When I first started in the business of helping people I worked as an alcohol and drug counselor at a residential treatment facility. I worked with and guided people from very diverse backgrounds. That work has directly applied to my ability to effectively communicate with and support others. After my time as a counselor I co-founded and currently co-own a personal training business that specializes in training folks who are pregnant and postpartum. Becoming a doula seemed like a natural next step as an extension of what I'm already passionate about doing: helping and empowering people.

I have been an IBCLC for over 7 years, with experience in a hospital setting. I have done in home independent consulting with families for the past 3 years as well. I am also a post-partum RN (BSN) with over 25 years experience. My goal is to make breastfeeding goals and plans with you that create success for you and baby.

I believe that every person deserves unbiased support during their pregnancy journey, and that is precisely what I provide as a Doula. Hi! I live in Springfield Oregon and I’m a mom of 4 and grandma of 2. I’ve wanted to be a doula since before I even knew the name of what the job was. I had assumed you needed a degree and/or medical training to be a birth advocate and as soon I found out exactly how to become a doula I did! I completed my doula and postpartum training in April 2024 through SMC Doulas in Portland and it was a wonderful experience! I was a 20 year old single mom when I had my oldest daughter and I birthed alone, just myself, the nurse and my dr and it was an experience that I never wanted to repeat or have anyone I knew have. I will support you, advocate with you for your needs and desires and be there as little or as much as you need. I will also be there for you postpartum holding your baby so you can shower, washing laundry, doing dishes, making meals, you tell me what you need and I can accommodate you. I can meet with you virtually over zoom or in person. My goal is to keep my doula business small and basically be on call when you need me taking only a couple clients at a time. If you wake up at 3am and need to talk I can accommodate that. Being pregnant, giving birth, having a newborn and being a brand new parent all can be anxiety producing and at the same the happiest times of your life! I understand that completely!!

Hola! I’m Micaela López, a doula with over 7 years of experience walking alongside families on their sacred birthing journey. Before stepping into birth work, I spent 15 years as an educator in both public and private schools. In 2018, I followed the call of my soul into the path of birth and trained as a birth doula with Doula Love in Portland. Since then, I’ve deepened my practice through midwifery assistant training with the Center for Indigenous Midwifery in Washington and a transformative year-long apprenticeship with midwife Cosima. These experiences have gifted me both modern and ancestral tools to support women with presence, compassion, and care during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My name is Aly, and I'm a registered nurse and Board Certified Lactation ​Consultant. I feel strongly about helping new parents navigate the ​challenges of feeding their baby with confidence, education, and joy. I ​want to help you achieve your feeding goals in a way that works for ​YOU! My journey began as a birth photographer and continued as I became a ​labor and delivery nurse. Through my own struggles with breastfeeding, ​I found my passion in lactation consulting. My love for breastfeeding and ​birth work grew from there; I became a Certified Lactation Counselor ​(CLC) and then furthering my education and experience, became an ​Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). When I'm not supporting new parents with feeding their babies, I enjoy ​playing with my two kids, Nixon and Roman and spending time with my ​husband, Ryan, and our family. In May of 2022 Camille became a certified Labor Doula and then added a certification in Postpartum and Infant Care in February of 2023. She is excited to be living her dream of supporting mamas and their families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as a doula. My love of childbirth was ignited after the birth of my first daughter.  I was blessed with continuous support during my own birth experience and knowing the difference it made for me, I was inspired to be a part of a community of women helping each other through the most transformative and empowering moment of their lives.  My journey began focused on midwifery; however, after learning of doula work and the direct, personal impact it can have on a woman’s birth story, I knew this path was a better fit for me.  As a student of Mother Tree Birth Services, I completed a DONA approved birth doula training in 2014, followed by a 6-month intensive birth doula internship. I support all types of birth in all settings. I’m trained in Hypnobirth, the Mongan Method as well as traditional natural birth methods in addition to planned epidural birth. I will support your choices as if they were my own.
