I am a Doula, Usui Holy Fire® II Reiki Practitioner, and a Certifying Reflexologist with a background as a Personal Support Worker, and Business Administrative Graduate from Loyalist College. I have a true passion for supporting others in any way I can with empathy, love, and care. 6 years ago, a little boy came into my life in a way I did not expect. I had very little support, nobody took the time to be there and educate me properly despite my efforts to ask questions about labour and birth. I really felt alone in the experience… When the time came to give birth the OBGYN I had was in the hospital long enough to break my water and then was “off for the night”. I ended up with some complete stranger, who was rude, yelled at me, and impatient. He didn’t listen to me, and made me feel very uncomfortable! My son ended up coming out very quickly due to receiving an unnecessary episiotomy (I found this out at my 6 week post birth checkup). This resulted in my son not having mucus squeezed out of his lungs and having issues breathing on his own, he had low APGAR scores and was rushed to the NICU with very little communication from the nurses or the doctor while they stitched me up. The pain I had been feeling escalated as I had no baby, no support and a doctor who had no regards for me as a human… He would get frustrated with me every time I flinched involuntarily and tell me to relax while he stitched me up- he did not believe I could feel it. My epidural had failed with my son. I felt everything. The next couple of days in the hospital were a blur.. I felt a little helpless as I dealt with being sore… nobody had the time to show me how to breastfeed (which failed in epic proportions)… nothing was going right. I had all these plans while pregnant… and none of them were working out, nothing I hoped for was happening. This was the start of postpartum depression With my youngest, I knew better and had learned so much along the way from my personal experience. I was wiser, I knew what to ask and how to advocate. I have an incredible drive to be there for others, this is such a crucial time in your life. Nobody should have to feel alone. This is why I have also become an Evidence Based Birth Professional Member. All I needed was support. This is my why. I want to support YOU, no matter the way you need. I want to be there, educate, and help you through it all 🧡 Labour, Birth, and Postpartum.

Joefin Peter

13 years of experience

Hey, my name is Joefin (a.k.a. 10oclockjoefi). I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, and a certified sexual health educator. I provide education and support in Tamil and English! I have been doing this for 13 years, typically supporting first-time birthing people, racialized or immigrant families, or survivors. I like to describe my role as being there for your head and heart. While pregnant, I help you prepare for life as a parent, work with you to approach birth with confidence, and empower your support system to help you through the moment. Labour should be a purposeful yet manageable experience for you. One where you have control over the moment. After birth, I provide practical, informational, emotional, and social support. If you’re looking for a reliable cheerleader in your corner, I’m the childbirth educator or postpartum doula for you. I am a third culture kid who grew up in the United Arab Emirates and Canada so I have a special place in my heart for anyone who shares in the diaspora experience. I know firsthand the unique challenges this poses in major life transitions. I trained in Chennai, India with an OBGYN in providing pregnancy and postpartum support to parents in a culturally aware manner. I came back to Canada with that knowledge, learned about the Canadian labour/delivery system, and began supporting immigrant and refugee families through childbirth education and health systems navigation. This has shaped my practical approach to parental support and newborn care. Drawing from my biology and psychology education, I bring a matter-of-fact yet empathetic approach to everything I do. I conducted research on how intersectional identities impact sexual distress and my paper has been published in the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality! Given my areas of expertise, I have a passion for myth busting and science communication as a means to combat misinformation. This often empowers parents to make informed decisions while avoiding unnecessary pressures. My lived experiences make me passionate about supporting parents as they create happier, healthier, and safer childhoods for their babies.

On top of that, the advice and insights she shared were incredibly valuable. If you have the chance to work with Joefin, take it!

