I’m a mom of four—two daughters I had when I was young, and two sons I’ve had in my 30s with my husband, whom I married last year. My journey as a teen mom taught me resilience, the importance of support, and the power of community—lessons I carry with me every day. Family and community are central to my life: I’m connected through our church, and I spend a lot of time with my three sisters, raising our children together, exploring hikes, and finding outdoor adventures. I’ve homeschooled my older daughters from kindergarten through 4th grade, participating in a co-op school and fostering a love of learning along the way. Outside of family, I enjoy volunteering with YoungLives to support teen parents, playing board games, video games and reading. I’ve had a variety of jobs over the years, but the one I’ve enjoyed the most is raising my children—it’s taught me patience, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the small moments that matter most

There aren’t enough words to express how incredible Jackiie is! I wasn’t sure if I wanted a doula when I was pregnant with my first baby. I interviewed a couple doulas before Jackiie, and my husband and I decided against hiring a doula. It is such a sacred and vulnerable place to bring someone into, and it made me nervous. However, I met Jackiie and she ended up being just what we needed! I don’t know what we would have done without her. During my very long labor, Jackiie was right there by my side and immediately felt like family. She was so knowledgeable, comforting, and encouraging the whole time. Jackiie is very dedicated and has such a calming presence. She is such a huge supporter and was so supportive of my unmedicated birth plan. I know she would be supportive of whatever a mama wants even if it’s not an unmedicated birth! Her presence was everything I needed when my labor and delivery didn’t go as I’d hoped or planned. She was a gentle and empowering guide and support to my husband as well. Not only did I need her support, but so did my husband. I am absolutely hiring Jackiie for all my future births and can’t recommend her enough!

Layla was the first person that we have brought into our home for such a sensitive period. We usually have family exclusively during the postpartum period but finally after two children, wanted to see the other side of things with a postpartum doula. My family was so happy when she arrived - and she stepped right in and became part of our family. She figured her way around our home like it was her own and was so useful during the overnights - I truly now understand why people hire this service now. The luxury of having someone you trust taking care of your children is a true blessing! Not only that - all of our boundaries and home rules we're respected. We felt so comfortable and would have her again if we weren't done having kids! Thank you Layla!

I'm a former licensed teacher that followed my passion to change my 17 year side job of childbirth education and birth doula work into a full time career. It started with earning my credentials as a childbirth educator from the Seattle Midwifery School and teaching in Portland area hospitals but morphed into doing birth doula work as people I met invited me to be part of their births. I like to say I fell into birth doula work unintentionally, but it ignited a passion to do it all that I could (while raising young children, teaching kindergarten part time, and teaching childbirth prep. WHEW! Those were busy years!) Fast forward to 2022, when I became an empty nester (letting both my scientist and my opera singing daughters fly!) and made the decision to leave the classroom and pursue birth doula work and childbirth education. I hold a Masters Degree in curriculum and instruction, so helping birthing people and their support team learn about birth is a natural and easy process for me. Once I decided to do birth work full time, I pursed further education as a birth doula (which was a review of a TINY part that I learned through childbirth educator training, LOL!) and became DONA certified as a birth doula. Through the years I have been lucky to experience a wide variety of births: medicated, unmedicated, planned and unplanned cesarean, VBAC, and so much more. I have years of experience helping those that birth, with or without neurodivergence and other challenges, find their way to empowerment and joy, no matter how their birth journey unfolds. I pull from a wide range of tools, tricks, and methods to provide what YOU would like your birth to look, sound, and feel like. From Hypnobirthing, breathing, crafting the ideal birthing environment to Spinning babies, position work, and comfort measures (comforting touch, using water & heat, leveraging pleasure for more oxytocin), I actively pursue discovering YOUR magic combination for reduced discomfort, labor length, and stress. I keep the birth space calm, safe, easy-going, compassionate, and positive, so that you can enter parenthood empowered and joyful. I provide individualized education, encouragement, and planning prior to labor, and support during the birth process to take the pressure and stress off of you and your labor support though an experience that can have a bazillion variables and may be alien to you. I keep it simple and as stress free as I possibly can so that you can be fully present and enjoy your prenatal, birth, and postpartum experience.

