Hi! My name is Lindsay Idler, and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula serving the New Jersey and Philadelphia area. Having doula support at the births of my 3 children unlocked my love for all things birth and supporting & empowering women. I believe everyone has a right to a safe, positive birth experience. My practice prioritizes nonjudgmental support, information for informed decision making, and helping moms and families advocate for themselves. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and our sweet dog. I also love a good fire pit, reading, and crocheting.

Recent review

"I am so glad we had Lindsay to lean on during my birth experience. She was able to provide helpful guidance and reassurance before, during, and after labor. My partner was grateful for her assistance with support techniques for me while I was laboring, and we were both glad to have her as a sounding board and a voice of comfort throughout. She also brought items to help create a soothing environment in the hospital room!”

Hello everyone, my name is Danielle. I’m originally from Trenton, New Jersey and now live in Burlington, serving families across Mercer, Burlington, and Camden counties. I hold a Master of Public Health and am passionate about maternal and child health and birth justice. I believe you are the expert of your own body and that your intuition matters. My role as a doula is to support and advocate for you while ensuring you have the information and education needed to make informed, confident decisions that align with your values and birth goals.

Recent review

Danielle assisted me during the prenatal, birthing and postpartum periods for my second baby. It was my second planned home birth, but in a different city and I was nervous about finding a new birthing team. After meeting with Danielle and expressing my birthing desires I knew she was the perfect doula for me. She brings a lot of thought and consideration in everything she does. She’s extremely professional, astute, timely and reliable. During times of uncertainty, she reassured me of myself and made me laugh and when I needed it the most. She showed so much care to my family at a very venerable time and even made our oldest child feel comfortable as he ushered in his sibling. I cannot express how pleased I am with her services. If I had to give birth again, she’d be the first person I reached out to.

When I found out I was pregnant, the thought of having a doula never crossed my mind. It seemed a little bougie for me, but when my doctor left the practice, I started to think about it. It was the best decision I made. At our first meeting, we went over my birth plan. Julie gave me things to work on at home, but she also came back another time to make sure I knew how to do those exercises. She was always checking in, and she always answered right away when I had questions throughout my pregnancy. When I (finally) went into labor, I was texting Julie in the middle of the night while I left my husband sleep. She came over later in the morning and I labored at home as long as I could. Julie had me doing all kinds on different movements and exercises to naturally progress labor because my plan was to go without an epidural (spoiler:I did not make it ha). My labor at the hospital was longer than I anticipated, and Julie never left my side. When I caved and got the epidural, she continued to help me with body positioning to try to progress labor without drugs. She spent 2 nights in the hospital with us. I finally delivered a baby girl and it was a beautiful moment. But just when Julie probably thought she was home free to go home to her bed my placenta would not deliver. I was rushed to the OR and my husband was left with our baby, terrified and confused. Julie did not leave his side. When I returned to recovery but clearly still having issues, Julie called my parents for my husband and did not leave his side until she met my parents and they basically forced her to go home and get some rest. I was in the hospital for 10 days and Julie was in constant communication with my husband to check on me. When I came home, she was one of the first people I wanted to see. If you're on the fence about hiring Julie, stop thinking and just do it. Not only will Julie make you feel more prepared and relaxed going into labor, but you will come out feeling like she's family.

Peace and blessings! My name is Xiomara, I am a mother of a beautiful girl. I am from the very small town of Pemberton, located in Southern New Jersey. I take pride and I am inspired by my (Afro Caribbean-Latina) Panamanian roots and culture. I believe in holistic and wholistic healing and practices, and the balance between the two. I am certified full spectrum doula, (through Doula Trainings International), Reiki Master, and Placenta Encapsulator. I became a doula because of my own birthing experience, which led me to my passion for birth-work. Helping families by educating, advocating, and providing a safe space for a meaningful and purposeful birth. No birth is the same, no pregnancy is the same. However, by providing a safe space, and exceptional services, we can shift the narrative so that more families are aware of birth-workers within and outside of the healthcare system, with a focus on culturally competent care. Our mission at The Purple Purpose LLC is to inspire our clients to become the highest most confident versions of themselves, while embracing their journey, from the beginning until the end. We aim to bring forth a new way to assist families in maintaining their health and wellness, before, during, and after birth. We want to bring a deeper level of holistic and wholistic practice that will allow personal and professional growth, but most importantly, a safe, successful, and purposeful birth .