I've had the opportunity to see Keegan support families across several different contexts over the years, and it's hard to overstate how naturally they inhabit that role. Their way of caring for others is calm, attuned, and humble. Keegan brings a steadiness that shows up long before a baby arrives. They have a remarkable ability to sense what kind of support is most needed in a specific moment. This could be helping you settle into your breath, easing practical tasks around the home, or creating an atmosphere of grounded confidence for the family. Keegan's attention is both focused and expansive. They are deeply attuned to the person they are supporting, while also staying aware of everyone who is part of the experience - partners, grandparents, friends, or chosen family. They include others in ways that feel natural and respectful, helping each person feel useful, supported, and connected. What stands out most is the depth of Keegan's presence. They meet you with quiet reverence, responding to joy, exhaustion, uncertainty, and even moments of grief with composure and genuine care. Their sensitivity creates space for whatever unfolds, without losing warmth or steadiness. Those moving through pregnancy and the loved ones surrounding them will experience Keegan as a grounded, perceptive, and wholeheartedly present support. They will discover someone who truly delights in being of service - capable, steady, and deeply attuned to the needs of the moment.

Bohdana Korzhan

8 years of experience

Hello, my name is Bohdana (she/her), and I became a Doula because being in a supportive role, sympathetically and empathetically meeting you where you are at in your journey, is something I am both proficient and passionate about. I will be by your side as you bring your baby into the world whether at a hospital, birthing center, or in the comfort of your own home. Once baby is born, I will continue to provide you with educational support as well as encouragement and emotional support as you become acquainted with your baby. I will support your infant feeding journey (breastfeeding or otherwise) and offer household organizational support. I have time to get to know YOU, not just your birth preferences. I have time to provide you with as much support as you need throughout your entire journey. I genuinely love supporting others and being an empath means this role comes naturally to me. After birth, both parent(s) and baby need a lot of support. I can do overnight but also daytime 8-hour shifts to help care for baby so that you can get some rest, or on a consultation basis – an informative session on infant care, breastfeeding techniques and restorative care for the parent who gave birth. I feel blessed that as a doula, I am part of such a beautiful moment and environment called birth, where I am able to help enable mothers to help believe in themselves that they strong, beautiful and powerful. Making moms feel loved, supported, cared for, and special during their labours and births is so rewarding. My first languages are Ukrainian and English, but I can also support you in conversational Russian and basic German!

Working with Doula Bohdana was an incredible experience. Her support during our birthing journey was invaluable, making the entire process amazing. Beyond the delivery, she continued to be a pillar of assistance during postpartum appointments. Bohdana provided valuable insights on proper baby feeding and ensured we found moments to rest and recover after giving birth. Highly recommend her for her expertise and genuine care.

Emily Beauchamp

In 2017, I founded Growing Together Doula Services with a commitment to ensuring families in my community feel supported, heard, and empowered throughout their perinatal journeys. Now serving families across Muskoka, I offer holistic, trauma-aware support through fertility, pregnancy, loss, abortion, adoption or surrogacy, birth, and postpartum. My philosophy is simple: every journey is unique. I provide personalized, non-judgmental care rooted in trust, informed choice, and relationship-building — creating a space where you can feel confident, encouraged, and fully supported every step of the way.

There are no words to describe the unbelievable value and knowledge that Emily brought through my entire pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I always knew I wanted to have a doula especially at birth, but I didn’t realize the important role Emily would play. She educates you throughout pregnancy and provides you with a range of resources. You learn about what is happening during your body at the time as well as birth itself and your choices during labour. My birth was not the way I had imagined it would go. But having the knowledge and being able to advocate for myself in what I wanted at the time allowed me to have an empowering birth no matter the outcome. Emily was the one who made sure we knew our choices every step of the way. I had never felt so prepared or confident for what I was predicting to be a HUGE challenge. Having a doula is literally like having a passionate best friend, who you can count on at any time and who is a constant wealth of knowledge! Emily especially, is a warm, positive, compassionate and unbelievably supportive human. She makes you feel comfortable in your most vulnerable moments. My husband really enjoyed working with her and the encouragement of labour techniques that they tag teamed during labour. He kept saying, “I couldn’t have done it without Emily”, as she was there the entire longggg labour. Another amazing benefit Emily has provided us with is that after birth she will answer any phone call or text with questions, which is so appreciated when you're sleep deprived and have no clue how to care for a new baby. She is especially knowledgeable with breastfeeding, helping our baby get the perfect latch! I hope we are able to conceive again one day and have Emily with us every step of the way! She truly is the positive light everyone should have during the most vulnerable times!

