My husband and I genuinely would not have been able to do this without her. Cavelle began working in our family in June 2021 taking care of our 6 day-old boy/girl twins for 8 weeks. “Taking care” is a very passive phrase to explain what Cavelle does. Because of the way Cavelle structured and implemented our bedtime routine, our newborn twins were able to sleep in 8 hour stretches in the night by 6 weeks. I cannot emphasize enough how Cavelle’s care for the twins allowed for them to thrive and develop in their early weeks. To demonstrate Cavelle’s wealth of knowledge and expertise, when we faced medical issues or questions, our pediatrician always echoed Cavelle’s first given advice and plan of care. Thanks to Cavelle’s incredible work ethic and multi-tasking style, my husband and I were able to not only get sleep at night and be fully functioning during the day (which is unheard of for newborn parents) but also easily enjoy the luxury of one-on-one time out of the house because we knew that the twins were under the best care with no interruption in their routine. Cavelle provided guidance at every aspect of the newborn journey from breastfeeding, pumping, and breast care, to accompanying trips to the pediatrician, to soothing techniques and differentiating each type of cry for each baby. Booking Donnette’s postpartum doula services is one of the best decisions we have made as parents to our baby. Donnette is incredibly knowledgeable and has a calm, friendly presence that was simply a pleasure to have in our home. Leeann joined our family as a Newborn Care Specialist right when our daughter came home from the hospital and quickly became part of our family. I had originally booked her for 6 weeks, mostly nights only, but she was so incredible that I extended her care to 24 hours, 6 days a week for a full 12 weeks. We are first time parents who had no idea what we were doing, but Leeann stepped in and taught us everything in a way that was non-intrusive and respectful. From sleep schedules, to feeding, to baby's development - Leeann is a true expert in all things newborn. She is also very professional and has a website and LLC for her company. What I loved most about Leeann is the way she cared for our daughter. She treated her like she was her own and was so warm and loving from day 1. As weeks went on, it was amazing to see how engaging she was, taking her on walks, reading to her daily, recommending we get certain toys to help with our baby's development. I would keep Leeann forever if I could. While we're sad to see her go (we're transitioning to a nanny once we go back to work), we would love to help her find an amazing family. I can't say enough great things about Jossy. We hired her as our postpartum doula for the first six weeks following the birth of my son. From the moment I first spoke with her, I was drawn to her easygoing attitude and comforting nature - I spoke with a number of doulas, and Jossy was the one I felt most at ease with. The conversation flowed naturally, and it was immediately clear how much she loves being a doula. Even though Jossy was only helping us with postpartum care, she was so sweet in sending regular check-ins leading up to my due date and giving tips and suggestions for issues I was dealing with. She quickly felt like a friend I could confide in and joke around with, which made all the difference in the first few weeks of postpartum. Curbeth Tappin helped my family. Curbeth was the postpartum doula for my sister a few years before I got pregnant with my 4th child. My sister recommended that I hire her because of how much she helped her with her daughter. Curbeth came into my home after my son’s birth and had the nursery completely organized. She assisted me to acclimate the older children with the new baby. She allowed me to rest while she took care of my son. Although I had 3 other children this time breastfeeding was a bit of a struggle. Curbeth provided lactation support as well as emotional support, which I needed to get through that difficult period. She stayed and worked with my family for 3 month. A couple months later i found out I was pregnant with my 5th and last child. Curbeth returned and provided the same amazing support she provided the first time. Having 2 child under 2 years old was a very difficult, but Curbeth made this so much easier. We hired Cecilia to help with overnights 3 times week for our newborn baby boy. She helped for about 7 weeks. She was very prompt and arrived on time.
