Hey there! My name is Jaelle and I am a Certified Community Health Worker, Certified Community-Based Doula, and Certified Holistic Birth Doula with training in postpartum care, perinatal loss, and abortion support in the Metro Detroit area. Caregiving has been my purpose and passion since I was old enough to do so, working in many capacities, including nannying, mentorship, elder support, elementary school teaching, and more. I became a doula before I had my first child, and after going through childbirth myself, I know even deeper how important birthwork truly is. I strive for inclusivity and work with those of all backgrounds and abilities. I am always looking to learn and provide more education, resources, and support. I am a mother, partner, birthworker, writer, singer, artist, educator, and so much more! I can’t wait to utilize my gifts to support you!

I'm Stephanie with Gentle Birthing, and my interest in birth work was awakened the day my first child was born in 2010 at home, surrounded by our midwife and birthing team. It was at that point I realized that more women need to know their birthing options. We had 4 more home water births in South Carolina before returning to Southeast Michigan where we welcomed our 6th child at home in 2020. I enjoy learning about the physiology of pregnancy and the process of giving birth and am fascinated with all the different natural coping techniques for pain management. With each of my own births, I implemented something new I had learned along the way. I hope to support expecting mothers in the ways I have received encouragement and support from the birth workers in my life. Their support changed the way I thought about birth and what I was capable of doing.

Stephanie was a great help to us as we prepared for the arrival of our fourth baby and during delivery as well.

Having Katy is a gift and privilege for any birthing parents, and I'd recommend her services whole-heartedly. There are the typical things you'd expect when working with a doula - education, emotional support, evidence-based knowledge - but it's the intangibles that sets Katy apart. She is kind and thoughtful, and is so generous with her time and support. She is intentional on how she prepares you in the weeks and months leading up to your due date, and equips you with knowledge to build a base of confidence to draw from during labor and birth. Her steadfast resolution to be your advocate, and her unconditional support is absolutely priceless. Our three births were each very different (C-section, VBAC, C-section), and Katy was instrumental and essential to each. Katy remained a true partner and advocated for how we wanted to bring our children into the world.

I’m Cameasha. I support moms to take control of their pregnancy and birth to amplify their voice, feel confident in your plan and empowered in your journey. I am a Mom of 4 small ones. The youngest is 12 months. I am human just like you. Mommying is hard work and I am not above doing what I am telling you. It has actually not just changed my life but the quality of my life. Before I began prioritizing me, and working on my wellbeing, I felt like the whole world was closing in on me and no one cared. So I became a doula so moms would not geel that way. The expectations placed on moms is both flattering and irrational. So sometimes we are not heard. I am here to help you be heard and informed. Birth and pregnancy is an amazing thing but it can also be stressful without the right support and information to hold space and do exactly what you WANT. Not be gaslit or coerced into something you don't. Having an advocate that is there for YOU to support you. I started Strength of A Mommy to emphasize how moms are strong mentally, physically, and emotionally but we are not always superwoman, we are human. I wanted to also support moms to focus on their Mental and Physical Fitness prioritizing their health and putting themselves first. I believe in and focus on a whole person approach. Starting with mental fitness, physical fitness and emotional fitness. I have a Master’s in Forensic Psychology focusing on behavior, I am also a certified Personal trainer credentialed in nutrition, prenatal fitness and prenatal yoga to be able to offer mental, emotional, and physical well being for the mommies I serve.. I became a doula because I wanted to serve moms from the start supporting them to build their voice feeling empowered/strong from the beginning. I began my journey of being a Doula because of my pregnancy and birth experiences. They were good, bad, wonderful, and ugly. It was joyful and stressful all in one. In those moments where I felt low, fear, and defeated… it would have been amazing to have support and advocacy. So breathe mommy, I understand and I am here for you. My goal is to help as many moms as possible to never feel unsupported, overwhelmed, stuck, or alone. That feeling sucked. You are a mommy, but you are so much more and I am ready to support you how you need it.

I’m Anne Fleming, a doula serving women across Metro Detroit with dedicated support during both labor and the postpartum period. I’m passionate about walking alongside women and their families during this important season, offering physical and emotional care that helps them feel confident and supported. Whether I’m providing comfort measures during labor or nurturing mothers in the early weeks after birth, my goal is to create a calm, reassuring presence and offer encouragement every step of the way. It’s my joy to help women feel empowered and cared for as they welcome new life into their families.

Recent review

I didn’t meet Annie until I was about 35 weeks pregnant, but from the very beginning, she made me feel completely supported and at ease. Even though we connected late in my pregnancy, she jumped right in with warmth, knowledge, and encouragement that made it feel like she'd been part of my journey all along. When I went into labor, Annie came exactly when I needed her. She met us at the hospital and was an absolute rock throughout the entire process. Her presence was calming, grounding, and so reassuring. She knew just what to say and do to help me stay focused and confident, and she worked beautifully alongside the hospital staff while always prioritizing my comfort and wishes. Having Annie by my side made such a difference. She helped create a birth experience that felt empowering and supported — I truly can’t imagine going through it without her. Thank you, Annie, for being there when I needed you most and for bringing so much care and strength into such an important moment in my life.

Hi, my name is Aliyah! I’m a birth and postpartum doula and the owner of Comfort Hands Birth Support. My goal is to support mothers through every stage of their journey — from pregnancy to postpartum — with compassion, education, and reassurance. I believe every woman deserves to feel empowered, heard, and cared for during birth.

Recent review

With the anxiety of my last three births plaguing me, I knew I needed a different kind of support. Something needed to change this time. Aliyah as my support was the exact change I needed to have a birthing experience that I could look back on and smile. She was there during my pregnancy and there during labor. She reminded me of my wishes and helped me stay focused and follow through. It was so strange having such a beautiful experience in something that people often described as traumatic and horrific. Her presence helped me stay centered and created a wonderful memory.

Hi! My name is Alyssa I am a birth doula and living in southeast Michigan. I have always loved babies, caring for my friends, and giving my all and helping whenever they are pregnant, postpartum, or simply raising their families. I have always enjoyed being able to offer acts of service and support to others, and becoming a doula has helped me embrace this love language in so many new ways I never knew possible. With becoming a doula, my goal is to help support new families and moms by emotionally and physically supporting them through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Advocating for them with knowledge, and helping them make thought out decisions when needed in labor. I want to help every mom take back their birth and make it an experience they love to talk about and remember. As said in Isaiah chapter 66, verse 13, “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you.” My goal as a doula is to hold the mother through every stage and be there for her and her family.

Recent review

Alyssa was so supportive during my pregnancy and is still holding me up through post-partum and the newborn trenches. I was so thankful for her continued support during my labor when midwife and nurse shifts would change, she was a constant. I don’t think that my labor experience would have been as positive or would have gone as smoothly without Alyssa there to support me and my husband. I feel so appreciative of her support through this time in my life and I can honestly say that I gained a friend. 11/10 would recommend Alyssa to be your doula.
