From motherhood, becoming a birth and postpartum doula was a natural progression for me and I quickly found myself fully immersed in supporting clients through pregnancy, labour and beyond. It is in this role where I feel my intuition, guidance, and personal experiences to be incredibly supportive and valuable. The maternal period can be challenging, but with the right support, I know it can also be an incredibly joyous and transformative time. I am a diaper-free, breastfeeding, and HypnoBirthing advocate. I’m Cameasha. I support moms to take control of their pregnancy and birth to amplify their voice, feel confident in your plan and empowered in your journey. I am a Mom of 4 small ones.The youngest is 12 months. I am human just like you. Mommying is hard work and I am not above doing what I am telling you. It has actually not just changed my life but the quality of my life. Before I began prioritizing me, and working on my wellbeing, I felt like the whole world was closing in on me and no one cared. So I became a doula so moms would not geel that way. The expectations placed on moms is both flattering and irrational. So sometimes we are not heard. I am here to help you be heard and informed. Birth and pregnancy is an amazing thing but it can also be stressful without the right support and information to hold space and do exactly what you WANT. Not be gaslit or coerced into something you don't. Having an advocate that is there for YOU to support you. I started Strength of A Mommy to emphasize how moms are strong mentally, physically, and emotionally but we are not always superwoman, we are human. I wanted to also support moms to focus on their Mental and Physical Fitness prioritizing their health and putting themselves first. I believe in and focus on a whole person approach. Starting with mental fitness, physical fitness and emotional fitness. I have a Master’s in Forensic Psychology focusing on behavior, I am also a certified Personal trainer credentialed in nutrition, prenatal fitness and prenatal yoga to be able to offer mental, emotional, and physical well being for the mommies I serve.. I became a doula because I wanted to serve moms from the start supporting them to build their voice feeling empowered/strong from the beginning. I began my journey of being a Doula because of my pregnancy and birth experiences. They were good, bad, wonderful, and ugly. It was joyful and stressful all in one. In those moments where I felt low, fear, and defeated… it would have been amazing to have support and advocacy. So breathe mommy, I understand and I am here for you. My goal is to help as many moms as possible to never feel unsupported, overwhelmed, stuck, or alone. That feeling sucked. You are a mommy, but you are so much more and I am ready to support you how you need it.
