Hi, I’m Evelyn, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and DONA certified birth doula who is passionate about helping families feel confident, informed, and supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. My work began with lactation support, where I discovered how much families benefit from having someone in their corner who listens without judgment and helps them understand their options. I have an immense love for the tiny humans of our world! It's the little scrunch of a newborn waking up, the babbling conversations, or the discovery of their fingers and toes. This stage of life is so precious that most parents miss a good portion of it because you are overwhelmed with the ins and outs of life. Once you spot those precious moments, the whole day reorganizes itself around them. Those are the kinds of things I teach, and it comes from being a preschool teacher prior to becoming a postpartum doula. Professionally, child development is where I come from. My role is not something I've picked up in a weekend workshop, but through years of experience and training. As your support system, I come in to engage with some of the following: take the night shift or the morning one, get you real sleep, help with feedings, put the kitchen back together, organize the baby's things, and help your older child figure out who they are now. What I don't do is judge how you feed your baby, tell you the "right" way to do anything, or leave you dependent on me. My postpartum doula practice operates in the Chicagoland area. You will receive help navigating the fourth trimester to build your confidence and ensure your baby's environment & developmental journey are actively fostering their cognitive, motor, and sensory skills from day one.

As a mother of three and a stay-at-home mom for the past 26 years, I have dedicated my life to caring for and supporting families through every stage of motherhood. My personal experience, combined with my doula training and medical knowledge, has given me the skills to provide compassionate, informed, and calming support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. As a mentor to young mothers, I have enjoyed encouraging, listening to, and walking alongside women as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood. Hi! I'm Kristen. I am a graduate of Chamberlain University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My nursing degree has taken me down a path I was destined to be on. I always knew I wanted to work with mothers and babies, and after graduation, I began working as a private nurse for postpartum families. I would be their support system during their personal postpartum journey while educating their entire family on how to navigate the new territory of bringing their baby (or babies!) home. It was during this time I learned how motherhood is such a beautiful experience, yet also one of the most difficult without the proper support system. I began to specialize in infant sleep and obtained my Pediatric Sleep Consultant certification through the Family Sleep Institute. I have worked with countless families in Chicago, as well as virtually, to help them find the rest their whole family needs in a way that works for them. I had a baby of my own last year, and being a mother myself has brought even more empathy and compassion into my work.
