After many years of soul searching, Stacy created Hold My Heart in an effort to combine her passion for caretaking with her education and experience in business administration. Stacy is trained as a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, reproductive health counselor, and breastfeeding peer counselor through the Community Doulas of South Jersey and Uzazi Village and is in the process of enrolling as a provider through NJ FamilyCare. Stacy loves to be a calming and uplifting presence in the lives of those around her. She also loves to make people laugh. Hello! I'm Zoe Jasper (she/her), a certified birth, postpartum, and community doula living in Philly. My path to birth work started with attending an abortion doula training as a college student, which led me to realize my passion for supporting people through the entire spectrum of pregnancy outcomes. After going on to work as a teacher, nanny, and union organizer, I completed my birth and postpartum training through Maternity Care Coalition’s Community Doula and Lactation Program. My training gave me a strong foundation in community centered and culturally responsive practices. As a queer woman and a doula, I am committed to supporting all kinds of pregnant people and family structures in their unique journeys to becoming parents. I see this work as a necessary intervention in a medical system that all too often dehumanizes birthing parents and neglects the process of informed consent. All parents deserve to feel safe, respected, and affirmed. My goal is always to instill in my clients a sense of their own agency and power. Hello everyone, my name is Fatima! I have been in the birthing world for a little over a year. I would love to say I chose this field, however it chose me! Being 1 or 6 girls, I had been to my fair share of births. I also battled with Postpartum depression, which lead me to doing postpartum work. I’ve serviced many family in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. I am a mother too two! My favorite parts of my work, are being able to assist the families, as they navigate into their new norm!
