Thank you for taking a minute to learn more about me! My name is Cari Walters. After an eight year battle with infertility, including a full year of testing, medications, and numerous hospital visits, I started my own mom Journey. My husband was deployed to Iraq for the birth of our first child. I would have been all alone if it wasn’t for the close-knit military wives (and occasionally my mom who lived out of state) that encircled me during this precious time. If it wasn’t for these women loving on me and advising me before, during, and after my birth, I know it would not have been such a positive experience. I knew at once that I wanted to support and love other moms in the same manner. I started out supporting new moms by being a part of a group called MOPS. My husband returned from war and shortly after we were blessed with a second baby without all the fertility trials. I continued working with moms through the MOPS organization as we moved across the country to Colorado. It was there that I met a beautiful friend and fellow MOPS mentor who introduced me to being a doula. In 2020, after taking the 200hr course with 75hrs of clinical work I began my journey as a full spectrum doula. I absolutely love birth and postpartum work but quickly learned that I really shined on the postpartum side of birth work. I concentrated on obtaining my Newborn Care Specialist certification and Sleep Guide Certification to improve and round out my skills as a postpartum doula.

I am a Perinatal Doula, wife, mother of four children two in which are a set of twins! I enjoy laughter, drives, cozy clothes and supporting women through there motherhood journeys. My goal is for every mother to go into motherhood with as much education as possible regarding birth, support during the process and after. I believe no mom should walk this journey alone. I have had the honor in carrying four pregnancies two singletons two sets of twins with one set being in heaven. That is what inspired me to become a doula. I saw a need after my births that other mom to be's need the support system, education, awareness, and over all experience a doula carries. I am a perinatal Doula supporting women at the time or pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I enjoy uplifting, encouraging, and walking alongside women as they embark on the journey to and through motherhood. Being their advocate, support, cheerleader along the way brings me joy. Hi- Im Kate! I have been babysitting since I was 12 (I started with new born twins!!) and have sat for different families since. I have helped with twins, triplets and have watched over children from the age of a few days to teens. I was a career nanny for over 10 years working for many profession families (including NFL players!) before having my own children (they are 4 and 2 now!). I love working with new families and am look forward to working nights, weekends, overnights and for travel. While I am working on my newborn care specialist training, I am very interested in working with families with newborns for overnights as a night nurse or extra help on weekends or evenings.
