Jodie Rodriguez

2 years of experience

Hi! I’m Jodie. I’m a birth and postpartum doula, and a NICU-informed doula. I’m a certified perinatal meditation guide, sound healer, and prenatal yoga teacher, so I really love bringing calm, practical tools into the birth space. I teach a prenatal birth prep course and specialize in helping families use evidence-based coping tools, breathwork, and mindfulness to reduce stress and anxiety throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I’ve experienced inductions, epidurals, unmedicated labor, cesareans, and a NICU stay, between my births and my past clients, so I understand how different every journey can be. My husband and I have two daughters. They’re 6 and 1. Outside of doula work, I enjoy practicing music, learning Korean, crocheting, and unwinding with good movies, books, and music.

Jodie was an amazing doula! From the very beginning, she was always available to answer questions and offer support. It honestly felt more like having a good friend walk with me through pregnancy. As a first-time mom, having Jodie by my side helped ease so much anxiety, not just for me, but for my husband too. From the power of pregnancy stones to essential oils, aromatherapy, meditation, and sound baths, Jodie offers a wide range of options to support you during pregnancy, labor, and beyond. Although my out-of-hospital birth didn’t go as planned and I ended up transferring to the hospital, Jodie never left my side. She offered unwavering support, comfort, and even helped deliver our baby. I truly don’t think I could have done it without her!

My aim is to earn the trust of my clients to guide them through their perinatal experiences and choices, but more impactfully to connect them with their own intrinsic wisdom and intuition. Supporting the PARTNER (if applicable) to support the birthing person through labor is my approach (dictated by comfort level, obviously) . As someone with a history of ED and body dysmorphia I have a passion for supporting people who have had or do have similar struggles. I am relatedly an active advocate against medical fatphobia and the associated myriad of non-evidence based biases against fat pregnant folks. My work is informed greatly by my own perinatal experiences, particularly in the realms of both birth plans and feeding plans changing, and the importance of the diagnosis and treatment of later onset postpartum mood disorders. In my free time I like to dismantle systems of white supremacy and patriarchy, tend to my indoor jungle, and build marble mazes with my kiddo.

I recommend Melanie to anyone considering hiring a doula for their birth journey. She is knowledgeable, warm, approachable, and brought a sense of humor that helped us through an intense experience. She made my wife feel seen, understood, supported, and comforted in exactly the ways she needed throughout labor. When challenges arose, Melanie advocated for us. As the birth partner, her presence allowed me to focus on supporting my wife instead of trying to manage every conversation with the many providers coming and going from our room. She allowed me to simply be present. When labor took an unexpected turn and my wife was wheeled away for a C section, Melanie was there for me during one of the most difficult moments of the experience. Her support, expertise, and compassion made an immeasurable difference for our family, and we are incredibly grateful to have had her by our side. We trust Melanie implicitly, and we'd hire her again in a heartbeat.

I have been a birth doula for ten years, a CLC for six years and a postpartum doula for three years. I came to birthwork after the births of my two oldest children- we had excellent support through two very different birth experiences and that put me on this path to supporting other families. I trained with Therese Hak-Kuhn of ToLabor, and while in the midst of having children attended births occasionally for a few years, and have been doing full time doula work since 2022. I work at a group practice with an excellent backup system. My team provides five prenatal touchpoints and on call support starting at 38 weeks until your baby is born, as well as two postpartum visits. I support clients in hospital and out of hospital settings. Between the training I received at the ToLabor workshop and my own personal experiences, I grew to shape my philosophy on what my role is. Having experienced a wide variety of outcomes welcoming my own five children - one unmedicated hospital birth, one home birth transfer cesarean, and three home birth VBACs (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) I've learned there is no one right way to give birth! My goal is to get to know each client as well as I can to best anticipate your needs during labor and birth! No two clients are the same just as no two births are the same, and knowing your preferences and how you take in information helps me show up the best way possible when you need me most!

Hi, I’m Siedah Israel, a Certified Labor Doula, Holistic Wellness Practitioner, and Certified Herbalist based in Fredericksburg in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. I’m a wife of 15 years and a homeschooling mother of five. My wellness and birth advocacy journey began with earning a certificate in Massage Therapy from Eastern Virginia Career College in 2018. I later completed my Doula Certification through Germanna Community College in 2024 and graduated with honors in Herbal Studies from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in 2025. I am currently in Phase I of the PEP process as I work toward becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). I have extensive experience supporting families through hospital births, birth center births, and home births. Personally, I have experienced three hospital births and two home births, which deeply informs the care, perspective, and support I offer to the families I serve. When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy homeschooling, spending time outdoors with my children, writing poetry, working on my werewolf novel, and handcrafting natural hair and skincare products. It is a true honor to walk alongside families with compassion, cultural awareness, and grounded support during such a sacred season of life.

