My hopes are to be able to change positions, use birth ball, distractions and possibly hypno birthing techniques to stay as calm and comfortable for everyone during this process. I am ever excited about my first birth and am visualizing a magical experience. We plan to deliver at Collingwood hospital. We live in cookstown, it’s an hour and 25mins away. My in-laws live near by the hospital in Wasaga beach. We have discussed staying with them as it gets closer to go time. Best case scenario is going through early labour in the comfort of a home environment until it’s time to go to the hospital. As a first time mom I'm looking for someone to help support and educate me in my first labour so that I can have the best birth experience possible. I'll be having a hospital birth and would love to try an unmedicated birth if possible.

Hi there, my name is Jenny- may I am a single mama to soon to be 5 children. I’m currently 17 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my 5th baby and moving to the Cobourg area. I have been having the hardest time finding a midwife that has availability to assist me with my planned home birth ( waitlisted everywhere) or not in the catchment. I have spoke with some other doulas and friends and have decided that I’m open to an unassisted home birth if necessary. It had come to my attention that there is a term called Traditional Birth Assistants who are not medical professionals but perhaps have more experience with the birth process. It is my understanding that these Birth assistants are typically found by word of mouth. I was wondering if you had any knowledge of anyone practicing this in the Cobourg or surrounding areas?

Id like lots of support during pregnancy. I have extrem morning sickness and sever depression anxiety. Second pregnancy. I plan to give birth at hospital. Last time was a bit much almost c cection. Id just like some guidance too during pregnancy

I plan to give birth in the hospital. My estimated budget is around $2000 but want help once or twice a week for overnights for a few months.

I know I would love no epidural but due to my conditions and high case of c-section I would need to. I would love natural delivery again high chance of c-section. I was told by doctor due to my health OB/GYN is more recommended then midwife but stated a doula would be a good consideration.
