Hi there! I’m Stephanie, a birth doula based in Salem, and I’m so excited to support you and your family through this transformative journey. Before stepping into birth work, I spent 11 years as a teacher, working with students from diverse backgrounds. That experience shaped my deep belief in meeting people where they are, adapting my approach to their individual needs, and honoring their personal goals. Birth is not one-size-fits-all, and you deserve support that respects your choices, values, and instincts. Whether you're navigating pregnancy, preparing for birth, or adjusting to life with a new little one, I’m here to provide compassionate care every step of the way. I believe that knowledge is power—especially when it comes to birth. My approach is rooted in evidence-based care, giving you the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions while leaving space for what feels right for you. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, birth center experience, or home birth—with or without medication—I trust you to make the best choices for your body, your pregnancy, and your baby. My role is to provide guidance, reassurance, and continuous support so you can navigate this journey feeling empowered and prepared. I also understand that birth doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it’s an experience that impacts your partner, family, and birth team. That’s why I provide comprehensive support to your entire circle, making sure everyone feels informed, involved, and empowered. Birth isn’t just about the baby—it’s about you, your well-being, and the experience you want to create. Inclusivity and respect are at the heart of my practice. I’m passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and emotional well-being, and I firmly believe that every family deserves the support they need—whether that’s through professional help, community resources, or simply having someone to lean on. I am committed to being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and advocating for anti-racist practices in all aspects of my work. Your family is unique, and I’m here to support you in a way that feels right for you. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll probably find me curled up with a romance or fantasy novel, getting lost in a new crafting project, or tending to my ever-growing collection of plants (and trying to give away new starts I’ve rooted on my windowsill). I also love experimenting with vegetarian and vegan recipes, going on long walks, and enjoying imaginative games with my husband and two kids. No matter how your birth unfolds, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and fully supported. Whether you're loving every moment of pregnancy or just trying to survive it, you don’t have to do it alone. I’d love to walk alongside you on this journey!

As a doula, clinical herbalist, and massage therapist, I walk alongside mothers with a presence that is both gentle and deeply grounded. I believe that healing thrives in environments of trust, tenderness, and nourishment, and I cultivate that space for every family I serve. The fourth trimester is a sacred window of transformation, and my role is to help you move through it with steadiness, warmth, and compassionate support. My philosophy is rooted in honoring your intuition and the ancient wisdom of the body. I offer a holistic blend of postpartum care, therapeutic touch, and plant-based remedies to help soothe the nervous system, reduce tension, and support your full-body healing. Whether preparing nourishing meals, providing bodywork, or simply holding space for your emotions, my intention is always the same: to help you feel seen, supported, and deeply resourced as you settle into life with your baby.

Jennifer was absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend her enough. She is an incredible chef, a knowledgeable herbalist, a skilled masseuse, and truly one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met. We feel so blessed to have found her and for everything she has brought into our lives. As a postpartum doula, she was unbelievably supportive. She helped with the baby, cooked nourishing meals for me, and did light household chores—relieving so much pressure during those early weeks. She meal-prepped any recipe I requested and offered thoughtful suggestions based on where I was in my postpartum journey.  Her herbal remedies were also a game changer. She created custom teas to support when I had low iron and low vitamin D, as well as one one to help with UTIs. Her tinctures are some of the best I’ve ever tasted—smooth rather than harsh. I especially loved the schisandra berry elixir, the lion’s mane elixir, and the cacao reishi elixir. I also used her seasonal oxymel for allergies. Her skincare products are equally amazing; her womb-warming oil and belly balm tallow both smelled incredible and made me feel so cared for. On top of all that, she is a fantastic masseuse. She even taught me a few massage techniques to help break down scar tissue from my emergency cesarean. If you’re looking for a kind, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated doula, Jennifer is your lady!