Having Lori with is on this journey was incredible. As first time parents it was important to us that we had someone by our side who could help us navigate pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I immediately felt at ease with Lori - she offered an non-judgmental but educated approach. When our birth plans hit a snag (breech baby) she not only helped us pivot and prepare for a whole new set of unknowns but she sat with us in the grief that came along with accepting this new journey. I was so grateful to have Lori with us for our ECV and ultimately our c-section. Having her in the OR helped calm both mine and my husbands nerves. We are so grateful for her support throughout the entire process and look forward to working with her again when we decide to try for our second!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our doula Rebecca. From the very beginning, she was attentive, compassionate, and genuinely invested in making our birth experience as positive and stress-free as possible. She was incredibly hands-on, always available to answer questions, provide reassurance, and offer practical guidance every step of the way. Her knowledge, professionalism, and calm presence gave us confidence during a time that could have felt overwhelming. Hi, I’m Kim! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m the owner of Birthing Days Doula Services, a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and infant sleep consultant serving families throughout the Portland metro area. With over eight years of experience and more than 250 births attended, I’ve had the privilege of supporting families through just about every kind of birth experience imaginable—from unmedicated births and epidurals to inductions, VBACs, cesareans, birth centers, and home births. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no two births are alike, and your support shouldn't be either. **My philosophy is simple: Your birth, your choices, your experience. I'm here to support YOU.** I like to think of myself as your **birth best friend—with years of experience, evidence-based knowledge, a calming presence, and absolutely no judgment.** Whether you're hoping for an unmedicated birth, planning an epidural, preparing for a cesarean, or simply figuring out what feels right for you, my goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and supported every step of the way. I'll be there to offer hands-on comfort measures, help you navigate decisions, encourage and involve your partner, and provide a steady, reassuring presence when things feel overwhelming. I'll cheer you on, laugh with you, advocate for your wishes, and remind you just how capable you are—even when things don't go exactly as planned. I believe birth support should feel personal, not clinical. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your fears, celebrating the exciting moments, and knowing you have someone in your corner who genuinely cares about you and your experience. And my support doesn't have to end when your baby arrives! With experience in postpartum recovery, newborn care, feeding, and infant sleep, I'm here to help you navigate those first weeks and months of parenthood, too. When I'm not supporting families, you'll find me spending time with my husband of 25 years and our three kids, traveling, camping, reading, or cheering on the Oregon Ducks! **Finding the right doula is about more than experience and certifications. It's about finding someone you connect with, feel comfortable around, and trust to be part of one of the most meaningful moments of your life.** I'd love to hear your story, learn about your hopes for birth, and talk about what matters most to you. Whether you have a detailed birth plan or aren't quite sure where to begin, I'd love the opportunity to get to know you and see if we're the right fit. **Let's connect! I can't wait to meet you!** — Kim Birthing Days Doula Services

Kim was so helpful- a calming and informative presence. This was so needed, especially when everything went haywire- she adapted to our needs as I went into labor a month early, and had to unexpectedly change hospitals. She was quite literally my only predictable factor in this experience. Her advocacy and communication skills were always on point, and she was so easy to talk to. I would highly recommend her services to anyone!

Amy’s professional and personal endeavors have always been driven by an unwavering commitment to supporting thriving children and empowered families- as a devoted eldest sister to 5 siblings, a professional nanny specializing in infants and toddlers, a direct support professional and in-home caregiver, a social worker, and now as a Postpartum Doula! Amy views the postpartum period as a time of profound transformation and is honored to witness and support families throughout the 4th trimester with non-judgmental, compassionate care. Amy integrates her social work education with her deep understanding of maternal mental health, infant development, and community resources to provide evidence-based information, emotional support, and referrals to local resources. At the core of Amy’s approach is the principle of nourishment- whether this comes in the form of preparing a nutrient dense meal or a warming herbal tea, a nurturing conversation, or caring for baby while parents rest or engage in a self care practice. Amy’s priority is to facilitate a space of nourishment where recovery and bonding can flourish. Amy hopes to leave the families she works with feeling confident, secure, and in connection with their babies and to their own intuitive wisdom. As well as empowered with knowledge and resources so they continue to thrive long after her time with them.

