Both were born without any medical interventions or drugs, thanks to the Bradley method. I loved being in control of my labor and having my husband there, supporting me. My classes teach you How to work with your body, not against it. And help your partner to know how to support your laboring needs. I'm Brazilian, wife and a mom of two girls. My cultural Background and my daughter's birth experiences are deeply connected to my decision to become a doula. Growing up, I used to listen to my mother's birth stories, which helped me see childbirth as a grand and beautiful event. For me, the idea of giving birth was always sacred - but it was through the births of my two daughters that I truly understood what it means to give birth. After my second birth, I knew I wanted to become the kind of support person who had been essential to me during my own experience. In 2021 I began walking the path to become a Doula.

After my son's birth, I was reeling from how well my birth journey went. I heard so many horror stories from friends and family about how their birthing days went. I was appalled for them. Most were pushed around by hospital staff, forced into unnecessary c-sections or just completely unaware of what options they had! I became determined to be an advocate for women who want to feel validated and that they can birth the way they choose. I want to be able to provide a beautiful experience, to anyone who desires it. Having my son empowered me to help other women have the birth of their dreams. I strive for a smooth, calm process, free from stress, judgement and fear.
