I'm a social worker by education. I've spent the last 14 years working with low-income families to empower and encourage sustainability and health literacy. I became interested in birth work when I began working on a project to reduce infant mortality. It was with my birth team, which included my midwife, doula, and husband, that I brought two beautiful boys earth-side in my own home. Pregnancy and birth is a healthy, natural and normal process. Expecting parents deserve to proceed with their pregnancy and birth knowing their options and not feeling judged for making decisions based on their preferences and values.
