Growing up on a recreational farm in Canada, I watched animals give birth from a young age, which gave me my first realization of how natural the birth process could be. I’m a mom of four—two daughters I had when I was young, and two sons I’ve had in my 30s with my husband, whom I married last year. My journey as a teen mom taught me resilience, the importance of support, and the power of community—lessons I carry with me every day. Family and community are central to my life: I’m connected through our church, and I spend a lot of time with my three sisters, raising our children together, exploring hikes, and finding outdoor adventures. I’ve homeschooled my older daughters from kindergarten through 4th grade, participating in a co-op school and fostering a love of learning along the way. Outside of family, I enjoy volunteering with YoungLives to support teen parents, playing board games, video games and reading. I’ve had a variety of jobs over the years, but the one I’ve enjoyed the most is raising my children—it’s taught me patience, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the small moments that matter most

When I first started in the business of helping people I worked as an alcohol and drug counselor at a residential treatment facility. I worked with and guided people from very diverse backgrounds. That work has directly applied to my ability to effectively communicate with and support others. After my time as a counselor I co-founded and currently co-own a personal training business that specializes in training folks who are pregnant and postpartum. Becoming a doula seemed like a natural next step as an extension of what I'm already passionate about doing: helping and empowering people.

I am a mother to 7 and grandmother to 3 toddlers. My children range from 16-31 years old. Yes they are all mine and I gave birth to every one, plus 4 in Heaven. When I gave birth to my children I was able to do 6 of them unmedicated and all were delivered vaginally with no significant damage to my lady parts. All a testament to good education, faith, and great, knowledgeable caregivers. I would love to work with clients who are seeking this kind of birth. However, my passion and calling is to help parents to have the birth they are desiring, and to support them in their journey no matter the method; whether vaginal, unmedicated, epidural, C-section(planned or emergency), hospital, birth center, or at home.
