I am a mother to 3 (2 boys, 1 angel), and I am a loss and infertility mom. I am a Certified Birth, Bereavement & Postpartum Doula with my specialty being working with families who have endured pregnancy loss, infertility, and previous traumatic births.

I'm Ashley! I'm Ontario born, but the island has been my home for many years. I live near Nanaimo with my partner and our dog, Carter. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and riding my motorbike. In my spare time I love learning about nutrition and cooking traditional foods. Going through the journey of birth and postpartum, can be challenging - but it can also be a beautiful, memorable, and positive experience too! Having someone there, by your side making you feel empowered and encourage you to make the decisions you want for yourself, can play a huge role in how you look back at the experience. My passion is to be that person for you! I want to help you feel safe, heard, and supported during this journey.

I walk this path as a full-spectrum doula serving Skagit, Island, and Whatcom counties, supporting families through every phase of their journey with compassion, truth, and a deep reverence for the lineage of birthworkers who came before us. My work weaves modern care with ancestral knowing, honoring the understanding that my ancestors have always been the original doulas and community nurturers. Through Blakk Box Doula Services LLC, I offer birth, postpartum, and emotional support rooted in balance, grounding, and connection. My services include Reiki-infused massage, blessingways, placenta encapsulation resources, herbal teas and bath salts, yoni steaming, cleansing baths for trauma release, and intentional postpartum care that uplifts the body, spirit, and home. My calling is to create safe, loving spaces where birthing people feel seen, supported, informed, and empowered.
