Jeaonna was flexible and comforting always meeting our angst or questions with calm expertise. She became a part of our family and was the reason we were able to birth confidently and comfortably with our family in our home.

I am an Occupational Therapist (OT) specially trained in pelvic floor rehabilitation for all stages of life and a certified pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise specialist. I founded Vital Pelvic Health and Wellness after working as a pelvic floor therapist for years and realizing the traditional medical model was failing my patients, particularly in preventative education and treatment during pregnancy/postpartum period. I had a dream of creating a clinic that provided preventative education to the community, holistic patient-centered care and treatments that focused on achieving lasting relief by finding the root cause of symptoms and looking at the whole person. People suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction are at a disadvantage in our medical system because most providers don't understand the pelvic floor-they just prescribe kegels. I created VH to change that. I was born and raised in Columbiana, Ohio and have been working as an OT in Youngstown for almost 10 years. When imnot ranting about pelvic floor dysfunction to anyone who will listen, I’m spending time with my husband, two small children and our two rescue dogs; preferably outside or on an adventure in the RV!

Hi, I'm Kyleigh, hopefully I'll be your doula. I am so excited to go on this journey with you, but first let me introduce myself. I started this journey after working in the nursing home as an Stna. While I love being an Stna, State Tested Nurse Aide and Esthetician, I have always been curious about birth and the female anatomy. So, I decided to get certified. I have always had the heart for taking care of people and can't wait to care for you and your family. When I was little, my younger sister and I would pretend like I was the doctor and she was getting ready to have a baby. My sister would go to check ups and I would give her an "ultrasound" and eventually she would birth the baby, a doll put under her shirt, and she would come back with her doll for a postpartum checkup. Since I was a little girl taking care of moms and babies has been my dream. As an SBD certified Doula, I feel honored to be able to share my expertise with women and families around Columbiana, Mahoning, Stark, and Carroll County. I approach birth holistically. As well as physical support during labor, my role is also to act as an advocate for the birthing woman and her family. Contact me to find out more.

I never thought I’d have a need for a doula nor did I know much of what one did until my sister-in-law suggested it to me. I am forever grateful that she did and that I was able to have Krista as my doula. She made my birth experience so much better in every way possible. She answered my questions, kept me comfortable and advocated for me to my medical team. Not only that but she was able to help ease my husband and guide him as this was our first time becoming parents! There was so much I didn’t realize I didn’t know until actually giving birth. Krista is so down to earth and I didn’t feel awkward or uncomfortable with her the entire time. She will support you in every aspect and won’t judge any decisions you make about your pregnancy and birth - because this experience should be just that, exactly what you and your body want and need. I would recommend Krista to any and everybody, love her so much!

Hi there! I’m Michelle! I’m a fellow home birth mama to four amazing children. I believe birth should be gentle, undisturbed and transformational for mothers and their families. Nurturing mothers during birth and postpartum is the foundation for how they are able to connect with their families and themselves. We are rewriting the patriarchal narrative, women need to serve women above all else. It’s important to know that as your doula, I strive for a friendship, not a business agreement. I’m so excited to meet you!

I can't thank Jesse enough for the incredible support during my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period. From our first meeting, she made me feel comfortable and informed. During labor, she was a calming presence, using techniques that truly helped manage my pain. Her postpartum support was invaluable, assisting with breastfeeding and newborn care. She was always available to answer questions and provided the emotional support I needed. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable doula!!

I’m a local birth doula trained through DONA International. While becoming a doula is a recent endeavor of mine, I have always had a passion for learning about pregnancy and childbirth. With a degree in Child and Family development and a background in teaching, I’m constantly pursuing training and furthering my education to build on my knowledge of child development and how I can help expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. My goal as a doula is to create a relationship with my client where they feel supported physically and emotionally. I don’t replace their partners, rather I’m a source of additional help to provide them and their families with information and advocate for their needs and wants. I want you to feel empowered and confident throughout each stage of your pregnancy and birth. You are my first priority, and I’m honored to be experiencing this journey with you!

Hello! I’m Kayla, I’ve been a doula for about 3 years now. As I do Doula work, I am also a nanny on the side. My passion for birth work came from talking to friends and families about how traumatizing their births were. The more research I did, I soon realized that some of that trauma could have been resolved by simply having an advocate. I wanted to be that advocate for mothers. I truly believe that birth is such an amazing event, but each and every mother deserves support, as it is a huge moment. I want to advocate for YOU. If you have any questions in regards to availability, or just any questions in general, please reach out via email: thedelightfuldoula.pa@gmail.com
