I support parents who want a deeply intentional, holistic postpartum experience that prioritizes healing, nourishment, and emotional support, not just survival. My work centers on helping you feel prepared, rested, and cared for as you recover from birth and bond with your baby. I provide personalized postpartum planning, guidance on physical recovery, newborn care support, and practical help establishing boundaries, rhythms, and sustainable systems at home. Families who work with me value a grounded, intuitive approach to parenthood and want support that honors both the science of postpartum care and the wisdom of the body. What sets my work apart is my holistic training and focus on whole-person healing. I integrate Ayurvedic postpartum principles, offering guidance on warming foods, nourishment for breastfeeding, and practices that support hormonal balance, energy, and recovery. I help parents understand how to nourish their bodies for milk production, rebuild strength after birth, and create a home environment that promotes rest and regulation for both parent and baby. My approach blends trauma-informed emotional support, attachment-focused care, and community-centered values so you feel confident, deeply supported, and truly held during this transformative season.

Siena was a wonderful doula - I highly recommend her! For my second baby, I was trying for a VBAC. My baby was a few days late and I was very worried about having to be induced. Siena gave me so many helpful tips to try to bring on labor and I tried ALL of them. All of that prep work definitely contributed to going into labor, the short labor that I had (less than 3 hours from first contraction to delivery!) and my successful VBAC without an epidural. I had such a radically different experience this birth compared to with my first kid (did not have a doula that time around). And my entire postpartum experience was much improved because the labor was so much different/better. I am very appreciative of Siena's guidance and support throughout the latter weeks of my pregnancy. All of her work with me and my husband definitely helped create that positive experience and I will be forever grateful! Siena has a very calming presence, and I always felt cared-for and prepared after talking to her. She also encouraged me to think about things that I wouldn't have thought of on my own - i.e. how to prepare for the postpartum period. Because my labor was so short, Siena arrived very soon after the baby was born and she helped calm me down and deal with the crazy shakes and nausea that I had, as well as breastfeeding. She immediately assessed the situation and was able to provide things that were really comforting to me, without me even asking - she massaged my feet and put some peppermint oil by my head. And in those quiet moments following delivery, those careful, considerate details will forever be ingrained in my memory of my baby's first minutes in the world!

Erin is an INCREDIBLE gem of a doula. From the moment my husband and I met her, we knew instantly that she was the one. And we were right! First of all, her passion and positive energy are contagious. We accomplished SO MUCH during our first visit. She patiently guided me through various poses to ease discomfort and prepare me for labor, all while getting to know me. By the end of the visit, she had me completely figured out. In my stubborn moments, Erin always had the magic words to get me unstuck. Our dynamic was as though we were old friends. My birth experience was a 3-day induction with lots of highs and lows. Erin was there for ALL of it and kept the same energy throughout. When I felt lazy and wouldn't get out of the bed, she was the birth whisperer. I laugh when I remember how she "tricked" me into dancing and walking to bring on labor and how much I ended up enjoying it. Erin also wisely guided us through the medical team's recommendations and helped us make informed choices. On day 3, she told me we could get the baby out in a few hours if I did what she said, and IT HAPPENED! I had some unforeseen complications after, and she stayed with my husband and baby until I was out of the OR and stabilized. She even met us at home some weeks after to check on me, debrief, and celebrate. Erin is kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about birth. She has a PERMANENT place in my heart and invitation to the cookout. https://doulamatch.net/testimonial/detail/81721

Hi, I'm Catherine! I live in Hyattsville with my husband, 2.5 YO son and puppy named Daisy. After graduating from the University of Maryland in 2014, I traveled around doing some mission work, met my husband while living in Maine and eventually we landed back in my hometown to start a family. I love spending time at the beach, going for walks outside, a little coffee with my cream, fuzzy socks, loud country music, driving with the windows down, bonfires, sweater weather, cooking and baking from scratch, salted caramel, mom groups and Gilmore Girls. I believe that birth is meant to work, and that all women deserve support, encouragement and respect while they are birthing their beautiful baby! Let me walk with you on this journey towards motherhood however that looks for you. I am happy to support you with in-person or virtual doula services. I am trained in Hypnobirthing and Lamaze techniques, and currently working towards certification with Madriella Birth Doula Certification. I am excited to meet you and support you on this journey - reach out to me today so we can chat about your hopes and dreams for this birth! :)

Catherine was our support system for the birth of our first daughter. She taught us so much as we prepared to welcome our daughter, and she was the cheerleader I needed by my side during delivery. She was always available for random questions/concerns and she helped us get the information we needed to feel confident in the decisions we made at the hospital and beyond. As a Catholic family, it was also really nice to have another strong Catholic woman praying for us and with us throughout the whole process. I have recommended Catherine to friends considering hiring a doula, and I will continue to do so.

