Amanda Sands

3 years of experience

Hi, my name is Amanda Sands. I’m a mom of three, certified postpartum doula, and the owner of Mama Love Doula, LLC, based in Pennsburg, PA. My doula team and I provide daytime and overnight postpartum support to families throughout Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, and Berks Counties, as well as the Main Line. To me, mothers are the heart of the home. When moms are supported, everything else flows. With the help of a postpartum doula, mothers can rest and heal from childbirth, enjoy nourishing meals without the stress of preparing them, and focus on bonding with their baby—without worrying about cleaning, laundry, or everything else that comes with caring for a newborn. I believe that when mothers receive this kind of care and support, they don’t just get through postpartum—they truly thrive. When I’m not supporting families, you can find me spending time with my kids, snuggling with one of my three cats, listening to music, or getting lost in a good book. I genuinely love to clean (yes, really!), enjoy getting outside for walks and practicing yoga, and I’m always on the go running my kids to their many activities—especially during baseball season! It would truly be an honor to support you and your family during your postpartum journey. Learn more: www.mamalovedoula.com www.instagram.com/mamalovedoula

Amanda was our "fairy god-doula!". She was incredibly kind, patient, calm, and was vital to our transition as new parents. Not only did she care for our newborn, but she also made sure we were cared for as well - with nourishing meals, clean laundry, making sure the house was tidy, and giving us time to rest and reset. Her presence made the "newborn trenches", which can be overwhelming to most, a period of comfort and calm in our home. It allowed me to focus on my own recovery and spend quality time with my baby, which I will always cherish. I am so grateful for her services and could not imagine how I would have gotten through that time without her.

Grace Kovitch

3 years of experience

My name is Grace Kovitch and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, as well as craniosacral therapy practitioner located in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. When I started off as a birth doula, I quickly saw the drop off in care that happened with postpartum mothers, and have dedicated my career to making sure every new mom is educated, supported, and cared for. Postpartum support is truly where my heart is, and I love seeing the moment where a new mom starts to feel confident in her new role. When I'm not supporting families, you can find me hiking, backpacking, or spending time with my loved ones.

I am delighted to recommend Grace Kovitch as a postpartum doula. Her sweet nature, care and compassion, and knowledge of newborns made her truly invaluable to our family throughout our daughter’s first four months. Her presence allowed our family to rest, recover, and truly enjoy the precious moments with our newborn. From the moment she stepped into our home, Grace provided a calming presence and a great knowledge about newborn care. She not only assisted with practical needs—such as soothing techniques, infant care, and light household tasks—but also provided the emotional support and reassurance that every new parent needs. Her warm and nurturing nature made all the difference during such a transformative time. (We knew she was the perfect fit for our family when our doberman wouldn’t leave her side! He now waits for her every night!) Additionally, her punctuality and reliability show the level of care she possesses for her clients. I wholeheartedly recommend Grace to any family in need of postpartum support. She is an incredible resource, and any family would be beyond lucky to have her by their side during the postpartum journey.

Meet Kamilla Kamilla is a Full Spectrum Doula through Cornerstone Birthwork Training, as well as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) trained through Newborn Care Solutions. With over 5 years of international experience, she is passionate about providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and individualized support to families during the postpartum and newborn period. Born and raised in Brazil in a large, loving family, Kamilla grew up surrounded by caregiving. Inspired by her grandmother, a traditional midwife, she developed a deep connection to newborn care, maternal support, and nurturing practices from an early age. Her passion for postpartum care became even more personal after supporting her own mother through postpartum depression. This experience gave her a deeper understanding of how vulnerable, emotional, and overwhelming the postpartum transition can be. Through her professional experience, she has also supported families navigating baby blues and postpartum depression, always providing compassionate, nonjudgmental support while recognizing when additional professional care may be needed. Kamilla has additional training in Montessori Education, Sleep Training through Summer Secret, and Early Childhood Development. She is currently continuing her education in Breastfeeding Education through CAPPA and pursuing her nursing education to further expand her knowledge of maternal and newborn care. With a background in law and extensive hands-on experience caring for newborns and supporting families, Kamilla brings together professional education, practical experience, and genuine compassion. She understands that postpartum is not always the beautiful, effortless experience portrayed online. It can be exhausting, emotional, unpredictable, and overwhelming. Her goal is to create a calm and supportive environment where parents can rest, recover, bond with their baby, and feel confident in their new role. Kamilla provides individualized support based on each family’s unique needs, with a focus on newborn care, postpartum recovery, sleep support, feeding support, and the emotional well-being of the family. Her philosophy is simple: When we care for the mother, we care for the entire family.

