I am not sure yet. Just getting started, I have an appointment with my OB on September 28th for my first ultrasound. I just had my blood pregnancy test and my HCG is 7858, but the first day of my last period was July 27th, which would put me around 6 weeks and 4 days. I am going to be a single mom. I am currently working on my budget, but my insurance covers a midwife.

I'm actually just looking for a midwife nurse to go to for a pap smear/annual appointment. I don't feel comfortable going to a traditional OB-GYN. I want to find someone who takes my insurance.

I would like delayed cord clamping, and no vaccines or shots of any sorts after baby is born, and to keep the vernix caseosa on after birth for at least 24 hours. I would like my husband to be there, and possibly my mother, along with a midwife and a doula. I would like some music, and support from everyone in the room. if a medical emergency were to happen, there is a fire station across the street, and hospital is 10-15 minutes away. This is my first pregnancy, and I would love a happy and safe home birth. I am still actively researching.
