My experience has been on the labor & delivery floor at Denver Health as a volunteer and staff doula, and I have supported 6 private births in the past year. I am looking to gain more experience as a private doula, specifically in the birth center and home birth settings, that is why I do not list hospital births as an option. In my private business I'm interested in working with women and their families that want to put in the work required to have an empowering and positive natural childbirth experience when there is no option for an epidural. By that I mean those who have taken classes such as Lamaze, Birthing from Within, Hypnobirthing and Hypnobabies or watched videos on natural childbirth from sources like Bridget Teyler or Mama Natural on YouTube. In addition , those that are committed to the regular exercises, routines and preparations that I believe are necessary for a birthing experience that won't leave you feeling traumatized. That's not to say a woman cannot decide on a natural experience, do no prep work and still have a positive birth without an epidural, because I've seen it happen, but it's rare. If you want to put in the work for a pregnancy and birth that will change how you understand yourself, your health inside and out, and give you a life long dose of empowering confidence that only the miracle of life can provide than please consider me as your doula to support that journey. Hi All! I am Cheryl Small, a Birth & Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Educator serving families in northern Colorado. Three decades ago I had my first baby via cesarean and my next three babies were born naturally at home attended by midwives, which was a decision that changed the course of my life. I am passionate about all things natural health and believe the body has the ability to perform beyond what our minds can comprehend. This includes physiological birth. The body knows what to do. Does that mean every birth goes accordingly? Not always. But I have found the biggest obstacle is not the body, but the mind, so when prepared with education, tools, support and informed decision making, the chances of obtaining your desired birth are greater. I have supported over 60 births in the last 2.5 years at home, in birthing centers and hospitals and would love to walk alongside you through pregnancy, labor, delivery and ALL things postpartum. Hi my name is Maryann Linley. I love God, children, animals, and the outdoors. I have heart to serve others. I have had a servant heart ever since I could remember, around age 9 is when I really took care of a baby by myself, for the first time. I have been a professional nanny since I was 22 years old but I have been taking care of children for about 28 years now. Which, is what has led me to becoming a certified doula through DONA International, to help serve mom's and dad's.

have been a doula since 2007 and have had the opportunity to attend a variety of births including medicated, non-medicated, multiples, VBAC’s and home-births. I use many tools to help a woman cope in labor including massage, pressure points, movement, aromatherapy and I am trained in using a TENS unit and have units that I let my clients use for their labor. I love teaching some of the tricks I have learned over the years to the dad and helping him feel a part of the birth. My goal is for the mom and dad to feel like “WE did it” as they hold their sweet baby. I feel passionate about a woman’s power and ability to have the kind of birth experience she longs for. Birth is a beautiful, powerful and natural event. I believe that during labor, a mom needs to surround herself with people that believe in her ability and trust her body and I am always honored when chosen to be a part of that team.
