Sandy draws on her experiences in witnessing and assisting in many family members’ birth of their children for more than 20+ years. As an empty nester, she explored other ways to help families in Lancaster and surrounding counties and becoming a doula was one of them. Her experiences in advocacy and empowerment will allow her to help women build confidence in one of the most life-changing and sometimes the most uncharted moments in their lives. I am honored to share this space with you as a doula, supporting women through hormonal health, fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. My passion for menstrual health began over a decade ago during my senior year of nursing school. I pushed my body to its limits with early mornings, long days, and too much coffee, until symptoms like deep cystic acne and debilitating cramps forced me to listen. I sought out a practitioner who helped me understand my body and its messages, empowering me to heal myself. I went on to study plant medicine, the nervous system, and energy work, earning a master’s in clinical herbalism. In 2021, I moved to a cottage, creating medicinal gardens and deepening my connection with the natural world. The garden taught me how the body mirrors the larger cycles of life, and I now work intuitively with plants, creating teas for the women I support. That same year, I started a relationship that further refined my understanding of emotions and cyclical health.
