Anna came into my life a few weeks after my twins were born in 2021. I was a first time mom of preemie twins. One with a medical condition. She provided my family with safety, comfort and care. From folding all of our laundry to tending to the twins throughout the night so that I could get some rest. Bottle feeds, diaper changes, bedding changes, nightly snuggles. She did it all! She literally sat on the floor between their bassinets to help sleep train them. She did night shifts a few times a week for me. It gave me the support I needed to be able to get through those early days with twins. Anna, we will be forever grateful for your care and support.

Hi, I’m Patice, a full-spectrum doula serving Toronto and the GTA. Nine years of supporting individuals and families has taught me every person comes into pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with their own story, priorities, and idea of what support should look like. That’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to doula care. My role is to understand what matters most to you and adapt my support as your needs and preferences evolve. Whether we’re talking through options during a prenatal visit, adjusting to unexpected changes in plans, finding ways to make labour more comfortable, or simply making space for a pause in the middle of it all, my goal is always the same: to help you feel informed, respected, and confident in the decisions you’re making. Good support isn’t about taking over. Support can be active in quiet ways. Sometimes it looks like breaking down options when things feel uncertain, so you can decide what feels right for you. Sometimes it looks like stepping back so you can focus on what your body and instincts are telling you. And sometimes it is simply making the space feel steady enough that you can pause and decide what comes next. The right support doesn’t draw attention to itself. It helps you feel more capable of navigating what is in front of you. Clients often describe me as calm, practical, and easy to talk to.

Joefin Peter

Hey, my name is Joefin (a.k.a. 10oclockjoefi). I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, and a certified sexual health educator. I provide education and support in Tamil and English! I have been doing this for 13 years, typically supporting first-time birthing people, racialized or immigrant families, or survivors. I like to describe my role as being there for your head and heart. While pregnant, I help you prepare for life as a parent, work with you to approach birth with confidence, and empower your support system to help you through the moment. Labour should be a purposeful yet manageable experience for you. One where you have control over the moment. After birth, I provide practical, informational, emotional, and social support. If you’re looking for a reliable cheerleader in your corner, I’m the childbirth educator or postpartum doula for you. I am a third culture kid who grew up in the United Arab Emirates and Canada so I have a special place in my heart for anyone who shares in the diaspora experience. I know firsthand the unique challenges this poses in major life transitions. I trained in Chennai, India with an OBGYN in providing pregnancy and postpartum support to parents in a culturally aware manner. I came back to Canada with that knowledge, learned about the Canadian labour/delivery system, and began supporting immigrant and refugee families through childbirth education and health systems navigation. This has shaped my practical approach to parental support and newborn care. Drawing from my biology and psychology education, I bring a matter-of-fact yet empathetic approach to everything I do. I conducted research on how intersectional identities impact sexual distress and my paper has been published in the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality! Given my areas of expertise, I have a passion for myth busting and science communication as a means to combat misinformation. This often empowers parents to make informed decisions while avoiding unnecessary pressures. My lived experiences make me passionate about supporting parents as they create happier, healthier, and safer childhoods for their babies.

Joefin was our postpartum doula for the first three months after our second baby was born, and I genuinely can’t say enough wonderful things about her. Having her support during those early months made such a difference for our whole family. She has such a calm, warm, reassuring presence and seemed to intuitively know what I needed, whether that was help with the baby, a chance to rest, practical support around the house, or simply having someone there who understood how intense the postpartum period can be. I always felt completely comfortable leaving the baby with her so I could sleep, shower, or have a little time to myself, which was invaluable. She was also absolutely wonderful with our older daughter. She made such an effort to connect with her and make her feel included and special during a huge transition for our family. Our daughter adored her, and it meant so much to have someone who understood that supporting us postpartum meant supporting our older child, too. She was even fantastic with our dog and fit so naturally into the rhythm of our home. Joefin is kind, thoughtful, dependable, and incredibly caring. She never made things feel clinical or intrusive; it genuinely felt like having an extra pair of capable, loving hands in our home. She took care of all of us, not just the baby, and made those first few months feel so much more manageable. We feel incredibly lucky that Joefin was part of our postpartum experience. I would recommend her without hesitation to any family looking for a postpartum doula. She was such an important part of our baby’s first months and our transition to becoming a family of four, and we’ll always be grateful for the care she gave us.

Mandy Sounder

Becoming a parent is a season you shouldn't have to move through alone. I'm Mandy, founder of Agape Care Doulas in Toronto, supporting families through birth and the postpartum weeks that follow — including overnight care. As a mother of four, I know both the beauty and the exhaustion of those early days. My role is simple: to be a calm, steady presence so you can rest, recover, and settle into life with your baby at your own pace. Whether you're planning for labour support, need hands-on help at home, or want someone with you through the night, I'd love to hear what your family needs.

