During that time, I was responsible for maintaining feeding schedules, diapering, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for infants as young as five weeks old. I often worked independently with 3–5 babies at a time, ensuring each child received personalized care and attention. Parents appreciated the structure and comfort I provided, often requesting weekend care because their babies responded so well to my routine. I followed all daycare regulations carefully and always maintained a professional, warm, and supportive approach—treating families like my own while upholding the highest standards of care. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve cared for newborns and young children in a personal capacity for over 20 years, including family and close friends. My personal journey through motherhood sparked a deep passion for supporting other women in the sacred and often overwhelming postpartum period.

I am a 20 year old college student will be graduating with a bachelors degree in business administration with a concentration in business studies. I enjoy swimming coloring and drawing even though, I am not the best at drawing. I enjoy learning about different cultures. I have worked as a server cashier and worked for Truist bank. I enjoy being with kids and helping out in any way I can because I do know how hard and unexpected life can be.

I'm Kathleen. I am passionate about all things pregnancy, birth and postpartum. My desire is to be and help create "a village" of support for new moms. Sometimes this is physically helping out families in the home, or it may also be taking your call to answer one of the thousands of questions that you have in the first few weeks. And the moments I want to be there for the most are the ones you think aren't important enough to share or you think it's just you. I’m currently a ProDoula Certified Labor Doula (CD-L) + A Dona International Certified Doula (CD). I am also a Certified Fertility Doula (CFD), Reproductive Health Specialist (RHS), Postpartum Doula (PPD), Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), and Infant Feeding Specialist (IFS). As the first Fertility Doula in Charlotte, NC, I know just how much support surrounding fertility complications and infertility is needed in our community. I have recently started organizing a collective of doulas committed to offering support to families and individuals undergoing any fertility assistance. Fertility work has led me to find passion in also supporting families with surrogates and those going through surrogacy. ​ Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding, pumping, supplementing, and formula feeding are all journeys that I’m in full support of and have significant experience with as well. Cultivating an environment where you can bond with your baby, no matter how you feed them, is one of my favorite things to curate for clients. ​ I’ve always loved supporting people - the deeply and passionately really truly type of love. Hello!! My name is Ocean, and I am a passionate birth doula based in Chapel Hill, NC. I am part of UNC Hospital’s ‘Birth Partners’ program, which is where I was trained. I feel centered and fulfilled when I am able to support people during this transformative, vulnerable, beautiful time. I love to approach the birth space from a mental wellness perspective to help create positive birth experiences! I love being very hands on, providing physical and emotional support. I want to help support and advocate for YOU to have the birth experience you are hoping for. Outside of my doula role, I am currently deciding on whether to pursue Nursing or Clinical Mental Health schooling. As a Postpartum Doula I will first and foremost nurture the mother, so they can better nurture the baby. In addition I will help with breastfeeding and perform other tasks such as cooking, cleaning, giving baby care tips, demonstrating baby baths, swaddling, advice on sleeping issues/sleep training and much more.