Kamilla was an incredible postpartum doula for our family. Her calm, compassionate support gave us the confidence to navigate those first few weeks with our newborn while also allowing us to get much-needed rest. Based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, I provide compassionate overnight support to families throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, including Philadelphia and its suburbs, as well as Central and Northern New Jersey. I am available to travel within a 90 minute radius and am currently accepting Fall 2026 clients. I am DONA trained, ProDoula certified, hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Brazil, and am currently pursuing my nursing education. Since 2013, I have worked closely with newborns, infants, and families as a professional newborn nanny and postpartum professional, gaining extensive experience in newborn care, feeding support, infant development, and family adjustment. I have a deep passion for supporting families and caring for babies. For me, this work is more than a profession; it is truly fulfilling. I enjoy understanding each family's unique emotions, challenges, and needs, and helping parents find their rhythm so they can have more peaceful days and restful nights. As a postpartum doula, I provide compassionate, evidence informed support tailored to each family's unique needs. I have experience supporting families with newborns, twins, premature infants, NICU graduates, and unique family dynamics, including surrogate siblings born one month apart. My goal is to help parents feel confident, supported, and well rested as they adjust to life with a new baby. Caring for both babies and parents is a true calling for me. I love providing the support, reassurance, and guidance that helps moms and dads feel confident, relaxed, and cared for during the postpartum journey. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a family feel supported, rested, and confident as they settle into their new routine.

Vania is an exceptional doula! She is gentle, loving, understanding, and kind. She worked with us as a team, along with our other night doula, to come up with a plan and make sure our twins would be happy, healthy, and able to sleep through the night by the time she left us. Her communication was wonderful and she provided many additional tips beyond night support, such as products to buy and exercises to do with the babies. We loved our time having her in our home and are so grateful for the skills and tools she worked with the babies on that will continue to help them as they grow!

I have been so lucky to hire Melissa twice as a doula now and I could not recommend her services enough. She is a wonderful advocate for mothers and truly listened to what I needed. She gave me the space to think about what my needs might be and I don’t think I would have known without her there to ask those questions. She helped prep our whole family in a way where I felt so well cared for. For both of the births Melissa was there for, as soon as she walked in I felt a huge sigh of relief. She was there and she had me and my back and I fully trusted her to guide me. We were also fortunate enough to hire her postpartum doulas! We had the pleasure of working with Veronica, Danielle and Bernadette. Everyone brought different outstanding qualities that were a total joy to experience. They went above and beyond to learn about our families needs and fit right in. I trusted all of them with my postpartum care, cooking meals, giving my husband a break and endless sibling entertainment for my bigger kids so I could snuggle in bed with our new baby. I felt so well supported my body was able to heal physically and I could emotionally take space when needed. There was always round the clock care and they were quick to fill our schedule when I quickly realized I needed more support than I had initially intended. I wish all mothers could experience this kind of care.

Eilís Crossen

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Eilís Crossen

20 years of experience

Dia duit, hello! I am Eilís and I am a certified doula and full spectrum birth worker in Philadelphia PA. I have long been drawn to pregnancy and birth, and after the birth of my first baby at 16, I first trained to be a doula in 2005. I apprenticed and assisted with midwives for many years, and am also a trauma-informed social worker, herbalist, yoga teacher, and energy and body worker. I weave my experiences and skill sets together, providing intuitive and tailored physical, informational, educational, mental, emotional, and spiritual supports. I see the role of a doula or monitrice as a steward- someone to tend to and watch over the person, couple, family during labor, birth, and postpartum and providing care and remedies as is fit and called for. Every birth, body, baby is unique and I see it as my role to meet everyone where they're at. Some people need every bell and whistle, some people need their back squeezed for 12 hours, some people need a quiet, confident witness to be present, but hands off. I am here for all of that and everything in between. Outside of birth work, I am a mother to seven and I love to garden, cook, learn Irish, swim in all bodies of water, and overall, just have a good time of it.

