I’m Franciska Farkas, a Board Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, Certified Full Spectrum Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, integrative pelvic floor specialist, and Yoga, meditation, and breath work teacher of over 20 years. I serve clients in and out of hospital and provide fertility, pregnancy, labor, and postpartum support. My doula practice is grounded in evidence-based research as well as traditional practices from Ayurveda, the holistic medicine system of India. Bringing a baby into your life can be a beautiful yet, overwhelming experience. I would describe myself as a dedicated and passionate birth and postpartum doula with a background in student midwifery and student nursing. With a calling in my heart from a young age, my journey began when I attended Washington Adventist University to study BS nursing in 2013. During my studies, I discovered a missionary school that offered a doula certificate program and Midwifery course, which sparked my interest and led me to pursue my true passion. My commitment to my calling led me to complete the requirements for the childbirth educator certificate at a birthing center in Texas. Thereafter I embarked on a two-year internship at Nova Birth Center as a student midwife, where I gained invaluable experience attending over 300 births and working as a doula, postpartum doula, and birth assistant.
