After enjoying that field for many years I wanted to specialize in OB/GYN sonography. Plans were put on hold as I welcomed my blessing. During my pregnancy I took all sorts of classes to prepare for birth, but, when it came to the hospital, things didn’t go as planned and I was stripped from my birth rights ! My journey into this work began in a deeply personal way—witnessing birth as a child, I was struck by how powerful, raw, and transformative it was. That early experience stayed with me and ultimately led me down the path of midwifery. Years later, I went on to have my own home birth with my daughter in 2009—an experience that further rooted my belief in the body’s innate wisdom and the importance of feeling safe, supported, and truly seen during birth. I went on to train as a traditionally trained midwife (CPM, LM), working hands-on with families across California and building a strong clinical and intuitive foundation in the midwifery model of care—one that honors pregnancy and birth as physiologic, sacred, and deeply human experiences.
