Celebrate Birth is an independent midwifery practice with the only birth center in Polk County, FL. Our staff is honored to serve women in pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. We offer women a variety of options for prenatal care, all designed to best meet their needs and preferences while maintaining the health and safety of their baby. Lactation support at Celebrate Birth is available to everyone in our community, regardless of where they have chosen to receive prenatal care or deliver their baby. We are proud to staff International Board Certified Lactation Consultants who have undergone advanced training in oral function, restrictions, and habilitation of the newborn baby. Our caring IBCLCs are ready to listen, assess, and create a unique feeding plan that best fits both you and your baby’s needs. I am a lifelong Alaskan who discovered my love for birth and women’s health in nursing school. That passion only increased after having my first daughter and from there, I pursued a degree in Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health as a Nurse Practitioner through Georgetown University. My practice philosophy is that each human has a unique lived experience that impacts their own health in profound ways. Health is not just a physical component but is a holistic blend of body, mind, and spirit to encompass the whole person. My role as a practitioner in their life is to gain understanding of them as a human, respond to questions and curiosities with evidence-based practice, and promote an environment of trust and shared decision-making. When I am not in the clinic or attending births, I love to spend time with my husband and two daughters outside playing in beautiful Alaska!

I’m Connie Lambeth, a Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Midwife. My love of birth started as a preschooler — when my mother asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up — I knew I wanted to catch babies. I had the ability to receive midwifery care during both of my pregnancies and births, and postpartum experiences. Directly benefitting from midwifery care lit the fire in my life of what is possible for individualized holistic healthcare. I’ve been professionally involved in birthwork since 2015, first as a certified doula and Hypnobirthing childbirth educator, and now as a midwife. I earned my midwifery degree from the National College of Midwifery based out of Taos, NM, and studied my hands-on learning over an intensive two years. I had the honor of apprenticing with two home birth midwives in the Madison area, and at a high volume out-of-hospital birth center in Milwaukee under the guidance of five midwives and one physician. Before becoming a midwife, I was a teacher (I’ve taught early childhood to adult learners, from Public to Montessori), with a Master’s Degree in Educational Research. As a lifelong learner and experiential educator, I see pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting as life’s greatest experiential lessons. Although I don’t teach in a classroom anymore, I use my background as a teacher, educator, and researcher to help families to make informed choices and feel supported while they grow. I’m committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in my practice of culturally competent and comprehensive midwifery care. I value each individual navigating their childbearing year tremendously and strive to do everything I can do to support them in reaching their goals. Helping individuals and their families during one of the most influential transitions of their lives speaks to my values and most natural skill set: compassion, empathy, and openness.

I am a certified midwife in both Europe and the US, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and a Natural Family Planning coach with the Marquette Method. With over 20 years of experience in holistic birth, I’ve worked in Belgium, France, and the US, including hospitals, private practice, and Birthing Center. ​ My husband and I moved from France to Austin, Texas, in 2012 with our two eldest children, and our youngest son was born right here in Austin. Talk about a Texan welcome! I’m also a certified Haptotherapist, having received my certification from CIRDH in 2012. Haptonomy, widely used in Europe, helps parents-to-be function as partners in parenting before birth. Hi! I am a certified nurse midwife! I love providing women with un-rushed, gentle care. I focus on shared decision making and informed consent. We have 60 mins for new patient visits and 30 min for return patients- this is for both GYN and pregnancy visits. This extra time allows you to have all your questions and concerns addressed without feeling the pressure of an overly booked provider. I attend births at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and have a fabulous collaborating OBGYN for any patients with complications out of my scope of practice or those needing surgical intervention. I have a background in home birth and birth center birth where I practiced for 4 years- I give that same warm, friendly, present care in the hospital owned practice setting!
