I'm a Christian DONA International doula, serving families in the SW Ohio area. I am a mother of five children, I have had home births, natural hospital birth, and medicated births. I have also assisted as a doula at homebirths. I have spent years collecting information and resources regarding birth, nutrition, and how best to support healing after birth. I have amassed a wealth of knowledge but I am constantly learning and love to guide other women to information so they can make the best decisions possible for their family. I have a license and Masters in Social Work and prior to becoming a doula, I spent 14 years working as a social worker in the community. While I loved getting to know and work with families, my passion lies in helping and supporting women and families in all stages of pregnancy and early parenthood. After having four unique births of my own, ranging from a hospital induction to a home birth, I realized there is a lack of continuous support for women in our society specifically related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum periods. My prior experience includes work in the field of early intervention and the public school system before settling into my own private practice. I spent many years specializing in autism and worked alongside board certified behavior analysts (BCBA) daily. This provided me with extensive knowledge in the principals of applied behavioral analysis.
