I have been teaching somatics for over 12 years throughout my local Salt Lake City community. I acquired my BFA in Modern Dance and Education from the University of Utah in 2009 and shortly after gained my yoga teacher training in Hatha and Prenatal Yoga. I am a certified DONA Birth and Postpartum Doula, an ICEA accredited childbirth educator, parenting group coordinator, mental health advocate and community organizer. All of the diverse education and training, as well as years of experience, provided me the space to confidently educate the community of expectant parents during their reproductive years, while simultaneously providing unbiased evidence based care. While I was studying for my degree, I started reading everything I could find about becoming a birthworker.