Hello, my name is Alyx Cucci and I am a certified birthworker living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I have personally experienced a hospital birth, a birth center birth as well as a home birth and although they were all exceptionally different I loved each of them equally. As a birthworker I am a firm believer in the magic that is created by a birthing person and their partner during the entirety of the birth process. I am always grateful to be chosen as a witness to these extraordinary experiences and my ultimate hope is that I am more of a witness than anything else. I work hard to educate and empower a couple before the arrival of their baby so when the time comes, they are able to confidently and comfortably take control of their birth with me their merely as an extra set of hands when needed or sometimes to simply hold space. I also believe that there is a birthworker for everyone. We are not one size fits all and neither are you. And….THATS OKAY. I love chatting with potential clients and seeing if we are a match. Most often we are, and sometimes we are not. Childbirth can make women feel vulnerable and unsure. They need somebody they can completely trust and open up to. Somebody they can feel vulnerable and unsure with. And let’s be honest, sometimes we just done jive with others. I want potential clients to understand that I am just one type of doula. I am open and honest and blunt. I believe in this magic down in the deepest parts of my soul. I am knowledgeable and empowering; I care genuinely for each of my clients but I am not the fit for every woman. Thankfully, if I am not, there is another who is. And I want you to have that birthworker attend your birth and stand witness to your miracle. Lets chat, no hard feelings. 😊

I’m a 24-year-old mom of two spirited girls! When I'm off the clock I love to stay at home with my family and play video games or watch tv with them. My home is always full of epic battles and giggles. Right now the girls fav tv is bluey and k-pop demon hunters. My partner and I love anima. There are way too many great options to pick just one of my favorites! I love to cook for my family. We try to eat new things and expand our menu on a regular basis. I also love to bake bread. My girls and I spend a lot of time doing plant chores together. I mainly plant house plants nowadays but I have had a garden a few times. My oldest has spent too many hours with me doing gardening. When she was little she would sneak past me and eat handfuls of tomatoes and peas almost every day. To this day when they go see their grandma they both try to sneak tomatoes from her garden. We have 2 very different cats. The youngest one is a spastastic and the older one is a calm darkness that doesn't like coming out very often. The youngest one is named Calypso, the girls picked it from the teacher in bluey, The oldest one is named Artemis. When I'm not home I'm an outdoor enthusiast, finding peace near any water source- be it waterfalls, oceans, or rivers. I absolutely love going on hikes even though sometimes my body doesn't. When I start to feel my disability show I just reroute myself to take it slow and steady to get to my goal. Why did I become a Doula? Well when I was younger my family would tell me all the time that I have a kind and caring demeanor., They would tell me stories of how when I was way younger I would watch tv about moms having babies and I never looked away. Honestly when I was presented with the opportunity to become a birthing doula I got so excited. It was something I dreamed about but never thought I would be able to do. I always thought I'd be a labor and delivery nurse or something like it and this was it. I think it's such a beautiful thing having people there to support you when you need it the most. With both my girls I didn't have support and I wish I would have known about doulas. While the nurses were amazing my family had no idea what to do and how to support me. I wish they had that little nudge to help them as well. When I was offered a chance to attend to someone I loves birth, I got to see how the room looks outside of my laboring eyes and I finally understood why my family was lost and confused about how to best support the laboring person . So I've studied and found a community to show me how to help others on the birthing journey. I've attended a birthing doula class and have joined the Doula Love mentor ship to get that continuous support. With that I've decided I want to help others who are new parents, seasons pros, single superheroes and the lgbtq community. This doula adventure has introduced me to a wonderful community and taught me heaps about the miracle of birth. My mission? To make sure you feel heard, seen, and supported, so you can have the birth experience you desire. Everyone deserves that extra sprinkle of support magic!

Birth is a beautiful time for support and connection, and the loving care you receive from your support team is a transformative way to begin the new phase of life that your baby is starting! I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula serving the Corvallis area. I also have my Traditional Healthcare Worker certification and am a member of the Community Doula Program and will be able to bill Medicaid by the end of March. I am nonbinary and welcome trans and gender non-conforming clients and families. I have two young children and have lived experience with prematurity, NICU stays, and pregnancy loss. I have experienced several different birthing situations. Additionally I have personal experience and experience working as a doula for several infants who struggle to feed and gain weight. I grew up in Corvallis and feel deeply connected to the community here. I worked in early childhood education for several years after graduating from UO while also moving around the country, enjoying spending time in both San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX. Both of those cities also allowed me to pursue modern dance which I’ve enjoyed since I was a child! Dancing, yoga, and movement are a huge part of who I am and there’s a deep connect for me between movement and birth work. I find joy, peace, and belonging in movement, building community and sharing the things I love with my children.