Recent review

I had the pleasure of working with Xiomara for prenatal, birth, and postpartum support, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about her work, and truly attentive to the needs of her clients. From the very beginning, she was professional and supportive, helping me create a birth plan that reflected my wishes and values. During labor, she was a strong advocate for me and played a key role in making the experience smooth and empowering. Thanks to her support, I was able to have an unmedicated birth, which was a significantly better experience compared to my first. Her care didn’t stop at birth—she continued to check in during the postpartum period and even recommended excellent services, like a lymphatic drainage massage, that really helped with recovery. She’s very well-connected and a great resource all around. If you’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate doula, Xio is absolutely the one to call.

Robin was such a wonderful addition to our home the first few weeks after welcoming #2. She is so loving and from the moment she stepped in and held our little one, I felt at ease. She cared for the baby, made sure I was physically and emotionally well, and when morning came things were set for our day to start easier. My husband was on the fence about overnight help and as with many families, it ended up being such a good fit for us that we extended the weeks she was with us. Happy to give one on one reference information if needed!

My heart is in holding space for all experiences, whether it’s welcoming new life, processing loss, or finding healing in the postpartum period. I believe in the power of connection — not just between parent and baby, but also between people and cultures. I love helping others explore and embrace different traditions, ways of healing, and perspectives from around the world. Through this work, I aim to nurture, uplift, and walk alongside every person I serve with empathy, respect, and deep care.

Recent review

Having a doula is truly worth it, and my experience with Charlene Walker was amazing. We first connected online during the pandemic, and even though she was new to being a doula, her passion for children and helping others really stood out. Charlene later visited me and my kids in Baltimore, attended my doctor’s appointments virtually, and supported me through my planned C-section. She made sure my children were cared for and that I had everything I needed for delivery. She wasn’t just my doula — she felt like family. Charlene kept me calm and reassured throughout my birth experience. During a later doctor’s visit for my son, a nurse mentioned how much she remembered Charlene from the delivery and praised how well she handled things when my baby briefly wasn’t breathing. When I called Charlene about it, she shared that her focus had been making sure I was okay and that she had been in constant contact with the nurses. That meant so much to me. Even now, we stay in touch, and I can always reach out to her for advice or support. Charlene is compassionate, professional, and truly dedicated to her clients. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable doula!

Hi! My name is Kayla and I am trained as a Community Birth & Postpartum Doula. I am also trained in lactation support. I currently service Philadelphia and surrounding areas. I have been working as a fully bilingual Doula (English/Spanish), servicing a wide range of clients. I established All For Love Doula Services LLC, with the mission being to provide evidence-based and compassionate physical, emotional, and educational support to expecting mothers, empowering them to make informed and confident decisions throughout their perinatal journey. I’m a firm believer that every mom’s experience is different, and my goal is to come alongside you in a way that best fits your needs and desires. I look forward to working with you!

“Kayla is amazing”! She was my postpartum doula for several weeks. She has a wealth of knowledge in postpartum care and made me very empowered. Her program really helped me to attain the mindset I needed for getting through those days where I felt the most overwhelmed. She worked with me in creating affirmation post its that she later reminded me of when I needed them most. She was the sweetest to not only my baby boy but also to my 9y/o daughter who loves to converse about all things gymnastics and baking. She gave me time and company when needed. She met my needs by being intentional about the details of what I needed during her visits. My baby actually fell asleep with Kayla during one of her visits, which he doesn’t do with everyone. Kayla is very easy to talk to. Like a friend just over for sweets and good convos. She is very assertive when it comes to ensuring mom and baby’s needs are met. As she also reminded me that postpartum isn’t just black and white. My postpartum journey can be whatever I want it to be and she wanted to help me achieve my goals. Something as silly as me really wanting to organize my gym or take a walk, or even just doing nothing but caring for me and my kids. She encouraged me and never imposed what general “postpartum” should look like. It was tailored and personalized to me. Thank you Kayla for the reminder that postpartum isn’t a one size fits all. I’m thankful for my DOULA!

When a baby is born, so is a mother. Our gift to a new family, is non judgmental support. This means there are no hard set rules on the support offered as it is holistic in nature. Each activity is aimed to help the family navigate through the early days of the baby's childhood. No family is the same, therefore cultural sensitivity is of the utmost importance.