She’s worked within the family service profession for nine years, offering traditional yet personalized support. She also dedicates time advising families who need healthcare referrals, sibling assistance, and bereavement support ⋆。°✩ As a mother who chose to home-birth, Nia fully understands the physical, emotional, and informational support families need, whether they plan to have a medicated or unmedicated birth — BOTH choices require the same level of mindfulness and decision-making. She believes mothers should prepare for the personal experience of childbirth by discovering ways to feel their absolute best, however that may look for them. Nia enjoys helping families prepare for their birth journey by narrowing down on what is most important to them, addressing the nervous system, sharing pain management techniques, preparing for postpartum recovery, and offering tips to support their personhood/autonomy in the hospital environment. In postpartum, she offers hands-on support to ensure parents are well-nourished, comfortable, and rested. Anisha was such a calming presence during my labor. She paid attention to what I needed and helped me through contractions with different comfort measures. One thing I’ll never forget is the warm stones she used on my back. The heat felt so soothing, especially when she paired it with pressure on my hips. It helped me relax and get through some of the hardest moments. She also made sure my partner knew how to support me and helped me feel heard throughout the experience. I’m grateful I had Anisha there. If you want a doula who brings both knowledge and genuine care into the room, I highly recommend her.

Hello / Xin chào! 👋 My name is Hoàng and I’m a full spectrum doula. I provide prenatal, birth, postpartum and reproductive care for all birthing people and their families in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. I completed my training with Doula Trainings International in February 2026 and I’m currently working towards my certification. In the summer of 2025, I became a mom and was privileged to be able to give birth to my son in the comfort of our home. The powerful experience of laboring in the arms of my partner and my mother, surrounded by an incredible team of midwives left a strong imprint on me. I decided to step into the birth care space because I want all birthing people to have the same level of support my people have done for me, who have kept me held throughout labor and nursed me back through postpartum. I am deeply aware of the inequity and challenges facing many birthing people in the US, especially to our black, brown, indigenous and immigrant families. I also realize that the solution does not lie in asking birthing people and their families to “get more educated” and “find more support”. What we need a system-wide policy change that address core issues: guaranteed paid family leave, affordable childcare, and affordable medical care. This work is inherently political, because too many birthing people have been paying the price with their own bodies and babies. Birth work is my prayer that we all receive the love, care and support we deserve, no matter who we are or where we come from. As I embark on my doula journey, if this message resonates with you, I humbly welcome you to come along and allow me to be a companion on your own birth journey. With deep gratitude / Kính thương, Hoàng🌷

