and new homestead-er. I created my photography business in 2018 not knowing exactly what I wanted to capture, I just knew I wanted to help those in my community save their memories for a lifetime. Fast forward to 2021, I attended my first birth, a sweet home birth. After that I know that birth work was exactly what I was looking for - it has become my passion. In winter of 2022 I got my doula certification to serve local mamas during their pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Now, today in 2024 I have served over 19 mamas and counting and have been published for my birth photography workin a magazine and I have won awards on my work. I enrolled at MCU as a student midwife in 2023 with the intentions to graduate with a bachelors of science in midwifery in 2027. I am currently serving those in the Johnstown, OH + surrounding area.

Hello, I’m Mandee! I am a Christian Doula, trained through A Woman Who Serves LLC. The name "Mandee" translates to “she must be loved” or “worthy of love,” which inspired the title of my doula practice: She Must Be Loved Doula Services. I firmly believe that every mother deserves to feel cherished throughout her journey into motherhood, from preparation to the birthing experience and beyond. While I value the moments spent with newborns, my primary focus is on supporting and uplifting mothers. Although I am new to the role of a doula and have yet to serve my first client—aside from providing phone support to friends—I bring valuable insights derived from my doula training, and also my personal experiences as a mother of three daughters. My first daughter was born in London, England; my second in Boston, Massachusetts; and my third in Dublin, Ohio. Throughout this journey, I have been fortunate to receive prenatal midwifery care, with my first daughter delivered by midwives and continued midwifery support for my subsequent children. The knowledge I gained from this experience was invaluable. Unfortunately, my exceptional midwife could not attend the birth of my second daughter, and I was cared for by an OBGYN. This experience taught me the vital importance of love and compassion during childbirth. Despite feeling mistreated by the OBGYN in Boston, I recognize my inherent worthiness of love and compassion, which I strive to extend to others. By God's grace, I have three healthy daughters. My third daughter was also delivered with the assistance of an OBGYN here in Ohio, and that experience was notably more positive because I found my voice, and my husband and I became strong advocates for my needs and desires. I have learned immensely from my birthing experiences, both abroad and in the United States. I am dedicated to ensuring that other women have the best possible birthing experience. A mother must feel loved to foster a positive and empowering environment. The four pillars of doula support include physical support, emotional support, informational support, and advocacy. Additionally, I aspire to introduce a fifth pillar that holds special significance for me: spiritual support. I will earnestly pray for you, your baby, your family, and your birth experience throughout this transformative journey and beyond. God Bless, Mandee Rohn *Please be aware that the Christian certification I received does not qualify for insurance coverage.

Adding a new baby to your home, whether it was through naturally conceiving, through fertility treatments, surrogacy or adoption, is a life-changing moment and you need support. My team and I can help! You don’t have to start your journey alone! My name is Mary and I am a CAPPA certified postpartum doula with additional training in perinatal nutrition. I was introduced to this amazing work over 20 years ago and realized my true calling is supporting and empowering families during their postpartum transition. I love the outdoors; my hobbies include hiking, kayaking and camping and I am an avid animal lover. I am also a music and trivia nerd. I am a mom and stepmom to five amazing (adult) children and I look forward to the opportunity of serving your family. As postpartum doulas, my team is here to support and guide you as your family explores this new terrain, commonly referred to as the fourth trimester. This term, coined by Dr. Harvey Karp, denotes the 3 months following your baby’s birth and is a time of great physical and emotional change as your baby(ies) adjusts to life outside the womb. It is also the transition period that families undergo as they adjust to life with a new baby. My team takes pride in providing you space to rest, recover, and bond with your new bundle(s) of joy while providing newborn care and tackling household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, dishes etc. I offer non-judgemental, evidence-based support for you and your family as we believe parenthood looks different for every family. Our goals are to instill confidence in your decisions and empower you and your family as you navigate your way through the fourth trimester. Every family deserves care that is evidence-based, emotionally safe and inclusive regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or ability. I am absolutely honored to have the pleasure to serve Dayton, Cincinnati and the surrounding communities.

After working in the nutrition space as a private practice dietitian for several years, I started to realize how much the conventional recommendations leave us hanging when it some to fertility, prenatal, and postpartum nutrition. This is arguably the time in life when nutrition matters most but few providers talk much about nutrition at all. At most, you may received a handout on what foods to avoid. But that leaves you not knowing what to actually eat. Because our current recommendations on prenatal nutrition are lacking, I went head first into the literature to learn more about this topic. Unfortunately, it’s not one we learned much about in my nutrition classes! I realized I loved working with this population and wanted to help women and couples on their journey to having a healthy baby. In addition to pregnancy related nutrition, I also specialize in eating disorders so I want to make food non stressful and pleasurable again. Food shouldn’t be a chore. Food is not just fuel, it is our way to show love, to connect with others, to change our quality of life, and to impact the future health of our children (and even grandchildren). I am passionate about helping people sift through the plethora of nutrition information that can be found on the internet to refocus on what is most specific to them and their circumstance. I strive to continually learn and better my practice in order to bring the best advice possible to my clients.
