A little about me: I am a certified birth doula, wife, and a mother to 3 amazing kiddos! Michael (6), Julia (4) and Damien (2). Becoming a mother, along with witnessing the birth of my niece was the reason I wanted to become a doula. There is so much I wish I would have known when i was pregnant with my first born and so I am passionate about informing moms of their choices and helping them navigate pregnancy and birth. Meredith is a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, certified women’s hormone specialist, cycle + fertility coach, menstruation educator, and mother to three amazing kids, ages 7, 5 and 3. She loves everything about the menstrual cycle–hormones, menstruation, fertility, birth, postpartum, and menopause. She loves teaching women (and families) how to use their cycle to balance their lives (and their hormones) and accomplish their goals for growing their family, or not. But Birth has a special place in Meredith’s heart. She came to birth work on a Thursday afternoon driving home from her Human Resources job. She was complaining about her job to her sister and her sister’s response was, “you should go be a Doula”. What’s a Doula? After her sister explained what a Doula does, a voice inside of her said, “I was born to do that”. She was in Doula training the next month and she has never looked back. She loves being with families and witnessing their growth and transformation as they move through the birth and postpartum process. Meredith excels at supporting families through natural/unmedicated birth both in and out of the hospital, and a lot of her clients have great results from her support in delaying medication so that it supports their labor rather than hinders it. Meredith is passionate about families knowing their options, preparing well, and tapping into the spiritual nature of the birth process to create an empowering experience. Additionally, she excels at assisting families to set up healthy rhythms for maximized nighttime sleep, feeding and bonding postpartum.

Passion for helping others has been ingrained in me for as long as I can recall. No one should feel alone; it has always been my inclination to extend beyond expectations, offering a comforting presence to loved ones and patients navigating moments of solitude and unease during transitions in hospitals. To me, being your Doula is not just providing you counter pressure and support. It’s about creating that positive birth space for you, where you can completely surrender and lay trust into your surroundings! Where you can be fully present with yourself and your baby as they transition from being a part of you on the inside and into one of their own in your arms on the outside. For each of my birth clients, I craft personally written affirmation cards and offer assistance in materializing your dream birth space. Post-birth, as the fourth trimester unfolds, I step into a role of unique support. This chapter, where families acquaint themselves with quirks and routines, is as distinctive as each individual. As a postpartum doula, I provide physical and mental support—whether it’s lactation guidance, rest, household chores, meal prepping, or engaging in profound conversations about life. In moments of exhaustion and when things seem askew, always remember: You are enough! Beyond my doula work, I engage with clients through informative calls, providing education on a spectrum of topics ranging from childbirth and parenting to Montessori principles. When I’m not immersed in these enlightening conversations, my off-hours are a dynamic blend of creativity and rejuvenation. To stay grounded and invigorated, I venture outdoors, whether it’s through the exhilarating experience of cold plunging or the serenity of a hike in nature.

Having trained as a Doula and Prenatal Yoga Instructor in Washington, D.C., I gained valuable experience supporting mothers in fast-paced medical settings where advocacy and informed decisions are essential. I have gone through pain of grief in my life that truly has taken me deeper into a true relationship with God and myself. I feel pain when words can not be expressed, I feel love and joy when the words are so exciting nothing can come out. I feel the anxious feeling of the unknown when written in silence. I can’t explain the truth behind it but I know it’s all because God is always working and is calling us to be there for one another. We are not ever meant to do this world alone.