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Doula Every Mom Deserves — Kim Is Truly a Godsend I honestly don’t know how I could have navigated this postpartum journey without my doula, Kim. From the moment she entered this experience with me, she has been so much more than a doula—she has been a source of comfort, reassurance, encouragement, and genuine support for me and my entire family. Kim showed up for me at the hospital during labor and stayed right there with me and my husband. She was attentive, present, supportive, and incredibly calm during a time when emotions were high and there were so many things happening at once. She never made me feel like I was bothering her or asking too much. She simply showed up and supported me exactly where I was. And then, after I gave birth, Kim didn’t just disappear. She was waiting at my home to welcome us back. That moment meant so much to me. Postpartum can be such a vulnerable and emotional transition, and having someone there who genuinely cared about how I was doing made a tremendous difference. What I love most about Kim is that she understands that supporting the mother means supporting the whole family. She interacts with my other children, she communicates with my husband, and she makes herself part of our family dynamic in such a natural and respectful way. She doesn’t just focus on the baby—she recognizes that Mom needs care too, and when Mom is cared for, the entire household benefits. Each week after birth, Kim gave me four hours a day, two days a week, and those hours helped me more than I can put into words. Those four hours gave me an opportunity to breathe, regroup, rest, handle things I needed to handle, and simply have someone there who understood that postpartum recovery isn't just physical—it can be emotional, mental, and overwhelming too. I also want to be honest about something because I think it speaks volumes about the kind of person Kim is. There was a period after birth when I was really dysregulated. I was overwhelmed, emotional, exhausted, and trying to communicate with Kim about the times she was offering me. There was a mix-up, and if I'm being completely honest, I was a little spicy. 😂 But Kim never responded with attitude. She never made me feel guilty. She never took my difficult moment personally. She was kind, patient, understanding, and continued to reassure me. At one point, I even pushed her away a little and essentially gave her an opportunity to step back and say, “Okay, maybe this isn't working.” She didn't take it. Instead, Kim reaffirmed that she was going to be by my side. That meant EVERYTHING to me. Because sometimes postpartum isn't pretty. Sometimes you're exhausted. Sometimes you're overwhelmed. Sometimes you don't communicate perfectly. Sometimes you need support while simultaneously feeling like you don't want anybody around you. And Kim understood that. She didn't abandon me in those moments. She continued to show me that her commitment wasn't conditional on me always being easy, happy, or perfectly regulated. She saw me as a whole person and continued to meet me with grace. That kind of support is priceless. And now we're taking it to another level! ❤️ We are officially on our first Mommy + Doula trip with baby, and Kim will be traveling with me for leisure activities once a month. That says a lot about the relationship and trust we've built. She has become someone I feel comfortable having alongside me not only during the difficult moments, but during the beautiful ones too. Kim has become part of my village. She has supported me as a mother, supported my children, supported my husband, and most importantly, supported ME. There are people who provide a service, and then there are people who genuinely pour into you. Kim is the latter. If you're a new mom, an experienced mom, overwhelmed, nervous about postpartum, or simply someone who believes in having a strong support system around you, I cannot recommend Kim enough. She is patient. She is compassionate. She is attentive. She is dependable. She is understanding. She is family-oriented. And she genuinely cares. Finding someone who can support you without judgment is a blessing. Finding someone who can support your entire family is rare. Kim is a Godsend. 🙏🏽❤️ I am so grateful that God placed her in my village during this season of my life. And honestly, this isn't just a review of a doula anymore—it's an appreciation post for someone who showed me that sometimes the right person comes into your life at exactly the right time. Kim, thank you for showing up. Thank you for staying. Thank you for understanding me even when I was difficult. Thank you for loving on my family. Thank you for reminding me that I don't have to do everything alone. And thank you for continuing to stand beside me even when I momentarily forgot how much I needed support. We are just getting started! 🥹❤️ 10/10. Highly recommend. A true Godsend. A beautiful addition to my village. And apparently, now my travel doula too! 😂✈️👶🏽

We are so grateful that Tiana was recommended to us by a trusted source. Tiana supported us with three overnights and two weeks of virtual texts and phone calls (as needed) to help us sleep train our daughter. Our LO was 11 months old and still only sleeping about two hours at a time, we had tried to night wean and crib naps and so many other things, but nothing helped her connect her sleep cycles except for nursing. Tiana came up with a sleep plan that met our LO where she was and made us feel comfortable. She guided us to support baby to soothe and sleep independently in such a gentle way and helped us make a huge transition so much easier. After the two weeks, baby was sleeping 5-6 hours at a time in her crib in her own room! Working with Tiana was honestly so amazing and improved our whole families’ quality of life. Thank you, Tiana!!

Breastfeeding is a learning process for both mother and baby, and having the guidance of a professional like Carolina was key to our success. With her guidance, any mother can feel confident about the well-being and happiness of both herself and her baby. We know that when a baby is happy, the whole family is happy. That is why I would like to thank Carolina for ensuring that I was able to breastfeed my son right from the moment of his birth. Thank you for your loving and confident professional guidance, for your kindness and patience with us, and for encouraging and motivating me during the most difficult times—of which there were many. Thanks to this professional—who loves what she does and is constantly staying up-to-date—my son is protected today because he is fed exclusively on my breast milk. He is gaining weight properly, and breastfeeding has become a unique time of affection and joy for both of us.

Jennifer was our post-partum doula with our 2nd child, and she saved my life - literally. First off, she accommodated the fact that our baby was a month+ early. She showed up with a gift for our older son. And she did everything proactively - it was truly a dream come true. She made me lunch, she let me sleep, she took the baby so that I could get a workout in, and she clearly paid attention to me not just physically but emotionally and mentally. I cannot recommend her warmly enough; she will be the best investment you'll make in your family and, most importantly, in yourself!

October 2026

Jennifer was our postpartum doula after the birth of my third child. I cannot recommend her highly enough - she was kind, empathetic, super knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. Even though this was my third child she still taught me tips and tricks I didn’t know, and just took such fabulous care of all of my family. My daughter was happy and settled whenever Jennifer was looking after her, and she also made sure I was taken care of - bringing me water, making sure I had eaten, and just generally doing everything to ensure I had enough rest and time to sleep, shower and feel like a human. All of my family and my husband’s family lives abroad, so Jennifer was like a mother, sister and friend rolled into one. I wish I had known her when my older two kids were born - she is an absolute gem of a person and made the postpartum period with my daughter a breeze!
