Hi there, my name is Joann. I am deeply passionate about birth work and understand that each pregnancy and birth experience is unique. My goal is to provide evidence-informed care that empowers families to make the choices that feel right for them. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to support families in the language they feel most comfortable with. When I’m not supporting families, I’m busy with my three children and two Frenchton pups. I love connecting with people, sharing knowledge, and helping parents feel confident and supported during this transformative time.

Joann was such an incredible support to us throughout pregnancy, labour, and postpartum. Our baby is 6 months old now and when I think of his birth, I remember how amazing it was to have Joann there. I had a planned c-section after a very traumatic delivery with my first, so I knew I wanted a doula by my side, but also to support hubby in case he needed it. Throughout pregnancy, Joann was a cheerleader, always there to talk. When our little guy decided he couldn’t wait until his planned c-section date, Joann pivoted and met us as at the hospital as soon as we needed her. She came with her bag of tricks (lol) to help me through labour (a labour I wasn’t anticipating because of the scheduled c-section), which progressed so quickly, and she was so great at ensuring both myself and hubby were supported where and when we needed. She took beautiful pics too and stayed with us until we were settled in our room. The overnight visits were a game changer, too! We love and appreciate Joann, and couldn’t imagine what the experience would have been like without her! I’ve given birth without a doula, and with a doula - having Joann there was the experience any mama deserves when having a baby <3

You will not be disappointed with your choice of grace for birth and or postpartum, I have had 2 babies. My first was a very traumatic cesarean, So with my second pregnancy I reached out to grace and asked about her doula care. She made me feel confident in all the decisions I had to make I decided to have a second cesarean so she was not allowed in the operating room with me but she talked me through just about everything that happened, she made me feel confident enough to say what I did and didn’t want from the birth workers. She also helped me find a Midwife to go with, when coming back from the recovery room with my fiancé and I’s new baby we were greeted with a smile and helping hand with whatever we needed. Not to mention grace went above and beyond when it came to postpartum support, she came into my home and helped, she did dishes and folded laundry, helped care for my oldest daughter. She also offered to watch both so I could have a nap. Grace is a superior human and an amazing birth worker, I’m so grateful I had her there with me through every decision In my last birth and you would not be disappointed with her at all.

I serve clients seeking a positive birth experience in Vancouver, Burnaby and North Vancouver. My doula style is pragmatic, direct and non-judgmental. My clients have remarked that I provide a balanced mix of practical help and emotional support. My goal is to give new families knowledge and confidence about the childbirth process so they can go into it feeling positive and well-informed. I like to think of myself as the practical, evidence-based doula – with a deep reverence for the inherent magic of birth as well.

Jessica was an integral part of our birthing. She provided amazing support during a pregnancy, making herself available by phone, text, email and in person when we had concerns, or needed support. Jessica is an understanding, smart, reliable and supportive person who knows so much about pregnancy and birthing, and is able to provide advice and support as, you go through the adventure of childbearing. We feel so fortunate and lucky to have had Jessica as our Doula. As the supporting partner, when Jessica arrived during labor, she was able to take over the situation and provide my birthing partner with support and strategies as needed. Jessica knew when to give space, and when to take action, And was such a delight. After having our first child, I cannot imagine going through another birth without her. We are so thankful for everything Jessica. We are grateful for your involvement and Care

Hi, I’m Kelsey and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Pediatric Sleep Consultant. My sleep plans are evidence based and focus on the parent-child bond. I use a gentle approach that aims to strengthen attachment with your child. As an RCC, my sleep plans are covered under most extended benefits and insurance plans in BC. As a mom of two little ones, I also have firsthand knowledge of how sleep deprivation affects one’s mental health and wellbeing. I’ve been where you are and I want to give you hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Being a parent is tough, but getting good sleep doesn’t have to be.

Kelsey is absolutely amazing! She helped us achieve our sleep goals by creating a customized plan that worked for specifically our baby and our family. We had done so much reading but Kelsey helped catch small details we had missed or not placed enough importance on, which ended up making a huge difference! Our daughter is now the sleeper she was always meant to be because we know how to best support her! Kelsey was professional, supportive, and informative to work with. We felt instantly comfortable with her and would recommend her to anyone needing support with their baby.

I have the absolute BEST job in this world. I get to help sleep deprived parents regain their life simply by guiding them on how to teach their little ones how to fall asleep independently (if this is the sleep goal parents are wanting to achieve). I have five children ranging from ages 22-2 years of age, yes, my last one was a HUGE surprise, so needless to say I am no stranger to sleep deprivation. Six weeks after my youngest was born I was diagnosed with severe post partum depression and anxiety. I felt so inadequate because this left me so emotionally disconnected that I was unable to bond with my baby for 18 months. Fast forward to now things are better, we have bonded and are closer than ever. If your looking for ways to help get your little one on a good sleep and daily schedule, I am your gal. AND, I can work with you anywhere in the world:)

I found Rachael to be engaging and personable with strong attention to detail. Our boy was challenging and we had our doubts however Rachael's in depth consultation helped her create a very personalized sleep program made for our son. He went from waking at 11pm, 2am and 4 am to waking only at 4am.......within a week, the sleep we enjoyed cannot be over appreciated. Within two weeks he was sleeping from 6pm to 530am.......Her two weeks of support made that possible.....She was always ready and willing to help. Thanks so much.

I aim to support you in your journey of healing from (childhood) traumas and building strong relationships to become fully actualized as an adult. I understand the impacts of multilayered expectations placed on women, as a working, single parent who has faced burnout and other chronic health issues.