Recent review

We truly cannot recommend Mandy highly enough. We have now hired her to support our family twice, the first time for six months with our first baby, and again for eight months with our second - and without hesitation, we would choose her over and over again. I’m someone who doesn’t trust people easily, especially when it comes to my children. Inviting someone into your home overnight and trusting them with your newborn is incredibly personal. Out of all the doulas available, Mandy would be my first choice every single time. From the moment she walked into our home, she brought a calm, reassuring presence that made those exhausting newborn months so much easier. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about newborn care and was always happy to answer our endless questions, offer guidance when we needed it, and gently share her expertise without ever being pushy. She was always reassuring us through the many “Is this normal?” moments of early parenthood. Most importantly, Mandy cared for our babies as if they were her own while always respecting that they were ours. She was gentle, patient, attentive, and incredibly intuitive. We slept peacefully because we knew they were in the safest, most caring hands possible. After having Mandy with both of our children, I honestly can’t imagine those postpartum months without her. She gave us not only rest, but confidence, reassurance, and support during one of the biggest transitions of our lives. If you’re considering hiring Mandy, don’t hesitate. She is worth every penny, and I would recommend her to anyone without the slightest reservation. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had her as part of our family’s journey, and if we were ever fortunate enough to have another baby, she would be the very first person we’d call.

Hi there, my name is Marj — a birth and postpartum doula, a yoga/fitness instructor, an essential oil educator, and a mom of two! I am deeply committed to wellness as a holistic lifestyle. You're welcome to book a time in my calendar (https://calendly.com/marjwong/30-45min), I'd love to connect OR send a DM on IG @marj.wong As a DONA certified doula, I believe it is within each birthing person’s innate wisdom and ability to give birth. As well, birth should be an empowering experience. Throughout both of my own pregnancies, I practiced prenatal yoga, and I attribute my own remarkable birth experiences to my yoga practice and the HypnoBirthing method. From motherhood, becoming a birth and postpartum doula was a natural progression for me and I quickly found myself fully immersed in supporting clients through pregnancy, labour and beyond. It is in this role where I feel my intuition, guidance, and personal experiences to be incredibly supportive and valuable. The maternal period can be challenging, but with the right support, I know it can also be an incredibly joyous and transformative time. I am a diaper-free, breastfeeding, and HypnoBirthing advocate. I've been trained in many comfort techniques and tend to keep my approach educational and informative. I am a birth worker since 2012, I have provided a variety of services in a variety of settings around the world. I am located in Toronto, Canada, but I am available to travel for minimum one month commitments. I have worked in Macau & Hong Kong, Manila, Nairobi, Vancouver, and Guadalajara, and have a global perspective on birth physiology and traditions. I provide trauma-informed, and culturally safe care, be it education, lactation support, birth and postpartum doula services, or midwifery care. I’m available as a midwife only where a license isn’t required. My approach is very collaborative—rather than “save” you from unsafe practitioners, I prefer to work with you comprehensively in the prenatal period to be sure you have the environment you need for a peaceful and satisfying (physiologic, if possible) birth. My years and depth of experience and knowledge sets me apart from most locally-focused doulas, so I tend to work well with expats and globe-trotters like myself. My happy place is home in Ontario in the near North, at the cottage that has been a part of my family’s experience for 100+ years. I love all animals but especially dogs, and I ADORE drinking coffee and discussing big ideas.

If you want the best, hire Christy. Where to begin? We LOVED working with Christy. If you’re reading these reviews wondering if you should have her as your doula, you definitely should. Our experience with Christy was nothing short of extraordinary. After the birth, I described Christy to my husband as our angel - as it felt that she magically appeared and blended in, giving just the right level of support and guidance, without being overbearing or intrusive. Her presence felt very natural and she completely put myself and my husband at ease. Christy played a pivotal role in helping me establish breastfeeding, which really helped set us up for success with feeding, and having her there to help with this immediately after the birth was invaluable. After our daughter was born, Christy continued to check in with us, and we felt extremely well looked after. She is clearly an expert both in caring for mothers in the postpartum period, but also in caring for newborns, and her years of experience meant we felt in very capable hands. Her dedication to postpartum care is unmatched, and her deep understanding of the emotional and physical needs of both the birthing person and their partner is truly remarkable. Christy’s passion for what she does shines through in every interaction, and her knowledge in perinatal care is both comforting and empowering. I give Christy my highest recommendation – any family would be very lucky to have her as part of their parenting journey!