We feel so grateful to have found Amy as our postpartum doula. From the very beginning, she has been kind, caring, and nurturing, not only with our five-month-old baby, who absolutely adores her, but with our whole family. Amy truly understands postpartum life can be sometimes lonely and overwhelming. She has been such a wonderful presence, someone I can talk to openly, who listens and reassures without judgment. She makes me feel seen and supported, and she reminds me that it really does take a village to raise a little human. She consistently goes above and beyond in her care, and we’ve come to deeply trust her. She is always punctual, communicative, and dependable, which makes it easy to relax knowing our baby is in the best hands. Having Amy as part of our support system has made this season of life lighter and more joyful. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Hello! I’m Jordan, and I'm deeply passionate about nurturing families and caring for little ones. After spending more than a decade as a nanny, I discovered just how much I love showing up for families in whatever way they need, day by day. Being closely connected to many families and dear friends during their pregnancies, births, and postpartum journeys opened my eyes to just how transformative and intense the perinatal season can be. That experience sparked a desire in me to learn everything I could about supporting people during this sacred time, and it quickly became clear that becoming a doula was my calling. I went on to train as a fertility, birth, and postpartum doula, and found myself especially drawn to supporting families during the postpartum period. It's a time that often feels overlooked, despite being so crucial. I completed my postpartum doula certification and began my work, focusing on offering real, tangible support when families need it most. As a postpartum doula, I’m here to walk alongside new parents as they find their footing and build confidence in their own instincts. My approach is rooted in being a calm, grounding, and consistent presence during what can be an overwhelming transition. I tailor my support to meet each family's individual needs because no two postpartum journeys look the same. It’s incredibly important to me that the families I support feel safe, heard, and cared for, every step of the way. One of the biggest challenges I noticed early on was sleep, or more accurately, the serious lack of it. Wanting to better guide families through that hurdle, I became certified as an Infant and Family Sleep Specialist. Supporting families with sleep, including overnight care, has since become a core part of my work and something I care deeply about. As a queer person, I’m especially passionate about affirming and supporting families of all kinds. It’s a true honor to be welcomed into such a personal and powerful chapter in someone’s life, and I’m endlessly grateful for the opportunity to do this work. Having Jordan become part of our village during our first weeks with a newborn was one of the best decisions we've made as new parents. From the very first night, she brought a calm, steady presence into our home. Jordan was incredibly kind, endlessly patient, and completely unfazed by the chaos of newborn life and the messy, emotional reality of postpartum recovery. She was warm and gentle with our baby—someone we fully trusted to care for them while we got some much-needed rest. Jordan's flexibility with scheduling and willingness to adapt as our needs changed was something we didn’t realize we’d value so much until we were in it. Jordan also has that rare ability to show up with quiet confidence and deep compassion, without ever making it about her. She just makes things feel manageable—and in those early weeks, that’s everything. If you're on the fence, don’t be. Jordan is the kind of support every family deserves in the thick of those exhausting, beautiful first months.

Working with Georgia was one of the best decisions we made when preparing for our baby’s birth! Even after taking multiple birthing classes, Georgia helped us think through things we hadn’t considered when putting together our birth preferences. Her attention to detail made us feel so prepared and confident when the big day finally came. During birth, her calm energy and presence were such a gift to both my husband and me and truly helped make the experience so positive. She was also an incredible support when some big decisions needed to be made, helping me advocate for myself during moments when I wasn’t in the headspace to do so. Having someone in our corner who was so knowledgeable, supportive, and reassuring made all the difference. And her postpartum support has been just as wonderful! There’s something so special about having someone who was part of your birth experience also be there to support you through recovery. Georgia has become such a special person to our family, and we truly can’t recommend her enough. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and always ready to show up in whatever way her clients need. We feel so lucky to have had her by our side!

Sarah was my doula for tue 3rd birth and the experience was great! We met beforehand to talk about my goals and wants and why I wanted a doula the first place. She listened to everything and I felt supported in my decisions. During labor she helped to question the medical team decisions to my benefit which was very nice. Overall it was my best experience out of 3 which tells you something 😁 Highly recommend her!

Aline helped our family for a few months, and I could not recommend them more. Aline is thoughtful, kind, patient, knowledgeable, and curious. It was a joy to see them bond with our son. They often went what I'd consider above and beyond the call of duty for our entire family. Communication was easy, and they were extremely punctual and professional. Aline is very connected in the postpartum space as well and often had great recommendations for us. It's hard to imagine this period of life without them.