I’m a birth professional based in Oshawa, ON, with a passion for supporting the whole person and their family through every part of the perinatal journey: emotionally, physically, and mentally. This allows me to walk with clients through each chapter of their experience in a deeply personal and connected way. Whether you’re preparing for birth, exploring fertility, or finding your rhythm in postpartum, I’m here to offer presence, warmth, and evidence-based support that meets you where you are. Welcome! I’m Jessica Rogers. I am a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Certified Lactation Counselor with a deep passion for supporting families through one of the most powerful journeys of their lives: pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I was trained through DONA International and am actively working towards birth and postpartum certification. I was certified as a lactation counselor by the ALPP after completing the Center for Breastfeeding course and passing the exam. My own experience becoming a mother ignited this calling in me, and it grew even stronger during my second pregnancy. This season can be transformative, overwhelming and beautiful all at once, and you do not have to go through it alone. As your doula, I will be a dedicated and compassionate support system, someone who not only respects you but also walks beside you like a trusted friend throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. I bring a calm presence, a good sense of humor, and a listening ear when you need it most. I am a hard worker who believes in your strength and am here to support you and your family every step of the way. When I am not supporting families, you can find me spending time with my amazing husband, children, family and friends, exercising, reading, meal prepping or gardening. I also happen to love spiders and have a new hobby that includes two jumping spiders and a tarantula - weird, maybe, but I love them and have always had a soft spot for exotic pets (and nature in general). I also have a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design from RIT, and spent the previous ~12 years working in the field until the birth of my second baby. I love seeing women empowered through this incredible experience and I would be honored to be a part of your team. I serve the Rochester, NY area hospitals and provide postpartum support to those within 25 minutes from my home in Hilton, NY. I truly look forward to working with you!

I am so so happy I chose to use Jessica to support this pregnancy and birth. Compared to my first birth, this second birth experience was night and day and I would 100% recommend her and use her again. Jessica took the time to listen to my previous birth experience, learn my fears and encouraged me that this time could and would be different and could even be enjoyable. She checked in, sent encouragement and passed along tactics to practice ahead of labor, and truly felt like a caring friend. During the labor, Jessica was so helpful in keeping me in control and as relaxed as possible using breathing techniques, touch, essential oils and encouragement, adapting easily to what we felt my body needed. She was also fun! We were all laughing and working together to make for a genuinely enjoyable experience, even when it got super intense. Having someone who is knowledgeable about what is happening and how to alleviate, distract but also welcome and encourage the progress is such a game changer. I genuinely felt empowered during and after my birth and am so happy that this birth doesn't carry the same trauma as my first which I accredit to Jessica. I highly recommend Jessica, I have no regrets and I don't think you will either. Thank you so much, Jessica, it was so fun to share this experience with you!

We had a wonderful experience with our night doula, Jenny. She was very knowledgeable, experienced, and caring throughout our time with her. As first-time parents, having her support with our newborn gave us so much confidence and peace of mind. Jenny was attentive to our baby’s needs, and offered us many practical advice. Her calm and reassuring presence made a huge difference during those early weeks. We are very grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to any family looking for skilled and dependable newborn support.

Boboto Care matched me with an excellent doolah, Amanda, who provided me with excellent post partum care. Not only was she incredibly caring and professional, she was also great company. Communication was prompt and efficient, and scheduling was easy and flexible when I needed to adjust due to an unforseen c section. I highly recommend!
