Hello! I’m looking for a doula available to support a hospital birth. I am currently planning on delivering at Metro Hospital. This is my first pregnancy and I want to do everything I can to help myself be supported during the birth, and after a lot of research I think having a doula present would give me that added assurance that I would have someone ‘on my team’ that could help me advocate for myself along the way.
I am hoping to find postpartum doula support and lactation consultation. If you accept Medicaid and service the Ortonville, MI area in Oakland county, please let me know if you have room on your caseload and if we might be able to good fit. Thank you 🙏

Hello, My husband and I are expecting our first baby around August 22nd. I hope to labor at home as long as possible and then will deliver in a hospital in Traverse City, MI. I would like labor and delivery to be as natural as possible, avoiding any unnecessary medical interventions for baby and I. I’m hoping for a doula who brings a calm gentle presence but is also able to adapt and advocate for me when needed. As a first time mom I’m hoping for support and guidance around all things lactation. I do also have a very friendly dog that will be a part of everything at home. He’s very gentle but also very much a puppy still so it’s important to me that we’re working with someone who’s is comfortable around dogs. My faith is also a strong part of how I approach birth and motherhood, so I would be overjoyed to work with someone who is comfortable providing support and encouragement from a faith based perspective. However, this is not a requirement. More than anything I just want someone who can respect my values and help me feel peaceful, informed, supported, and advocated for throughout my first experience with childbirth.
Hospital birth. My budget is up to 2800. My birth plan is saline lock , no epidural, no pint. I want to labor at home for as much as the labor as possible. I want the least amount of interventions as possible. I am ok with a newer provider.
We are currently exploring doula services for the birth of our first child and are looking for a supportive, knowledgeable provider who aligns with our values and needs. We are planning a hospital birth in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Our estimated due date is around [insert due date], and we would like support during labor, delivery, and potentially postpartum. Our budget is flexible depending on services offered, but we are ideally looking in the range of $800–$2,000 for birth doula services. We are open to discussing packages and payment plans if available. Our birth plan is to have a calm, supportive, and informed experience. While we are open to medical interventions if necessary, we would prefer a low-intervention birth if possible. Emotional support, guidance with pain management techniques, and advocacy during labor are very important to us. We are especially interested in someone who can help us feel confident and prepared, as this is our first pregnancy following IVF. For the provider, we are looking for someone who: Is a certified doula (DONA, CAPPA, or equivalent preferred) Has at least 2–3 years of experience or has attended multiple births Is comfortable supporting first-time parents Has strong communication skills and a calming presence Bonus if you have experience with IVF pregnancies or high-emotion journeys Bonus if you speak an additional language (not required, but appreciated) Regarding care details: This will be a newborn (first child) No known special medical needs at this time We are interested in guidance on feeding (open to breastfeeding support, but flexible) We may also be interested in additional support, such as: Light postpartum support Newborn care education Basic guidance on sleep routines Light household help (e.g., simple meal prep or tidying), depending on availability Our insurance provider is [insert provider + plan], though we understand doula services may not always be covered. We are open to any documentation needed for reimbursement if applicable. Overall, we are looking for someone who feels like a good personal fit—supportive, knowledgeable, and able to guide us through this experience with confidence and care.
We are adopting so a due date is unknown but likely within 2-6 months. We need someone who is cpr certified and has experience caring for newborns and able to provide full nighttime care at our home. This includes feeding, changing, swaddling, etc. This would be for at least the first 3 months.
In need of an overnight doula. CPR certified. Sleep training experience would be a bonus.
I'm planning on giving birth at Covenant hospital. However, I would like as little medical interventions as possible. This is my first pregnancy and I'm looking for someone to help me prepare for labor and help me through the birthing process to hopefully avoid a C-Section. I would also like to know if there is a doula who accepts aetna ppo insurance.
Plan to birth in a hospital, would like to attempt all natural delivery with no epidural. Insurance should take care of majority of cost. Would like support during birth/labor. Would like guidance for my husband to do most of the work with supporting me.
This is my first birth and we are giving birth away from home (our families are in Chicago) so I’m looking for extra support and guidance. We will be giving birth at Sparrow hospital. My goals are to avoid C-section (if possible), avoid any invasive tools or unnecessary procedures and avoid epidural (if possible). I’m open to someone with less experience and I am unsure on a budget at this time.
I need a cnm for insurance purposes and I would prefer a homebirth
Hello looking to see what are options and mainly would love postpartum help with baby
Hi LaShae, we met at Birth Detroit and you briefly spoke on your doula services. Right now I am on the search for a doula and I came across your page, just wondering if you are accepting clients right now.
I am planning to give birth at Alma Hospital and am currently looking for a supportive, knowledgeable doula to assist me through labor and delivery. My birth plan is simple and focused on having a safe, healthy delivery for both myself and my baby. I am open to guidance, education, and support throughout the process, especially in managing pain, understanding my options, and advocating for my needs during labor. I am hoping to work with a doula who is certified and experienced in hospital births. Experience with first-time or low-intervention births is a plus. A calm, supportive, and reassuring presence is very important to me. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff are also key. There are no special requirements in terms of additional duties such as cooking, cleaning, or postpartum household support. My primary focus is labor and delivery support, along with breastfeeding and latching support. The care recipient is myself and my newborn. There are no known special needs at this time. I am planning to decide on feeding breastfeeding and bottle feeding and would appreciate a doula who can provide guidance or resources if needed. My budget is based on what my insurance will cover. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and I would like assistance understanding what services may be eligible for coverage or reimbursement. Overall, I am looking for someone who will help me feel confident, supported, and informed during one of the most important experiences of my life.
