I’m a passionate and experienced parent who knows firsthand how magical - and sometimes overwhelming the newborn stage can be. I had a doula for my own births, and that experience opened my eyes to just how beautiful and capable the human body is. I’ve always been drawn to the process of birth and early parenting, and I’ve loved every stage of being a mom, from breastfeeding all of my babies to babywearing, co-sleeping, and fully embracing the joys and challenges of the newborn period. My philosophy as a postpartum doula is rooted in gentle, intuitive support that honors both baby and parent. I believe every family deserves care, guidance, and reassurance as they navigate the first weeks and months together. I offer nutritional counseling, acupuncture for labour induction and moxa for breech turns. I am an experienced birth doula that focuses on helping the birthing parent trust their body and the birthing process. I help couples with encouragement, physical comfort measures, education and advocacy. I am a certified HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator and Evidence Based Birth Instructor. I teach virtually at the moment and hope to soon be able to teach in person again. Hi my name is Stephanie Zelembaba and I am a Naturopathic Doctor and co-owner of Abaton integrative medicine. I have a special focus in perinatal (from family planning through postpartum) and pediatric (from newborn to teens) care. Along with my Naturopathic practice, I teach HypnoBirthing prenatal classes (in-person and virtual, group and private) - helping expectant mamas (and their birth companions) develop the tools to have a calm, safe and as comfortable as possible birth. I am also a trained Naturopathic Doula, providing parent's-to-be with labour preparation and day-of labour support.

My birth journey started almost 20 years ago, with the birth of my own amazing child, whose unexpected breech presentation caused me to shift my birth plans significantly. Over time I have been called to support different parents as they navigate their own journeys into parenthood. When I was expecting my first born, I took HypnoBirthing® classes and had an empowering natural birth in a hospital setting with midwives. My second pregnancy was high risk and I again called on these techniques to stay calm and focused throughout pregnancy and birth. After my birthing experiences, in early 2018, I certified as an educator with the HypnoBirthing® Institute. It brings me so much joy to be in service to expecting families and I would be honoured to be chosen as your birth educator. Hello! I’m Anusuya, a Full Spectrum Doula, blessed to be the mother of two beautiful children aged 18 & 13. I’m someone who brings a calm, steady, and grounding presence, and I naturally extend that care to ensure my support person feels held and supported as well. My favourite part of being a doula is witnessing the moment someone realizes they can do this. There is always a shift when confidence replaces fear, and being present for that transformation is incredibly meaningful. It is also an honour to stand beside families as they welcome new life into the world, knowing I helped create a space that felt calm, safe, and supported. Alongside my doula work, I am an internationally certified Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Instructor, Yoga Therapist, and Face Yoga Trainer.
