With a calling in my heart from a young age, my journey began when I attended Washington Adventist University to study BS nursing in 2013. During my studies, I discovered a missionary school that offered a doula certificate program and Midwifery course, which sparked my interest and led me to pursue my true passion. My commitment to my calling led me to complete the requirements for the childbirth educator certificate at a birthing center in Texas. Thereafter I embarked on a two-year internship at Nova Birth Center as a student midwife, where I gained invaluable experience attending over 300 births and working as a doula, postpartum doula, and birth assistant. It has been my experience in this line of work that it is such a special working with the family after the baby comes. These formative weeks are a treasure that I enjoy being a part of. I have been through three pregnancies myself and have walked alongside many friends and family members journeys. I live in the tranquil countryside of Northern NJ, about 5 minutes away from the borders of Upstate NY and PA and only 90 minutes away from NYC! My husband of 10 years and myself were born and raised in Sussex County. We love where we live as it is quiet, beautiful, and allows us to continue our dreams of one day having our own homestead. We look forward to raising our three beautiful children here as well. As a collegiate business major and previous elementary/middle school educator, communication, organization, learning, and teaching are very important to me.
