Rae P. Jimenez

11 years of experience

My name is Rae Pittenger-Jimenez (she/they); I am a midwife, full-spectrum doula, and analog film photographer living in the Pacific Northwest. With over a decade in perinatal healthcare, my work weaves together clinical care with photography and writing, creating a body of work that is both interpretive of the reproductive experience and indexical to the unseen labor of family-building and parenthood. My creative and support practice is informed by years of clinical experience in prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, combined with my own experiences of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.

I truly cannot recommend Rae enough! She was my doula, midwife, and birth photographer for all three of my births, and I honestly can't imagine going through those experiences with anyone else. Rae wears many hats, and her experience as a midwife allowed her to provide an exceptional level of care as my doula. From the very beginning, she made me feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. Her calm presence, incredible knowledge, and unwavering encouragement gave me confidence through every stage of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. She always knew exactly when to offer guidance and no question was too small. She advocated when needed and provided a reassuring presence in the birth space. She made even the most challenging moments feel manageable. Beyond labor and delivery, she also provided thoughtful prenatal care and postpartum check-ins. I am beyond thankful for the support Rae provided. As a photographer, Rae beautifully captured the raw, emotional, and fleeting moments of each birth. Those photos are among my most treasured possessions, and I know I'll cherish them for years to come. She not only documented each birth but also supported our family every time it grew, making each experience even more meaningful. If you're looking for someone who will wholeheartedly support you, provide exceptional care, and preserve your birth story with stunning photographs, you won't find anyone better. I am endlessly grateful for everything Rae has done for my family and will cherish the memories she helped create forever.

Neha Chinchanikar

Hi there! I am Neha, a birth and postpartum doula based in Sammamish, WA. My path to becoming a doula was shaped by my own births and medical experiences at Northwest Hospital, Swedish Issaquah, and Virginia Mason. I know the power of a doula because I lived it twice, whose presence completely transformed my experience. She was the anchor that kept me grounded, providing the safety I needed to trust my body. I know that even the most empowered birth can be followed by a challenging recovery. My own postpartum transitions were marked by the reality of Postpartum Anxiety (PPA), a difficult breastfeeding journey, and a 5 finger diastasis recti that required patience and dedicated healing. These challenges were humbling, but they were also my greatest teachers. My Commitment to You: Full-Circle Care: Dedicated support throughout your pregnancy, labor and postpartum check-ins as you settle into your new life at home. Cultural Heart: A deep respect for your family's traditions and a commitment to honoring them from pregnancy through postpartum. Advocate and Empower: Empower you with resources and advocate for your choices in the birthing room.

Neha was a great birth doula. I wouldn't have been able to labor at home without her. She used many methods to help me cope with my pain. She was there from when I just had some cramps. When I texted her my symptoms, she quickly arrived at our home, helped time the contractions, poured ice over my body to distract me from the pain, used essential oils, and help me use the TENS machine. She helped my partner support me by suggesting position changes, feeding, and watering me. She gave me a list of aftercare items that have been very important for my recovery. All I desired for my birth was a quick labor and vaginal delivery, and Neha was essential in making that possible. I am very thankful to her, I wish everyone had someone like Neha to support them during their births.
