I plan to give birth in my home, and have a water tub available. I do not have a budget. I want my birth to be in my living room, with a warm tub of water available. I want to be able to go into any position I feel is needed. I would like delayed cord clamping, and no vaccines or shots of any sorts after baby is born, and to keep the vernix caseosa on after birth for at least 24 hours. I would like my husband to be there, and possibly my mother, along with a midwife and a doula. I would like some music, and support from everyone in the room. if a medical emergency were to happen, there is a fire station across the street, and hospital is 10-15 minutes away. This is my first pregnancy, and I would love a happy and safe home birth. I am still actively researching.

My OB says there is a 20% chance she'll be in the room for delivery, apparently that's average. I want someone in the room who is there to uphold my wishes and birth plan. I want a natural birth. I funny want to clamp the cord until it spots pulsing. I'm on the fence about vitamin k. I don't want my baby to be bathed right away, or taken from me. I don't consent to the eye treatment they put on baby, or any vaccines. I need to know there is someone advocating for these choices, and am looking for someone to help me bring our baby into the world who will respect my faith and those choices

Hey there, My wife Michelle and I are looking for a birth and postpartum doula to support the birth of our first child. My wife is of Filipino descent, but was raised in Austria and I am German. We’ve been living in the US for 3 years, but don’t have any family support around so we look forward to getting some helping hands during the birth of our child. Michelle is going to be giving birth in the Swedish First Hill Hospital and is in primary care with the Swedish First Hill Midwifery. Provide your estimated budget - 2000-3000 Describe your birth plan - natural birth, no interventions if possible Describe your requirements for the provider (certification, number of years experience, second language spoken) - no strict requirements, but we are looking for someone with experience Thank you! - Planning to give birth in hospital at Providence in Everett. - We are hoping to use AppleHealth/Medicaid, which I have for the duration of pregnancy. - This is my second pregnancy and birth. Our first child was delivered via unplanned c-section at 41 weeks after induction. I would like TOLAC if prior to 42 weeks or a planned c-section at 41/42 weeks. - We had a great doula for our first delivery - her words and presence carried me through some tough moments in labor and before. I didn't know if that was something I wanted again, but the closer I get to the date, the more I want a sense of affirmation of my intuition, self-advocacy and support as we navigate the medical system.