Eilís was my birth doula for my first child and I couldn't recommend her more! My husband and I felt comfortable immediately the first time we met with her and she met with us several times pre-natal to talk through what I wanted in my birth experience. She was on-call the weeks around my due date and I felt comfortable texting her when I wasn't sure if my contractions had started. Having her with me during labor was so helpful! She offered counter-pressure, suggested positions, helped me navigate decision-making, and talked me through contractions. It was so helpful to have someone on my team with calm confidence. After my baby was born, Eilís met with me several times, she brought me teas, she talked through my birth experience and offered advice on early parenthood. Truly, I would not want to do this again without her!

Clarissa Alves

Clarissa Alves

3 years of experience

I am Clarissa Alves, a certified doula and the heart behind Mooncradle Matrescence. My philosophy for birth work is rooted in bodily autonomy, informed consent, and deep respect for each family’s lived experience. As an Afro Indigenous mother, born in the Bronx and navigating the maternal healthcare system as a person of color, I understand how systems can fail families, silence intuition, and pathologize normal experiences. My work is grounded in decolonizing birth, honoring ancestral wisdom alongside evidence based care, and creating spaces where people feel seen, protected, and empowered to make choices that are right for them. I believe birth is not something to be controlled, but something to be supported, whether that looks like an unmedicated birth, a cesarean, a VBAC, or postpartum healing. My role is to hold space without judgment, provide honest education, and walk alongside families with compassion, reverence, and unwavering advocacy.

Recent review

Having Clarissa as my doula was truly a once in a lifetime experience! Straight from the beginning, she was there for me throughout my entire pregnancy. Whatever questions I had, she helped me answer. She also helped me create a personalized birth plan step by step. When my water broke, I called her immediately and she was on her way. She showed up with things to decorate my hospital room, as well as pain management items, and a peanut & labor ball. Ambient lighting, oil diffuser, and words of affirmation on cards. These things really helped set the tone for my whole labor. As I progressed, I got good use out of all the pain relief items Clarissa brought. My personal favorite was the TENS machine and comb. Clarissa also made sure to advocate for my wants, needs, and rights as a patient. This truly meant a lot to me, as I feared a hospital birth due to hearing about mistreatment of new mothers who aren’t fully aware of their rights. As I started experiencing more intense pain, Clarissa jumped into action to help with pressure points and positioning my body in a way to ease pain. She helped me with breathing techniques and ways to move my hip on the birthing ball she brought along. All of these things made such a tremendous impact on how beautiful my whole experience was. Clarissa was right there squeezing my hand tight, holding my leg, and cheering me along so I knew I was able to do this. That was the strength I needed. Finally, my daughter was born! Clarissa made sure I got immediate skin-to-skin and a good deep latch to kick off my breastfeeding journey. We both laughed and cried when my daughter came out, it was truly one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had! Throughout my postpartum weeks, Clarissa made sure to check in with me daily as she did when I was pregnant to assure I was doing okay, and to answer any general questions I had about breastfeeding, postpartum care, and being a new mom in general! All her advice was so helpful. Choosing Clarissa as my doula was one of the best decisions I could have made. If you want an individualized experience with someone who is passionate about helping moms, Clarissa is the perfect person for that!

Couldn’t recommend more! My son never slept so when I hired them I was skeptical but now he is 9 months old and in his room and in a crib sleeping through the night!

— Shannon C., review of Crystal Sedore September 2026

I’m beyond grateful for having her as my doula! She supported me every step of the way through my VBAC and made me feel confident, calm, and empowered during labor. Her encouragement and gentle presence meant so much to me. If you’re looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable doula who truly respects your birth wishes, I highly recommend her. Thank you for being such an important part of our birth story! ❤️

— Kamila H., review of Alexandra Leach August 2026

Bethany supported our family as a postpartum doula from the very first night we came home from the hospital. Her expertise, calm nature, and non-judgmental approach was just what our family needed during such a wonderful but difficult transition. We have said multiple times that we could not have gotten through those first few nights and weeks without Bethany. She allowed us to both get much needed sleep, a necessity during the early newborn phase but was also so knowledgeable about all the things you learn as a first time parent, setting up a breast pump, how to manage milk supply, breastfeeding advice, reading your baby’s cues, and what is “normal” and what warrants a call to the pediatrician. She not only cared for our baby with tenderness and warmth but also cared for me as I recovered from birth and managed the roller coaster of postpartum emotions. Bethany shared her experiences and well researched advice, but always made me feel confident to trust my instincts and make all decisions. We would highly recommended Bethany, she was and is a valued part of our birth story, one that was made easier with her depth of experience and extra set of highly intuitive hands.