I felt so cared for and supported by Heather during my postpartum as a first time mom. Their guidance helped me practically and, more importantly, emotionally, as I navigated becoming a mother. Heather was there for me during my hardest and longest days and nights. Heather is a pillar of strength and support, and full of endless wisdom. They are also well connected in our community, which helped me and my little one connect with professional support like lactation consultants, and also with mom support groups and other families, bringing us into the wonderful world of parenthood surrounded in community.

I'm a former licensed teacher that followed my passion to change my 17 year side job of childbirth education and birth doula work into a full time career. It started with earning my credentials as a childbirth educator from the Seattle Midwifery School and teaching in Portland area hospitals but morphed into doing birth doula work as people I met invited me to be part of their births. I like to say I fell into birth doula work unintentionally, but it ignited a passion to do it all that I could (while raising young children, teaching kindergarten part time, and teaching childbirth prep. WHEW! Those were busy years!) Fast forward to 2022, when I became an empty nester (letting both my scientist and my opera singing daughters fly!) and made the decision to leave the classroom and pursue birth doula work and childbirth education. I hold a Masters Degree in curriculum and instruction, so helping birthing people and their support team learn about birth is a natural and easy process for me. Once I decided to do birth work full time, I pursed further education as a birth doula (which was a review of a TINY part that I learned through childbirth educator training, LOL!) and became DONA certified as a birth doula. Through the years I have been lucky to experience a wide variety of births: medicated, unmedicated, planned and unplanned cesarean, VBAC, and so much more. I have years of experience helping those that birth, with or without neurodivergence and other challenges, find their way to empowerment and joy, no matter how their birth journey unfolds. I pull from a wide range of tools, tricks, and methods to provide what YOU would like your birth to look, sound, and feel like. From Hypnobirthing, breathing, crafting the ideal birthing environment to Spinning babies, position work, and comfort measures (comforting touch, using water & heat, leveraging pleasure for more oxytocin), I actively pursue discovering YOUR magic combination for reduced discomfort, labor length, and stress. I keep the birth space calm, safe, easy-going, compassionate, and positive, so that you can enter parenthood empowered and joyful. I provide individualized education, encouragement, and planning prior to labor, and support during the birth process to take the pressure and stress off of you and your labor support though an experience that can have a bazillion variables and may be alien to you. I keep it simple and as stress free as I possibly can so that you can be fully present and enjoy your prenatal, birth, and postpartum experience.

Having Lori with is on this journey was incredible. As first time parents it was important to us that we had someone by our side who could help us navigate pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I immediately felt at ease with Lori - she offered an non-judgmental but educated approach. When our birth plans hit a snag (breech baby) she not only helped us pivot and prepare for a whole new set of unknowns but she sat with us in the grief that came along with accepting this new journey. I was so grateful to have Lori with us for our ECV and ultimately our c-section. Having her in the OR helped calm both mine and my husbands nerves. We are so grateful for her support throughout the entire process and look forward to working with her again when we decide to try for our second!

I'm Lauren, a birth doula and photographer based in Milwaukie, Oregon, just outside of Portland. I grew up in Delaware, but have lived on the West Coast since 2017. I am a mom to one child, two dogs, and a cat. I love reading, getting outside, and exploring new cities. I love trying out new hobbies: currently, I'm learning how to crochet! I trained through Doula Love Portland's DONA International and OHA Approved program. My practice is trauma-informed, inclusive, and evidence-based. I honor all paths to parenthood and believe that every person deserves compassionate, culturally responsive care during their most vulnerable moments. I believe birth is not just a beginning. It is a continuation of a lineage - of wisdom, of strength, of becoming. I am here to hold space for you to make your own choices while feeling supported, safe, and seen.

Lauren helped us bring our second daughter into this world! What a blessing it was to have her there with us. Her communication and openness helped me feel extremely comfortable with her right from the beginning. Her helping me prepare for my second birth was so important. I was nervous and anxious of the known/unknown. During the birth I was well aware of everything going on! She kept me level headed and had so many ideas on help my labor progress. She helped us stay right on our birth plan, leading to the birth of our daughter. We were so thankful to have Lauren there with us. Her energy was needed and loved. Postpartum meetings were comfortable and needed. Her knowledge has helped me in more ways than one. Thank you so much Lauren. We will call you again when we have our third, she’s such a blessing!
