Her professional passion is to help all individuals optimize movement, maximize strength & regain autonomy over their life & body. Heather received her Bachelor’s in Creative Arts in Therapy with a concentration in Music from Russell Sage College in 2008. She was certified for pelvic floor evaluation and treatment through Herman and Wallace in 2021. Heather’s personal medical experiences inspired her to the path of becoming a physical therapist. She discovered weight lifting & boxing which she thoroughly enjoys & has been performing for almost 20 & 12 years, respectively. Heather has treated sports & orthopedic injuries as a focus for the majority of her career working with many high school, college, ironman & fitness athletes. She birthed her son in 2016 & realized the lack of care for birthing people & a lack of continuity for those wishing to return to more advanced sports or athletics. She has since become more passionate with working with this specific population. Heather’s personal & continuing educational experiences have enhanced her ability to evaluate & treat the whole person. She works to design a program specifically developed for each patient including a combination of both highly skilled manual therapy techniques & specific guided exercise instruction & programming. She is a wife to Paul, mother to Colton & Ainsley & has a Cavalier King Charles named Maela. Her family likes to hike, camp, play games & travel. They also own ducks & chickens & do a great deal of gardening. Heather has a passion for sustainability. They love experimenting with ways to use scraps whether that be with food or materials.

Breastfeeding Savvy (BFS) is a breastfeeding clinic, emulating a homelike setting, located at 58 Clifton Country Road, Clifton Park, NY, 12065, Suite 106. Our breastfeeding clinic was created to support the postpartum period and optimize the breastfeeding/ pumping dyads journey. Our mission is to provide empathetic and evidenced based support to families in the community. To ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of both the breastfeeding/pumping patients as well as the safety of the neonate. We follow AAP guidelines as well as ABM protocols. We believe it is essential to provide breastfeeding/pumping education and support to the entire family (partners, siblings, grandparents etc.) to ensure the most enjoyable and safe feeding journey obtainable. We devise an individual feeding plan based on a mothers breastfeeding goal, while making priority that this goal is safe and conducive to infants physiological and psychological development. We work closely with other health care professionals such as fellow lactation consultants, nurse practitioners, family practitioners, pediatricians, midwives, obstetricians and pediatric dentists to ensure optimal outcomes. We offer the postpartum community a safe haven for breastfeeding/chest feeding mothers to gather and connect with one another via support groups, individual consults and virtual consults. We also offer breastfeeding classes antenatally as well as CPR classes.

Hi, I’m Christine Hernandez — a doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor based in the Capital District. I’m passionate about supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey with evidence-based education and compassionate care. Alongside my work with parents, I also run Broadway Coffee Co. in Saratoga Springs, a community space created to caffeinate and connect new moms. I believe that no one should have to navigate new parenthood alone — and I love helping families feel supported, confident, and cared for as they grow.

We hired Christine to be our doula for the birth of our first child. She was an asset to both me, and my husband. She helped me feel prepared going into birth, and she helped my husband remain confident during. She’s funny, she’s knowledgeable, and she just brings a sense of ease into the unknown of birth. 10/10 recommend. We will use her again for all future births.

Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant with a master's degree in public health and Certificate in Maternal and Child Health. I have over 15 years of experienced working in the field of lactation, and currently work in the hospital, NICU and a birthing center setting. As a mom of two breastfed children, I am well acquainted with the many struggles and challenges that can occur when trying to meet breastfeeding goals, such as lip ties, low milk supply, latch issues, food allergies, sleep deprivation and postpartum anxiety. Despite all these challenges, I fought to meet my breastfeeding goals and would love to support you as you work to meet yours! As evidence proves, the more support a woman has in her breastfeeding journey, the easier the journey becomes. So, Whole Family Lactation encourages just that, WHOLE family consulting. If desired, partners, grandparents, aunts, and children are all welcome to attend consults, as their knowledge and daily support will help guide and encourage the breastfeeding parent through the ups and downs of infant feeding and care.

We fear labor and birth because it is unknown. Im here to educate, empower and support you throughout your pregnancy and labour using evidence based techniques and indigenous wisdom. If Doulas were a pill, every pregnant person would get one. Numerous Studies across the globe prove that that people who received continuous support were more likely to have spontaneous vaginal births and less likely to have any pain medication, epidurals, negative feelings about childbirth, vacuum or forceps-assisted births, and Cesareans. For this reason, doulas in the USA are in high demand because of their ability to lower the cost of birth by tens of thousands of dollars. In addition, doula assisted pregnant people's labors were shorter by about 40 minutes.

Dayle came in last minute when our original doula could not make it, and she was an absolute blessing! She had everything my wife needed and asked for in her doula bag, ready to go, at her service. She has warmth, a sense of play, and is skilled in breath work and other techniques that helped my wife through her natural birth (no drugs!). highly recommend.

Hi. My name is Erica, I am 35 and a mother of four. I became certified as a holistic doula in June 2024. I was lucky to have a doula for the birth of my first son and knew this was my calling. I advocate for all mothers decisions either natural births or medicated, and push for nurses and doctors to follow birthing plans to the best of their ability. I myself had three natural births and one c-section. I assist with any needs from pain management to help with breastfeeding. I am here to be the voice for mothers and babies during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum.

Hi, I'm Lindsey! I'm newer to the doula community working towards certification. I made the transition to doula care from being a nurse. I practiced in reproductive health, family medicine, and pediatric care. I have spent the last few years absorbing everything I can get my hands on related to birth and go about my day listening to my favorite podcasts- all of them about birth maybe a few conspiracy shows too. I take a fairly natural approach to my life and my personal health but I understand that that is not an easy or sustainable choice for everyone. I completed my doula training with DONA International, as well as child birth and lactation education. I seize every opportunity I have to attend classes to further my education in all health related fields. In the summer I spend my free time kayaking or gardening and in the colder months I hand stitch quilts! I look forward to getting to know you, your family, and understanding your values surrounding your pregnancy and birth so that I can be a strong asset and advocate for you- I want your birth experience to be everything you may hope, pray, and dream of!

Mostly overnight postpartum doula who also offers first trimester, virtual and lactation care. My philosophy is that we are there to support mom and baby while allowing them the space to grow to independence; my goal is to leave a family with all questions answered and support in a way that promotes confidence when I am gone. I homeschool, have 3 children (one who I am currently nursing,) have experienced formula and breastmilk feedings, as well as hospital and home birth. I believe my biggest asset is my well-rounded, real-life experience that is still relevant today.

Hello everyone! my name is Amanda, & I have been working in childcare for over 5 years. I obtained my associate degree in early childhood education in 2021 and my doula certifications through the International Doula Institute in 2023. I have worked in various environments including an in-home daycare, a childcare center, and the homes of personal nanny clients. I chose to pursue doula work because of my innate drive to support others and provide the needed assistance to empower families in their abilities. I am beginning to create and grow my doula business and I look forward to connecting with families around my community! I have a calm and reserved personality type which allows space for everyone to be seen and heard. Outside of doula work, I enjoy working on sewing projects, home improvements, and visiting with family!
