My name is Celeste Pegues and I have been a full spectrum doula for 9 years. My Doula philosophy is that childbirth is opening the portal of healing transformation for yourself, your new family and your ancestral lineage. As a doula, I know the importance of holding space for both the physical and spiritual changes of pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Not only am I here to support and help you advocate for yourself, your family and any pregnancy discourse and outcomes you choose, but to also help naturally encourage the spiritual and healing medicine of this transitional period in your life. It would be an honor to have the opportunity to share this time with you. I will work to support you to birth in awareness and having a transformative and healing postpartum experience, where you feel confident, informed, and surrounded with care, love and respect.

As a doula my goal is to help you realize your vision for a successful birth, to hold up the light so that you can better walk the path you choose on this journey. My wide ranging experience in birth settings has taught me that every birth is unique and that when parents feel informed and supported by their care team they are able to experience birth as a joyful and peaceful experience whether all goes to plan or not. I have been DONA certified for 3 years and in that time have attended over 100 births in all birth settings and worked though a wide range of birth scenarios. I am a very hands-on doula as I love to study and understand the physiology of labor. I study Spinning babies, massage and rebozo techniques as well as breathing and hypnobirthing and bring these skills as tools to use in the process of labor. Growing up I lived in a small progressive hippy community where birth was very much seen as a part of life. The local midwife lived next door and her stories and approach to what she did raised me to see birth as a symptom of health and that birthing people should always have constant loving support during labor. I have wanted to work in birth for as long as I can remember and I believe wholeheartedly in the doula model of care. Now that my own 2 children are older I have jumped into the birth world with both feet and am passionately committed to my calling.

I am a DONA International Certified Birth Doula, Registered Nurse and Medicaid provider. I believe everyone deserves a doula who wants one and that knowledge is power! I chose the name “Cherished Child” because I’ve done a lot of work with trauma, C-PTSD, codependency and generational hurts and believe that your inner child is just as deserving of love and support as the new child you are bringing Earth-side. I believe that vulnerability is strength… and birth can and will make us vulnerable! Together, we can create an empowering and positive birth experience… one that you will love talking about for decades!

Hi there, my name is DiAndra Espinoza and I am a Postpartum Doula in Lafayette, CO and surrounding areas. As a newborn/infant/toddler nanny for four years, I realized that my passion is not only in helping new humans grow but also in providing support for new parents. My practice emphasizes empowerment, confidence and quality care for the postpartum months. I strive to not only ensure that baby is on track but that moms (and dads) alike are able to recover and get started on their new normal. It's important to me that the joy of birth transfers to the joy of parenthood.

Greetings! I'm Karisa Totah, a certified birth doula and postpartum doula (through DONA International). I'm also Spinning Babies trained and a Body Ready Method certified Pro. I live in Littleton, CO with my husband, near my best friend and her babies. I serve the Denver Metro area, usually within 25 miles of my home. Birth, babies, and parenting have been a life-long fascination of mine, even since I was little. I nerd-out over the smallest baby and birth details and absolutely adore helping and learning from each new family I meet. I firmly believe that both the research and my experience support the idea that doulas reduce anxiety. The birthing year can be such a stressful one if you don't know what to expect, don't have the support you need, and don't have people watching out for you. I love filling in the gap to educate and empower, support and love, encourage and help you find joy in this journey. My motto is: "Replacing anxiety with courage, fear with knowledge, discouragement with hope, and overwhelm with joy."

My name is Lyssa Zawalski, and I am a postpartum doula undergoing certification with DONA. My path towards becoming a postpartum doula was a winding one, with stops along the way as a teacher, social worker, and product manager. While I have found a depth to each of these titles, becoming a postpartum doula has felt like so much more. Quickly after giving birth to my daughter, I realized that I was underprepared and undereducated on what came next. Postpartum was filled with navigating solo parenting, PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders), and lack of a “village.” Once enough time had passed and I could more objectively look back at my postpartum period, the most glaring observation was that I had desperately needed help. I needed support in understanding how to feed my baby, what infant sleep looked like, how to find ways to take care of myself (which felt impossible at times). Having a postpartum doula would have changed my postpartum experience as well as the early years of parenthood. I cannot imagine a more tender time to support a family. I truly believe the care and support that we receive in our postpartum period determines so much of how we start our parenting journeys. Thank you for being here, and thank you for trusting me with the most precious pieces of your heart.

Hi! I’m Claire Kagan: a yoga teacher, birth doula, and Ayurvedic postpartum doula with a background in Social Work (LMSW) and a holistic mindset around health, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I love serving clients virtually, but I also serve clients in-person in the Denver and Boulder areas of Colorado. I always say that I like to think of a doula as a birth-focused social worker! I bring in my background as a social worker and skills as a doula to provide education around the birth process, empower you to be your own self-advocate, and work with you to make sure that all of your needs are met and your wishes are honored, before, during, and after birth. I’ll create an ambiance that keeps you comfortable during labor with candles, lighting, music, essential oils, massage, breath, meditation, and movement. As the oldest sibling in my family, nurturing has always come naturally to me, lending me to become a birth doula. Certified by the Colorado Birth and Wellness Center, I am passionate about quality care and education during pregnancy and labor. I utilize evidence-based practices and techniques like Gilligan's Guide*, words of affirmation, and physical touch to support your birth. My role is to advocate, educate and encourage families, wherever and however they choose to deliver. Let's work together to make your birth experience a treasured one. *"Gilligan’s Guide is an algorithm (a graphic chart that is easy to follow) which assists the pregnant person’s body to rotate their unborn infant into the optimal or best position for birth. We refer to this as “Maternal Positioning for Optimal Fetal Positioning”. It is safe, simple and efficient for everyone to use." It is proven to reduce laboring time so that you can have a positive birth experience.
