I love the field on birth and babies. I have been to hundreds of births over the span of 12 years. I changed careers for a number of years as an EMT. Therefore, I have a strong medical background. Also, I am AHA certified in infant, children, adult CPR, and a certified newborn care specialist, and postpartum Doula. I have now created my own company as a Postpartum Doula serving Sonoma to San Francisco, and East Bay We have now expanded into the San Francisco and East Bay. Carina is a second generation Filipinx and El Salvadoran queer and revolutionary full-spectrum doula. In an effort to embrace both of Carina's ancestral lineages, Carina is committing to the re-knowing/re-learning of advocacy for families on their journeys of pregnancy, labor, postpartum, miscarriages, loss, and abortion. Through this work, Carina devotes themself to re-membering the innate wisdom and powers of birthing people’s abilities to birth life into this earthly realm. I’m Hailey- a wife, mama to 3 babies, birth doula, and postpartum meal specialist. After an unpleasant hospital birth with my first, I spent months dreaming of becoming a doula. I had such a fire inside me to help other mom’s get the most out of their pregnancy and birth experience, but most of all, to guide them to follow their own intuition. With my nursing baby in tow, I trained with Sierra Childbirth Institute and kicked off my doula journey. Since then, I’ve been having babies of my own, balancing motherhood, and attending home and hospital births. Holding space for women to carry out their birth wishes and helping guide them to follow what truly matters most to them is what drives me in this work. I believe birth is transformative for mothers and babies, a truly sacred event in life that deserves nothing but love and respect the whole way. I am a Lamaze certified Childbirth Educator and a birth doula. I have been attending births in a doula role since 2014 and been an educator since 2018. I am committed to increasing education and knowledge about birth into the hands of expectant parents who can most benefit from it and put it to use!