I truly do not know what I would have done without Siedah, and I believe I amucky to have found her for my second birth. As someone who has gone through a traumatic birth experience my first pregnancy, I knew I needed some additional support outside of my husband. But, let's talk about the process even before birth. Months before giving birth, Siedah reminded me and helped me re-process my trauma. Made me really think about how I wanted things to go this time around. To make me confident as well in asking questions about my care and babies care. I feel like that was a huge part in the success of my second birth experience. Fast forward to the actual birth, Siedah asked all the healthcare staff the right questions, or had them re-explain what was going on. I did have to be induced as I had pre-eclampsia. Everything went so smooth, it was exactly how I imagined it. Not to mention how fast it all went too! Siedah has such a big heart, and you can tell she truly cares about you; wants what is best for you too! She treats you like family, and reminds you to choose yourself which can be hard sometimes to remember when you're a mom. You won't regret having her by your side.

Morgan Bradbury

Hi, I’m Morgan, a birth doula with a deep passion for supporting women through the sacred and powerful journey of pregnancy and birth. Outside of birth work, you can often find me hiking, camping, traveling, walking my two corgis, reading, spending time with my husband and son, or serving my church and local community. My heart for women’s health began during my very first OB/GYN appointment as a teenager, when I had to navigate a complicated diagnosis and a series of confusing and often scary interactions with specialists. Years later, after facing complications during the birth of my son, my passion for informed care and patient advocacy only grew stronger. That experience not only taught me the importance of understanding my health and my options, but it also deepened my trust in the Lord. Through it all, my faith grew as I leaned into His strength during a season full of unknowns. Since then, I’ve become deeply committed to helping women feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout their reproductive journeys. My journey led me to work on a research team developing an intrauterine balloon stent to help treat Asherman’s Syndrome—a role that involved shadowing OB/GYNs and midwives and sparked a deeper appreciation for the science behind pregnancy and birth. I truly believe that birth is not only fascinating from a medical standpoint, but also incredibly beautiful and sacred. Today, I feel called to walk alongside women in their most vulnerable and transformative moments—offering education, advocacy, and unwavering support as they step into motherhood.

Morgan is a wonderful doula with a heart for her clients and a heart for the Lord! Having been through a difficult birth with her little guy, she is knowledgeable and helpful in navigating births of different scenarios.

Namaste! I’m Tory Whitney—creator of the Sacred Sleep Method™ and author of *Sacred Sleep: A Gentle Nervous System Guide for Babies and Parents*, available on Amazon. I am a birth and postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, infant sleep consultant, mindfulness and Hypnobabies educator, intuitive guide, and founder of Whispering Lullabies. I bring more than seven years of perinatal experience and over 30 years of hands-on childcare experience to every family I serve. Sacred Sleep is more than my approach to infant sleep—it is the philosophy that guides all of my care. I believe babies and parents thrive when they feel safe, understood, and supported. Whether I am assisting during birth, caring for a newborn overnight, supporting postpartum recovery, or helping a family establish healthy sleep rhythms, I begin with connection, nervous-system regulation, responsive care, and respect for each family’s individual needs. I do not believe in forcing babies into rigid schedules or asking parents to ignore their instincts. Instead, I observe each baby’s temperament, feeding patterns, developmental stage, sensory needs, sleep cues, and family rhythm. I help parents understand the “why” behind their baby’s behavior so they can make informed decisions and move forward with confidence. My approach blends evidence-based newborn care, infant physiology, mindfulness, intuitive attunement, and more than three decades of practical caregiving experience. I provide calm, dependable, and nonjudgmental support without cry-it-out, extinction, or one-size-fits-all methods. My goal is for every family I serve to feel seen, rested, informed, and more confident in their ability to understand their baby. Through in-home, overnight, travel, and virtual care, I help families soften, settle, and find their rhythm—one breath, one night, and one season at a time.

We had the absolute best experience with Tory, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From the moment she walked into our home, she brought an immediate sense of calm and confidence that we desperately needed. After just one visit, our entire household felt more settled. She didn’t just care for our newborn—she taught me how to care for him with new techniques, hands-on guidance, and so much patience. She showed me how to soothe him, how to read his cues, and how to manage those fussy moments that had felt overwhelming before. Her approach was gentle, practical, and incredibly reassuring. On top of that, both the baby and I were coming down with a cold, and she handled the situation with so much compassion. She showed me how to help a congested newborn, helped me feel more confident in what to watch for, and even let me get much-needed rest. I truly felt cared for as a new mom, not just supported in caring for my baby. If you are looking for someone who brings expertise, calm energy, and genuine care into your home, Tory is absolutely exceptional. One visit made such a meaningful difference for us, and I am so grateful for her. I am excited to work with her again and ensure that I’ve really taken her lessons to heart.

I love Whitney she was a true god send. This pregnancy has been by far the worst pregnancy I have ever experienced and she helped me so much. She was a true advocate for myself and my child as well as his father when we couldn’t advocate for ourself she even came and helped me calm my never before having to have an emergency c-section instead of a scheduled c-section. She also came back tot he hospital to make sure my needs were being met when I felt the staff wasn’t listening to me. She is very thoughtful and gentle. If I was to ever have another child she would definitely be the first person I reached out to. Thank you Whitney 💙💙
